Someone already posted a nice how to on how to get out of your situation.
Ok so what he just posted i've tried, I did the exact same thing. My phone wouldnt mount in twrp, couldnt get download mode to work, so the easiest and quickest way is to order an otg cable.
Here is my post of me trying to figure this out, finally solved it. Spend the $1.69 with free ship from ebay for otg. format flash drive to fat32 then put your rom and mount the otg.

Hey guys, it's been a while!
Anyway, before I even got my I9000 I had everything sorted to install Darky's ROM and the Speedmod kernel. Some time between them working perfectly and now, I plugged the phone in to Kies and it has tried to update me to GB. SM and DR did not like this.
I managed to do a factory reset (or whatever it is in CWM), and that got the phone to boot, but it isn't pretty. I get the kind of graphical messing up that a dying GPU would render whilst booting the phone, it reboots 25% of the time I am using the music player, and I can NOT boot in to download or recovery any more. I already tried plugging it in to Kies in the hopes it could just wipe the phone over and start again, but it simply does not recognise it.
Likewise, I would look in to the files I need to just do the equivalent of a full format with Odin/ADB, but without download mode I don't think that would even work.
So, the question is; just what the **** am I supposed to do?
USB recovery jig.
can you get into your phone ??????????? I mean can you reach Settings ???? because I didnt read all your speech .
Search for "recovery.tar" and flash it with MOBILE Odin, this would give u cwm and flash a new rom in cwm or flash a stock rom with mobile Odin. Good luck

Phone is more or less functional, it's just that I can't get in to Recovery or Download. At all.

Mobile Odin? Interesting, will look in to it.
EDIT: This recovery.tar; should it be on my phone already or do I have to find one? Because Astro can't find jack **** on my phone.
EDIT2: Scratch that, found it. Trying to flash it using "Open File..." has just resulted in it being stuck at:
"Flashing...
Flashing Kernel..."
for the last 10 minutes...
Thanks for the replies so far guys!
solved it ???????????
Nope. Sorry, I have been editing that post rather than enter new posts (until someone else posts, of course).
EDIT: Still flashing...
Ok, it now won't boot at all (stuck at the Samsung splash load screen), BUT, importantly, I can get in to download mode and CWM recovery.
What do I download and do to entirely wipe the **** out of this phone and start again?
EDIT:
Fixed. Sorted. Thanks for your help guys, it is much appreciated.
Hello everyone. I'm new to Captivate and I might have done something I shouldn't, or something just went sideways while flashing roms but I'm in a pickle and I hope someone can help me.
The situation is this:
I flashed AOKP milestone 6 on my Captivate, and I had some trouble with it, so I wanted to move to a different rom. I tried flashing Cm7 112, it finished installing and now, as it boots, it's looking for the sdcard and after 20 seconds when it doesn't find it, it reboots. When I go back into recovery mode, it won't see the sdcard either so I can't load any roms. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Edit: I should have mentioned, the kernel is CWM 5.0.2.7
Update: I managed to get into download mode and flashed ClockWork with Odin, but no change, CW doesn't recognize the sdcard either.
Any chance to save the device?
Try flashin back to Stock GB i897ucKK4, if u can still get into download mode.

Thanks for the answer, tried it, now the phone is bricked to the point my computer won't recognize it as I insert the USB cable and no way to get into download mode anymore... Looks like I'll have to get a Jig...
Hey guys
I've been following the forum for a while, but never posted anything, but now I need to.
So, I flashed a CWM, to be more specific this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852725
And now, I can't do nothing with the phone, can't flash the recovery 5.0.26, can't recover backup.. When I try to restart the phone, it aways goes automacally for the recovery, I took the battery off but still nothing. Even pluging the charger, the phone turn on and goes to recovery..
So I'm here to ask: what should I try? I think if I install CWM via ODIN everything will be ok right? I can't do this right now cause i'm without my usb cable. What u guys know about this?
Thread moved to the Q & A section, post in the relevant sections next time.

Hi everyone
After a lot of reading i decided to install a ROM. Now i was able to try to but none of them worked, so i ve been trying now for 3 days. I think i did it all as stated in this forums, it launched but never go to really open the OS, used to get stuck at the motorola or nexus logos or what ever logo from the different ROMs i downloaded.
I was able to go back to the original ROM but today im not being able to do so...
What can i do? Im at recovery and im able to restore boot but at system it says:Error while restoring /system!
I had it backedup at pc so i have also removed the one at sd card and tried with the one from PC.
What can i do (that doesnt involve getting another phone)
You can try RSDLite to flash back stock ROM just be careful and flash right ROM, otherwise you can brick your phone. You can't flash custom ROMs with RSD.

