Like many others I'm experiencing the purple tint issue and would like to get the sensor or phone replaced.
I've never attempted to get a phone back to stock so would appreciate a hand if possible.
Cheers

OK, you can s-off using revone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582
Remember you need a 4.1.2 ROM preferably, what ROM are you on now?
I'm on maximushd 20. Any suggestions in a ROM to throw on before s-off?

Is that based on Androind 4.3 or prior? if it's 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 then go ahead and try revone on it. if it fails, you can always use a guru reset or I have a 4.1.2 ARHD ROM that I know works with revone.
I'll PM you the link, in a bit.
It is 4.3

I am not sure what the plan is, but I am guessing you can S-Off, remove tampered flag, install rogers nandroid backup, unroot, reinstall official recovery, relock bootloader, and send it in ?

Hi @overkil6, for now you need to stay unlocked as I couldnt find a full RUU for your version, only a CWM backup: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-roger001-1-29-631-17-2013-06-03-zip/
1- So go ahead and remove TAMPERED using revone
2- then download the file above and unzip it on your computer, it will give you a folder named something like "2013-10-13.13.20.30" (just an example)
you're going to have to push this to the correct location using adb
"adb push 2013-10-13.13.20.30 /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/2013-10-13.13.20.30" (obviously replace 2013-10-13.13.20.30 with the correct name)
then reboot to recovery "adb reboot recovery", then in CWM select restore, you should see the folder you just pushed, select it and it will begin the restore operation.
3- I don't know if that backup contains stock recovery or not, so while still in CWM, do "adb reboot recovery" and report back if it booted to CWM again or to stock recovery.

Once you download the nandroid, unzip it on your PC, it will give you a folder named similar to "2013-10-13.13.20.30" but with the date the nandroid was created.

Hey all. A some time ago I rooted my phone, unlocked bootloader, no S-OFF, and installed HD Revolution, 31.6 or something and it worked great for a good two months. But now my phone got jammed, I booted it and it doesn't work. Can't access recovery or start the phone, when I go to bootloader and try to go to recovery, it says entering recovery and boots again. I've tried to install multiple RUU's via fastboot method but it won't work. I always get the message remote: 24 parsing android info file. Tried to relock bootloader and then it gives the error 12 parsing android info file error.
So where to now? Can't get adb to work, tried multiple ways. It could've been the solution to boot to recovery? Can't boot to recovery via fastboot. Any ideas?
Have you tried reflashing recovery via fastboot?
Can you boot to recovery via fastboot with a recovery img file stored on your PC?

I've tried reflashing multiple recoveries multiple times, and always did fastboot erase cache. Couldn't boot to recovery via fastboot command also, phone just jammed for 10minutes.
And I just figured out, I can't get adb working because I can't start my phone. Am I correct?

As said, I can't get adb to work. I think the phone should be started for it to work, but as said, I can't start it. Only available to bootloader etc.
I just want to know why the recovery won't work, I've installed many recoveries many time, everytime it says entering recovery, and then just boots. And boots again for a million times, but what is the reason?
I'm trying to boot the recovery through fastboot, but the phone just freezes. Well I'll wait for 30min and we'll see if it works. I doubt.
Is there any Roms or RUUs I could install straight from fastboot?
So is the problem that I've got hboot 1.55? And I can't downgrade it because I can't use adb. Where to now? Anyone?
According to other One users, this problem occures, if a wrong version recovery is used. I've tried every CWM version for every HTC One, international, verizon, AT&T and so on including touch versions but none of them works. So can anyone help me? I can't use adb at all.Anything to do or should I throw it out of the window?

yeah .. if you flashed a cdma recovery on your GSM phone you probably killed the partition structure and it's not easy to fix.
Their are a couple of guys here that can do it, but it's way over my head, ... maybe @nkk71 will help you

