I was referred to this site by Chris Titus on YouTube. I'm here because I need to remove the bloat from my Amazon Kindle 10 HD (received in 2015?). Right now I'm searching for the Amazon Fire Toolbox to download. Can anyone help point me to it? Thanks!

I know a ton of people check this subforum for new application releases from the big companies and I didn't see this mentioned.

Thanks for posting this!
As I always do with big companies like this, I checked Amazon's website to see if they truly had released an app and someone wasn't just playing with us in a phishing scam. It's legit, it's real, and here's the link:
Amazon's Press Release
I'm not a huge Amazon user, but I do shop there from time to time. This is really a great way to reach customers. Kudos to Amazon!
Now if they could just make a Kindle reader for Android...

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) please post the apk file?
I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here
Amazon.com app
Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything
And I understand it probably only searches amazon.com, but I'm really not that bothered about that
There's already discussion on this. It was the third result when I searched: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544239

I am in Nursing School and I use my Kindle Fire HD for class and for studying.
I need an app call PAL3.0 (practice anatomy lab) which is free on the Google Play Store (about 1GB).
As you may already know, Google Play is not on Kindle without Root, but .APK files DO work on the Kindle.
If someone could please upload the .APK file or give me directions as to how to obtain it without root, I would be greatly in debt to them.
-Thank you so very much in advance

EDIT: Nevermind didn't work

Go to
http://www.torrapk.com/
and see off they have it there (I had a quick look but didn't see it). If they don't, make a request for them to get it. If it's free there'll get it and email you when they've uploaded it (about a week). They'll get any free app.
Otherwise do a search for the apk file and you may find another site that has it
New to the site and forum. I have a rooted Kindle Fire HD 7" and I love reading from it. I made some purchases and would like to download the file of the purchased ebook. How do I download the mobi or epub file from the Kindle to my PC so there is a copy on my hard drive?
Thanks for any help!

You can get the amazon reading app for pc. Then you can read books on your computer. But you cannot copy the books and put it on your hard drive because amazon protects their electronic products to prevent copyright. Hope this helps.

It can take a little while as the site is just people with a common hobby coming together. There isn't a team of paid "customer service representatives" here. Some other member who has knowledge of your issue has to come across the question and answer it.

You will be hard pressed to locate a rootable 5th gen Fire. Your best best is a 3rd (not 4th) gen HDX. 2nd gen devices are also rootable but they are rather slow relative to today's standards.

Nope - haven't spoon fed since our youngest figured out the basics. Rooting Amazon devices is not for the faint of heart. Research is your friend.

Lol. Actually did the support community a favor as you'd be back for the next spoonful in no time. As previously mentioned 3rd gen HDX is your best bet if you want a rootable Amazon gizmo. Everything else is hit/miss or based on dated tech. The dead speaks.