Boot the phone into bootloader/fastboot?
You have an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery installed? I assume you have both since you were trying to install custom ROMs.
I have tried to the fastboot... im trying AP fastboot and theres where i am stuck right now.
Yes custome recovery and unlocked bootloader there. I had the phone moved to another couple of roms but the never loaded correctly so i went back to my original ROM, i tried a few other ROMs and none worked so this time i try to go back but it doesnt come back anymore...
Try downloading PhilzAdvanced CWM Recovery. It is based off the latest CWM and should be able to flash your backups or ROMS. Maybe not your backups unless you made them with a CWM based recovery, but it should get you booted up.

1. Read the Myth Tools OP
2. Download Myth Tools
3. Download Philz CWM
4. Download a stock fastboot
5. Place the fastboot zip and the extracted recovery/cwm.img in their respected folders
6. Run Myth's executable and follow the instructions
7. If that doesn't work then read the faqs here and in the RAZR HD forums, all your questions have been answered already.
Still with same issue...
Phone is not recognized by the computer (tried 3 different laptops)
Cannot download the Drivers as its an automated process that begins when you connect the phone...
Does anyone knows an alternative to install AHD drivers ?

Again, my main issue device not detected by pc... so i cant download drivers using automatic tools that detects the phone because again phone is not detected and mythtools goes straight to the motorola device manager which needs a phone connected to act... so in a very bad circle i am... and i would try to use someone else phone but here in Costa Rica i know of noone else with a Motorola phone... everyone thinks it no longer exists... and i havent found a way to download the specific drivers for my specific device in a way it doesnt require to be connected.
You can boot into recovery? If so download the latest philztouch cwm recovery, put it on your sd card, and flash it from recovery. Then flash the ROM you want.

Nice i managed to flash the philztouch recovery... the damn phone doesn't want to accept any ROM... keeps aborting them. So far thanks a lot... ill read like crazy today again and ill ask for help if failure salutes me again!
:highfive:
If you made a backup of your stock after rooting try flashing that and then hooking your phone up to your pc

It finally works
It works... i think somehow the recovery stopped working at some point... now with Philz phone was recognized by pc and i was able to use Myth tools to do the job. I think this will be my last Motorola...
Things to highlight:
1 i did read a lot before doing anything, still somehow screwed up, did read lots before asking here, still needed to ask... got answers, still needed to ask more... it was fun as everyone at work said: " its bricked fool buy a new one and stop playing to be good at something" but hell yeah its fixed!
2 i will try again to install another rom, i wont give up damn it!
3 i might begin with my wife Note 1, its old so its ok to brick it ha ha ha
4 damn it guys you are cool... wish i were 10% of you guys!
5 I think instead of all those different options out there we should recommend only to use the myth tools, its a complete package and its easy to use even with examples for newbies like me.
Again thanks and questions on friday after i brick it again e he he he...
The other stuff is there so you can understand what the automated stuff is actually doing.

Ok so i have started the process again. I cant tell what i am doing wrong. I have flashed 2 different roms and none worked... its like im missing something.
I root the device, unlock bootloader... set the recovery with cwm... flash the rom... and it goes to moto logo and then black screen... am i missing something?
I did the exact same for the stock rom and it did work... also i did it all exactly the same using now myth tools... so any ideas? Should i leave the phone alone because its just simply not going to work or am i missing anything?
I'm searching for a bootable SD image for i9070 but I'm unable to find one. I need it to try to fix a bricked phone.
Does anyone have a link to one or perhaps is skilled enough to prepare one ?
Thanks!!

No I can't, it doesn't boot in any way. Something goes wrong after flashing a cyano beta. I didn't do the flash myself.
I know it's possible to create a bootable sd from a working device or rom image. Actually I already used one for a different device.
Here are the instructions. Tryed it but I'm not skilled enough...

Flashing Cyanogen MOD for our device can't make your phone not booting in Download mode. If you flashed wrong firmware, you could demage your motherboard and there is no solution for that I think...
What CM beta did you use?
P.S. And how do you think to use it if you can't power on the phone?

Don't know which version, if it's important I could ask.
I know it could be damaged the motherboard, but I think there's a possibility that it's just corrupted the bootable partition. In that case, inserting a bootable sd could recover the phone. Here has been done with an S3

It is not important what version, it is important if it was for our device or not.
Another question, is your phone dead or you get stuck on Samsung logo when you try to power it on. I think that sd boot does not mean anything if you can't power on your phone... As I saw, to do this you need adb shell access.

Sorry, I do not want to get you demotivated. But think, how would you get that command executed?
Here says:
3. After it's done writing the img, take out your SD card and put it into your phone. With the battery in the phone, insert the SD card, plug the phone into your machine, and try to boot to DL mode via the usual method. This WILL take several tries and possibly rewriting the img file to SD card again to work.
I know it's a very remote possibility...
