You can get the amazon reading app for pc. Then you can read books on your computer. But you cannot copy the books and put it on your hard drive because amazon protects their electronic products to prevent copyright. Hope this helps.

[Q] .Apk app request (free on play store) for Kindle Fire HD

I am in Nursing School and I use my Kindle Fire HD for class and for studying.
I need an app call PAL3.0 (practice anatomy lab) which is free on the Google Play Store (about 1GB).
As you may already know, Google Play is not on Kindle without Root, but .APK files DO work on the Kindle.
If someone could please upload the .APK file or give me directions as to how to obtain it without root, I would be greatly in debt to them.
-Thank you so very much in advance

EDIT: Nevermind didn't work

Go to
http://www.torrapk.com/
and see off they have it there (I had a quick look but didn't see it). If they don't, make a request for them to get it. If it's free there'll get it and email you when they've uploaded it (about a week). They'll get any free app.
Otherwise do a search for the apk file and you may find another site that has it

Convert to epub and use aldiko reader. Epub is the best format for reading in mobile devices.

[Q] Question about APK Downloader for Amazon Appstore

Hi there,
I'm the author of APK Downloader, an extension for Chrome & Firefox that helps you download APK files from Google Play Store right on your browser.
Now I'm thinking about making a similar extension for Amazon Appstore.
Do you guys think it will be useful? Are you going to use it?
Please answer the poll.
If it gets enough attention, I'll think about making it.
Thanks

Hello redphx.
I thank you for all your hard work on both the browser extensions and I think that making one for the Amazon appstore would be very beneficial to the users. I have voted yes on the poll accordingly.

You will be hard pressed to locate a rootable 5th gen Fire. Your best best is a 3rd (not 4th) gen HDX. 2nd gen devices are also rootable but they are rather slow relative to today's standards.

Nope - haven't spoon fed since our youngest figured out the basics. Rooting Amazon devices is not for the faint of heart. Research is your friend.

Lol. Actually did the support community a favor as you'd be back for the next spoonful in no time. As previously mentioned 3rd gen HDX is your best bet if you want a rootable Amazon gizmo. Everything else is hit/miss or based on dated tech. The dead speaks.

Hello!

I was referred to this site by Chris Titus on YouTube. I'm here because I need to remove the bloat from my Amazon Kindle 10 HD (received in 2015?). Right now I'm searching for the Amazon Fire Toolbox to download. Can anyone help point me to it? Thanks!
