I just finished doing all of the steps needed to flash a rom, kernel and etc but I was wondering if I could just flash a kernel on the stock sense rom that's on my htc one without having to flash a rom? *any help is appreciated, thanks in advance* :good:

Most Roms come with a kernel, if only the stock one, but yes, you can flash a kernel separately, without flashing a Rom. This is normally how you flash a custom kernel. I highly recommend either of flar2's kernels: ElementalX or Bulletproof!

My power button is kind of broken and before it breaks completely, i want to enable S2W on my phone.
Its S-ON and i dont want to S-Off it. Its kind of risky i think.. I have rooted my phone successfully by HTC-dev unlocked bootloader.
Hboot: 2.02.0002
Sense: 3.6
Android: 4.0.4
I just want to get S2W functionality on my phone. I read about this here and i got choice i guess:
1) Flash a custom ROM
>> Will this work with S-ON ? I have to flash the kernel manually, right ?
2) Flash just the kernel that supports S2W
>> Is there any kernel that i can flash manually that includes S2W and works with stock ROM ?

you can flash a kernel with s2w, but will need to follow instructions to get the kernel booting on your phone with s on. zimage injection does not work with s on
You will have to repack the kernel and flash modules, like on hox

ok i flashed vipervivo ROM but battery life is pretty bad.. S2W works good..
so what happens if i restore the nandroid of original stock ROM and flash only the kernel from the ViperROM (boot.img) manually using fastboot ? how can i get modules for that ?

Viper uses redux kernel so of you flash that it will work. There's a separate kernel thread, you can find kernel and modules in the zip. There's a full boot.img in the redux zip

Correct. You might need to flash the sense 3.6 version to have wifi working. sense 4 and 3.6 use different wifi drivers

No problem, of you didn't have a venom signature it would be a different scenario

I accidentally changed them.. :0 now I it randomly reboots... can someone please give me the stock voltages for the HTC One Google Play Edition 4.4.2 KitKat ?
Or can someone tell me what I have to extract from the rom zip file to restore the stock voltages ?

Omg!!me has a test kernel with s2w and dt2w but none seems to reply for my request of being a guinea pig..i pm'd mdgpc and got ignored..omg noone wants help from here..omg!!
