[Q] Android System Battery drain from sensors on HTC One. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently flashed a new ROM over my GE android revolution ROM and since then I have been getting strange Android System Battery drain from what seems to be my light/proximity sensors. I have no idea what app is causing this problem because even after a fresh wipe and install of a completely new ROM I still get the same issue. I have tried a lot and I really have no other options than to reach out for help. I heave searched and found no solutions.

[solved] upgraded 253 and got battery draining & very hot issue

I flashed romaur 4.x, each version also found very hot and crazy battery draining issue even full wipe in recovery.
Finally, found the NFC couldn't start and the option missed in setting, know that there's got a new firmware for NFC, so I tried factory reset and the update pop up after reboot....
then..... problem solved..... although the battery still use faster than 434....

[Q] How to reinstall System firmware

Im new to the LG phones and I need help.
I have a LG Thrill P925 that has a charging issue. I bought a new battery and it does the same thing with it. It will charge to 5% and stop.
I tried to recalibrate the battery but to no aval.
It has Android version 2.3.5. ICS has never been on this phone. I want to reflash/reinstall/format and install the system firmware. Ive tried Factory Reset but it didnt touch the system but wiped everything else off.
I need to figure out weather this is a system firmware issue or weather the charging circuitry is toast.
How would I go about doing this?

[Q] Battery Drain issue after updating to MIUIv23

I am experiencing a battery drain issue after updating to MIUIv23. I don't know whether its only me or all of you. I am posting here to know whether there is any way of reverting to v16 or any better way to solve this battery drain issue. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you
before reverting , check under battery use ,which app or device is using the battery most, some times it could be some spurios app, try cleaning your cache to clear them
if that doesnt work try factory resetting and installing your apps
You can always revert to the previous MIUI version by formatting your phone using MiFlash (check MIUI forum for more details).

Official factory/stock lenovo freezing and shutdown

I would like to have more information if users have experienced the issue of often freezing and shutting down of the device on the k50-t5.
This is happening to a specific device that has never been rooted neither by recovery, not even by softrooting with applications such as kingroot.
A hardreset on the device through the lenovo recovery did not improve the issue.
A hardreset through the chinese recovery has not been performed yet.
I myself due to immediately rooting it have not tested the official stock rom to have more insight to compare it with this other device.
I'm not thinking of rooting this device since this problem, what i had in mind is also resetting through the chinese recovery and if the problem persists update a later version of an official stock rom to see if it has improved.
I would appreciate it tremendously if someone had more information over this matter or any opinions.
I have encountered many of these issues in the past yet all of were fixable. Mostly software issues or what comes into my mind is a defect battery.
Could be more however i am hoping for the best.
The device has been used one month and since 2 days ago frequently shows this issue.
Within an hour it has been 6 times the last being directly after a hardreset with no applications installed.
topic solved turned out being no hardware problem. it was unusual however for it happened also in the recovery not just the OS

I've tried I think about 9 ROMs in total now, some from hackerpower's excellent thread and some from NeedRom, including the latest ROW and Chinese ROMs - none of which have been stable for me. Well, the best so far was the Lemonchello Novamod, in terms of features, smoothness and battery consumption, but after a few days that too crashed and the phone refused to boot any more. The problems have occured often whilst using YouTube or embedded video, and sometimes just using a web browser (I've tried various).
What was the hardware issue you encountered, and what was your solution? Many thanks!
i havent been handson with the device having this problem, although the issue was due to official stock rom and recovery.

GPS Issue - No longer seeing any Sat in Sky

Hi Guys,
I'm still stuck on an old developer ROM android 5.0.1. (I really can't be bothered with the fuss of re-installing GAPPS and MIUI 8).
Issue is, GPS has always been flaky, but now it's not seeing any Sats in the sky at all.
Could this be an issue fixed by updating to a newer version of Android, or is my GPS Chip dead?
Thanks.
Probably something went messed up.
So, I would suggest, do a fresh install of a ROM. Any ROM... MIUI Dev / stable. Or AOSP Android 7. GPS works on all versions.