I had this issue and is annoying how long it took to me fix. I had to try and get adb to work on several computers and eventually it did, from there I installed everything stock then unlocked the phone and root, install custom recovery and s-off with chosen rom. Now if you install twrp the latest version and sideload a Rom you will be good to go or get a usb otg. I was able to install custom recovery by adb but couldn't do anything else. I was able to sideload using twrp recovery in adb

Hi all. I am in need of some information. I am returning my M7 to rogers for warranty purposes. Currently it is rooted and s-ff. I am also running a gpe rom. I found a nandroid backup on Htc1guru.com. I followd crushalot's instructions for restoring to stock with an RUU. Everything goes well until I try to enter the second command of ( fastboot flash zip ruu.zip ) but my command window will not allow me to. I have even tried sideloading through twrp but can not get the commands right. Can someone offer me some direction? Thanks.

Do you have a link to your procedure? I would have thought Nandroid restore and RUU reflash are mutually exclusive--accomplishing the same thing by different methods. (Note that a Nandroid restore won't give you the stock recovery partition, and also may not give you a folder called /data/preload, which is wiped during the rooting process (so OTA updates won't work, though you will be on the stock system.))
Also, how does your command window not let you run the fastboot command? Is it because fastboot isn't found? If so, you can navigate to fastboot or fastboot.exe's directory (works on windows only; use the "cd" command), or just add that directory to the PATH variable (windows/linux/mac).
Thanks for the reply fenstre. Here is a link to the proceedure. http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/return-stock-guide/ . I have downloades a Roger's nandroid backup from his site. I have renamed it ruu.zip and placed it in my abd/fastboot folder. When I start to follow the directions for restoring using an RUU everything starts off ok. I start with the command prompt and enter "fastboot oem rebootRUU" and I get the silver htc logo on my phone's screen. I then enter "fastboot flash zip ruu.zip". It says you have to enter it again because the first only prepares the flash. I cannot enter it again on my prompt window.
I was just curious. I just got a replacement M7 from Rogers. Would it be possible to make a nandroid backup from the New phone and flash it on the one going back? Just a thought. I just need the one going back to have the Rogers splash scree and sense so it looks stock. Thanks.

A Nandroid backup is just that, a Nandroid backup. The clue is in the name... It has to be restored from your custom recovery," well the custom recovery for which the backup was made ".
You cannot run it through fastbootRUU.

Did you check the MD5 on the backup and are you running at least TWRP 2.6.3.3. Try the RUU.exe.. Make sure you the adb/fastboot drivers installed.

An OTG cable has female USB port on one end and a mini USB( that fits in the USB power/auxiliary socket of your phone.. A USB stick is inserted in the female end.. Go to mount then mount usb. Sorry if you already know this info.

I have all of the drivers installed and am running TWRP 2.6.3.3. Every time that I right click on the RUU.exe, it hangs up and freezes my computer. Only once did the program open up and that was just after downloading it. I am familiar with an otg cables operation. Just never used one before.

yes, he is speaking about samsung phones, htc phones are very different than samsung when speaking about flashing stuff.
post the output of "fastboot getvar all" except the IMEI and SERIALNO so we can determine what are your options (1st step in the guide btw)
have you made a nandroid backup before flashing a custom rom?
Post the output?

you have flashed a rom, so you should know how to use ADB and FASTBOOT commands right? if not, there are many guide out there that explain everything, just do a quick search on google: "how to use fastboot"
Code:
fastboot getvar all
then copy/paste the output here (except IMEI and SERIALNO so we can see what version exactly of the HTC one you have and so determine what options you have. (restore using a nandroid backup, a guru reset rom, or a ruu)
And I think I did. Can't remember lol

