All I can see is that it limits Samsung apps to only three category choices: Health/Fitness, Lifestyle, Clocks. It used to also have Utilities, Finance, and something else I can't remember.

Hey I know its out there somewhere but I can't find it. I accidentally lost my copy of the older version of Google voice and now I can't make free calls anymore. Anyone know where I can get the apk for it? Thanks

Couldn't you just DL it from the market?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
No the market has the updated version that has a static dial out number so the free calls "hack" is useless unless you have the older version of Google voice. I have seen it available on one of the android news sites but i can't find it anymore. If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated
Find an older theme that included it in the theme??
I think this is the version you want. Sorry if that's not it though.
he wants the 0.3.4 one with the push enabled
i can post it but not sure if its allowed
It's a free app, so it should be...

Technically yes and no....you should know that
Nothing happens till Goggle comes after XDA
Good point, will post when I get home
What's the difference between the two versions? Did something drastic change?
I was looking for something in the app market and happened to run across this. Looks like a new update for Youtube. Seems like a little smoother interface and bit more finger friendly. Just figured I'd share!
The native YouTube app? Or are you talking about a 3rd party one?
I ask because I'm not getting an update notification. Since its one of my most used apps I'm definitely interested in any new improvements
The native app. I didnt get a notification for it either but it's def a different verision then what I had before. Try searching for it in the market.
I think it may be for 2.2 only.

I'm running Cog Beta 5.5. Which is 2.2.
But, it looks like it is completely separate than the YouTube app which comes pre installed on the captivate. Just downloaded, and so far I like it.
Here's the Appbrain
EDIT: It also allows you to edit the SafeSearch controls. Which I had heard previously Samsung (or ATT) disabled.

Can anyone else confirm this? I never got a backup so I don't want to upgrade unless this is true.

It definitely does let you edit the safe-search controls. First thing I did was turn them off
still cant watch a lot of music videos (thanks to VEVO) and a bunch of popular videos (worst dj ever) are still not viewable or searchable.
Have to use the regular Youtube site and use flash for those videos.
It clearly states on the AppBrain page that it is for 2.2 and up, so no dice for us Eclair users.

new and improved....
yeah,i downloaded this yesterday and i really like this version- the interface looks much better dark and i like that i have access to my channel when away from my computer...found out about the new youtube app through android central-no notification was sent to me since the captivate doesn't officially have 2.2?(i have the leaked 2.2 )
thanks for the headsup!!
New app looks awesome Thanks for the find.
Can someone please go to the new YouTube app (if you have it) go to settings and see what the application version is, please?

Really liking the new update. Again this is for 2.2 only, it didn't show up as an update to my current youtube app, but it did replace it once I downloaded and installed it.
Hopefully Google continues to add more and more of the stock apps to the market... one way to combat the horrors of Sense, TouchWiz, etc.

Confirmed working on my end.
Definitely an improvement but still can't comment from within the app which I hope they implement
Hi helpful people of XDA.
I've received my One and I'd very much like to keep it in my possession. Just wondering if there's a find my iPhone style app available for it? Or if its in settings somewhere?
Edit - Also while I'm here, the phone doesn't seem to distinguish between H and H+ it's annoying, is there any chance of being able to see the difference?
Thanks.

Hello Everyone
I was hoping someone could help me. I saw a facebook feature on my mothers phone that I'd like on my own.
After a LOT of googling and searching around i've found out that the name of the feature i'm looking for is "Ongoing Notifications".
If i'm not mistaking, this is something that was released in a version of Facebook that was only available on the market for a short amount of time before they suddenly removed it again. Ironically, my mother (that pretty much NEVER update her apps) managed to get that update within the short timespan it was out. I live nowhere near her, and therefor i'm not able to backup the app from her phone and just install that on my own.
I THINK it was either version 3.6.1 or 5.6.1 (pretty sure it was the latter), but searching around I find no evidence of 5.6.1 being a valid version number.
Does anyone have the version of facebook i'm looking for installed on their phone, and would be so kind as to back it up and upload it somewhere? I would be eternally grateful, cuz this is annoying the crap out of me :cyclops:
//Espen
Edit: In case people don't necessarily realize what the feature actually does, i'd like to update this a little.
"Ongoing Notifications" adds a facebook bar in the phones notification center (dropdown menu), and an icon in the top left corner. It displays the same as your standard browser notification bar does, when logged in.
It's version 3.6.1
Let me upload it.

First 15 days is free before the fee. You have unlimited converts. At least that's what the email said when I signed up for it.

Doesn't state the amount. I will know after I have finished my trial. Right now I converted the Superuser and Tasker apks to Tizen. I did email the developersfl for permission to do so. Now I just need to find a way to side load the apps to the watch.

I found the story where I got the $5,000 from: http://www.cnet.com/news/software-converts-android-apps-to-tizen-os-too-bad-theres-no-phone-yet/
It says it's from "Infraware, a Korean software developer and creator of the Polaris Office suite for mobile devices" so it's the same company as your Polaris App Generator site.
"Infraware is charging developers $5,000 an app, but will provide support for two years -- Moon considers that the shelf life of most apps. The huge fee also helps to deter pirates from ripping off apps and putting them on Tizen."

Good luck! I can't help you with much else, but to sideload/install with Tizen sdk, the command is "sdb install <WidgetName>.wgt".

Well from what I can tell it is trying to get Root permissions and Tasker seems to be functioning but with limited results. Trying to see if I can move Titanium Backup and ES file explorer to get a file manager and backup stuff done.

Well it looks like someone found root for the Gear 2. Don't know if it works for the Neo yet. Lol one step ahead of me.

I was able to port Titanium backup over but I would need the dev's permission to post it. Other then that I wasn't able to get anything ported over. It took forever though.
