To add, i just ran the rogers RUU and returned my phone to sense 5.5. Right after the initial setup i went to about>software update>check for update and the device found it right away. Im also super cid with S-OFF and unlocked bootloader. Im guessing youre either rooted or youve deleted/added apps in the system/app directory.

Hey Guys...
I need to find the proper shipped ROM so I can go back to stock...
I found one that says Virgin mobile but it has AU in the title so I was thinking maybe that was for Austriala...
Do I just download one of bell's considering they share the network?
Sorry I'm a noob

You stated you wanted to go back to stock, so did you S-OFF using Revolutionary.io and are running a custom ROM at this point in time? Is your intent to return to stock and S-ON state?

Yes. All Canadian Virgin android devices use the Bell ROMs.
They don't just share the network. Virgin in Canada is owned by Bell.

Since you are S-OFF using Revolutionary, when you run the RUU it should update everything except the HBOOT which will leave you S-OFF. The RUU will replace CWM with the stock HTC recovery, so you will need to reinstall CWM and then you can use CWM to install the latest su-3.0.x.zip to get root and superuser back on the stock ROM.

No, in order to run a stock RUU, your bootloader needs to be relocked.

I'm trying to get back to stock rom, i've watched many videos on this today alone and here's what i think i know...
i need to download the relevant RUU to force back into stock, the RUU i need is only in OTA.ZIP format which the All In One tool (that was so kindly pressented to me on a silver platter ) doesnt like. I am an expert in unlocking / locking the bootloader though...

Not to worry. When we have S-OFF you can flash any RUU you like. So it will be back to stock. The only bad thing is if you REALLY want to have all the Vodafone bloatware back that came from your original ROM. But there are other vodafone RUUs I think, but just not from your region.

I have the exact same problem. I can get into the stock recovery but my device is not recognized in fastboot or adb
I got the same error when attempting to sideload 4.4 on my phone which I had previously converted to 4.3 GPE (rooted) using the instructions in the developer's forum. Guess it's time to do a full reflash.
I guess doing a full reflash is not gonna fix it. I would suggest flashing the stock recovery again and give it another shot.

seems like lots of issues with 4.4,
from @makbil:
It seems only s-off, 4.4 compatible recovery and a clean flash are required. If all 3 are not met -> bootloop

I'm also S-off with rumrunner, H-boot 1.54.
Flashed the RUU for 4.4 and all is fine. Luckily I backed up the data I cared about beforehand, just in case.
Good Evening:
I have a HTC One M7UL with Telus (Canada). I have been having problems with the phone charging while it's on and my last ditch effort is to go back to stock and hope something that's wrong will correct itself.
I have HBoot 1.44, S-Off, returned recovery to stock, relocked bootloader, 1.29.661.
I tried using the RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_TELUS_WWE_4.19.661.8_R_Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L_release_351500_signed_2.exe to update and return to stock.
Everything goes fine until the RUU asks me to upgrade from 1.29 to which I select "yes" and then I get an Error (158) and it tells me to find the correct RUU.
Anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong or if they have a different RUU that I should be using?
Any assistance that gets this working might receive a "donation"
thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,
I recently upgraded my m7 to a new m8 2 days ago and I can't update it to android 4.4.4. I go to check for updates in settings and it says i'm up to date. I tried updating my profile and prl and still no change.... Do you think because my phone is brand new i have to wait a few days for it to push?
I dont know what to do..
Thanks!
Any luck?

Being rooted has nothing to do with flashing firmware on your device. It has to do with whether or not the device is S-off (which again has nothing to do with root). When S-on you can only install firmware that's digitally signed by HTC, meaning you need to use the full firmware. If you're S-off you can use the unsigned, modified firmware.
Had same problem, RUU from PC completely stock worked fine, then unlock, root, sunshine, and prosper.