"can't remember" is not a valuable answer, we need yes or no if you want us to be able to help you.
When I can't remember how to spell a word, I look in the dictionary  same principle apply here, if you can't remember if you have made a nandroid backup then look in the phone's storage if there is any.... or boot in recovery and check if there is any backup stored.
if you have one, it will be easier so you might want to take 30 sec of your time and check

yes this matter if your hboot is 1.44, your phone will not be able to connect in fastboot mode. If this is the case, use a windows 7 PC or a linux like Ubuntu.
It's hboot 1,55. It says fastboot USB, but won't show on fast boot or adb. How do I go back to stock rom

so we are back at post #7, to determine what you need to go back to stock, i need to know your "fastboot getvar all" so we can determine what options you have. For now you can't post this information because you have drivers issue. Fix your drivers and then post that info.
OR
restore your nandroid backup (if you have one, you still not have answered this clearly btw) from recovery, this option will not require adb and fastboot
OK once I get it working I will send the info. Yeah there is a nand backup using twerp. If I done a restore using that will it go back to factory stock Rom?

restoring the backup will restore your phone to the same state it was when you did the backup (only you can know). So if you did the backup when the phone was running the stock rom, it will restore the stock rom. If you did the backup when you were on stock rom + rooted, it will restore stock rom + root.

Doesn't seem to be a backup available. Your choice is to use your own backup (if you have one) or install a custom rom using
1. adb push romname.zip /sdcard
or
2. adb sideload rom.zip
I need help, I just got this phone and was unlocking bootloader and starting to root and then I was trying to erase cache and delvik and didnt see that system was also checked, so I accidentally erased the OS and I am struggling with the command line. My device is not being recognized when I type adb devices, I did manage to get fastboot getvar all info. I cant do adb push command and I dont know what rom to install, whether its stock or custom. As I said my bootloader is unlocked but The S is Off. I am going crazy tryna figure it out. I thought maybe I should update my recovery but Im stuck even on that since my device isnt being recognized. I read through a bunch of forums for the same issues but most are international or different carriers. This is the first time I really had an issue with unlocking and rooting. This command line is killing me. Someone please help

OK first thing your TWRP is a very old version. You should update that first. If you hadn't wiped system flashing a rom with that twrp would have you in the same position with a soft brick anyway. Also the latest version allow MTP in recovery so you won't need to add push
Use this one for now http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-m7.img
Were you planning on flashing a custom rom. Or did you want to keep the stock rom?

Same as you flashed the other twrp.
Download the .img copy it to your fastboot folder. Connect fastboot usb in the bootloader then in the fastboot command window type
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery "name of recovery".img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then from the bootloader menu select Recovery. You can check it's the new version as the top of the TWRP home screen.
Then go to "Mounts" and there should be an option to enable MTP. Activate it if it's not already. Then you should be able to access your internal storage on your PC as if it were booted to Android. Copy your chosen rom and flash Install it.
If you still can't get MTP or adb to work you may have a driver problem.
Open "Device Manager" -> select the unknown "One" -> right-click -> "Update Driver Software ..." -> "Browse my computer" -> "Let me pick" -> "Android USB Devices" -> select "My*HTC*..." -> install the latest in the list.

Can I piggyback on this thread? I was running a ROM, did an "advanced wipe" in TWRP, erased everything (including "Internal Storage") and of course this erased the OS, so I used adb push to put the exact same ROM's flashable zip file back on the phone and tried re-flashing. But now I get stuck on the boot animation. More than half an hour.
Also TWRP is taking a long time to load now (3 minutes or so?). Did some partition get corrupt or do I just need to be patient and use a different technique?
Yes, I know TWRP 2.6.3.4 is out of date but honestly all I did is wipe things, the same combination of ROM and recovery was working before I touched it today!
S-OFF, unlocked, superCID etc. So I have options.
It's been quite awhile since I touched this phone - apologies if this is a newbish question..
You can always try exactly what I did. It worked because my TWRP was old. What have you got to lose? Just download from above link and type "fastboot flash recovery Name-of-file.img" and it should flash the new one on and go to mount then tap disable MTP and then press again to enable it, that reloads basically. Then plug it in and it should show on your pc, place rom in phones root and then exit and install rom. It was simple although your S is Off so there might be a different way.
Ok I'll give it a shot..
