Wondering if somewhere I accidentally loaded something for a different version of the phone. When in bootloader it says it is looking for a file that isn't 0P6BIMG it says it's looking for 0P6BDIAG. Anyone experienced this before?
It's looking for both of those file names and a few more, are you putting it on the root of your sd card
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yeah, putting it on the root of the sd card like I have a bunch of times but it can't find the right file. I know on my previous phones the ".zip" didn't have to be added to the file name as it was a hidden component but I've tried it both with the .zip added and without and still no luck.
My phone will eventually find it and some small little loading bar pops up on the side but then it goes away and goes back to the previous screen. lost myself
are you trying to flash the h/k firmware? If so is your CID set to 11111111. If you don't have super cid it wont flash because its the not the correct region for your phone. You'll have to set super cid and try again
Or, take the Android infotext from a Sprint m8 Rom and replace it in the zip...I will make a flashable for you

I got my GTab 8.9 (i957) and rooted, played around and was enjoying it then realized I had a whole load of pixels out on the screen. I didn't drop it or anything like that, but I need to send it in for repair.
I was reading around and found a file I957UCKJ7_I957ATTKJ7_ATT.zip on the sammobile.com site but I wasn't sure how to properly flash it, and wondered if it was going to reload the stock recovery image as well. Do I need to unzip it, since it holds the I957ATTKJ7_I957UCKJ7_I957UCKJ7_HOME.tar.md5 file? If so, do I put that in the PDA slot in Odin? I'm hoping to get the thing shipped asap, but I just want to make sure I get everything off of there that I can for now.
Thanks all!
You will find answers in the sticky by nirogu325 "guide and toolkit". in general, it seems you are on the right track. I don't have your device, so cannot be more specific

Flash the zip in the pda slot. I can't remember if you have to unzip it or not. If you flash the zip and it doesn't work then unzip it. Sammobile.com has the stock rom. It will replace the recovery to stock as well

And as long as the default settings in odin aren't changed (do not check repartition) you will be fine.

I have a Verizon HTC One HBOOT 1.54 with S-OFF Unlocked boot loader and SUID but every rom i try boot loops at start screen only thing i can do is restore backup os. I did do full wipe every time. Driving me crazy i want to install Android Revolution HD 22.0 but no go. Also tryed 4.0 and insert coin all boot loop and never load.
Is it the firmware? Verizon is still on 4.2.2 and those roms are 4.3.

You can NOT flash GSM roms. You need to flash Verizon specific roms. And if your device is anything like a Sprint One, flashing a GSM Rom probably messed some stuff up. If it did you'll need to RUU, that is if Verizon has an RUU.

You don't flash an RUU in recovery mode, you flash it in fastboot.

I went back to stock using motox toolkit and then I installed recovery...I want to stay at stock but I want to install update which I downloaded zip....How do I install zip In recovery are there any
Option for updating phone in twrp2.6.3.1 or do I just flash zip as normal
.

At first you need to extract your zip file. then you can install it...
The OTA update file is downloads folder...so I extract the update file in downloads folder and then go in recovery and install it...

An update.zip, an OTA, is installed as is, usually from stock recovery.
I tried to install zip through recovery but it says failed....I read in android forums that there would be an option saying UPDATE FROM SD CARD but couldn't find in recovery twrp2.6.3.1 ...

On my xt907 root had to be hidden too. Not sure of the X but pretty sure it is same.
---------- Post added at 12:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:39 PM ----------
If unlocked, There use recovery tools to flash the stock recovery.img you should find around here. Then hide root. Of course you need all bloat put back too
---------- Post added at 12:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ----------
If not unlocked then you must disable & uninstall SS, at least the xt907 needed it.

You can see this thread help.. I will it may be help you..

Sorry. On the X, ota update zip files can only be installed via stock recovery. They can not be installed via twrp, cwm, or such.
So I unroot the device and then update to latest KitKat version and then root ITT..?

K. First, your boot loader IS unlocked? Correct?
If so....
The easiest thing to do if you're trying to update to 4.4.2 is to flash the firmware you are currently on, from fastboot or with rsdlite. This will put you completely stock, ROM and recovery if you do it correctly. Then when you boot into the system, it will ask you to update through ota. Do that and install. Done.
Then you can root again.
If you indeed have an unlocked boot loader that is.
Just use the guide in the link already posted above. "Return to stock"
Or check the rsdlite thread and do it that way.
You might want to backup apps and data and move it to a PC first. If you care to.
---------- Post added at 01:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:59 PM ----------
You can try to flash the stock recovery and then get the ota...but other root changes you may have made will make it fail also.

I have a play store nexus 6 that had been working fine until some days ago. Long story short I flashed resurrection remix and couldn't get signal so i dialed *#*4636#*#* as suggested and tried switching settings to get a signal and haven't been able to get a signal since. In no way am I saying the ROM is the cause just stating how I got here. I must have changed something there that needs to switch back but no idea.
I used the toolkit for Mac to unroot and go back to stock and still I get no signal. I popped my wife's att sim and her signal sticks. With my Verizon sim in it connects for a few and loses signal again and occasionally tries to connect again but never comes back. I know its trying to connect when I see the exclamation by the data signal.
I went to Verizon and got a new sim card and still no dice. So is there a way to get back to pure stock out of the box? I believe I downloaded a factory image on to Mac but can't flash that until I get home Tuesday from holiday vacation and use my PC to flash it. Again, I'm not sure if that will get me back to being able to get a signal. Suggestions? Thanks!
Try formatting everything and flashing stock images. I've seen them floating around in update.zip format. Don't try to do a *228, that will result in needing a new Sim again.

The factory file that I have on my Mac is .tgz file which I believe would need to be flashed on thru a program on windows. Or is that incorrect? Can it be flashed in adb?
Edit: Did a search and going to flash the system files in adb and see if that works.
Use unarchivr or however you spell it. There is a guide in the general forum on how to flash along with setting up adb fastboot and how to use them.

Flashed all the images manually and got it working again.
Good deal!

This morning, I flashed a 8MB boot.img (I realized it later), then my phone's IMEI became empty. The sound was also not working.
After I flash a modem (amss) using amss_unlock via recovery, IMEI become 000000000000000 and sound become working. SIM is detected and working. It stays until next boot.
Flashing stock ROM via Odin doesn't take my phone to normal state.
I'm not sure about this, but I think my EFS got corrupted. Google took me to this page. I want to try to restore EFS using QPST, but i don't have a QCN file from a working SGA phone.
If anyone willing to share QCN file, I would be really grateful. It would save me a lot of time.
Note: I concern about privacy. So, IMEI number may safely be removed from the QCN file using hex editor.
Anyone?
