Notification closing active app. - Pebble

Hi, im using Notify Pebble and Timer+ on my pebble.
If i set the stopwatch on to time something and i the recive a notification the Timer+ app exits and when the notification auto dismisses it just goes back to the pebble menu.
Is this normal? If it is then this means the Pebble is usless as a stopwatch or a timer.
Hope somebody can help me

[Q] Alarm Notifications

I am using the built-in calendar to keep track of my appointments and set alarm notifications. Currently, when a notification happens, it makes a quick sound and then puts a notice in the pull down bar. Is there a way to make the notification persistent until I acknowledge it? I would like it to sound off every minute or two until it gets my attention. If it can't be done with the built-in calendar, is there a good app that will do this?
Don't think there's a way with the stock calendar. Calendar snooze app is what I use. You get two notifications initially but the app lets you choose your sound and it will persist.

Unable to get Pebble Notifier+Tasker to send notifications

Hey everyone,
I've got my Pebble watch working great with the stock Pebble app and sending Gmail, SMS, Calendar notifications. But I'm unable to get Pebble Notifier to play nicely with Tasker. I've followed these instructions but when manually playing the Task, nothing happens:
Low battery notification
Create a new profile:
Add a context, choose State -> Power -> Battery Level. Set the levels you want it to notify you at, then hit the green check. In the Task, simply choose the plugin "Pebble Notifier" then choose to configure it. Give it a title and the body of the message you want to receive. I set the title: "Phone battery level" and the body to be:
Phone's battery level is %BATT %
which would display: "Phone's battery level is 30 %" If the trigger level was 30.

Is anyone having this trouble? I'm using a Nexus 4 running PAC ROM 9/17 (4.3) Nightly and Franco r183 kernel if that matters...
Thanks!

Not really much help, but works as expected for me. Stock s4

In Pebble Notifier you need to make sure Pebble Notifier is checked in the list of apps or else it won't send it's own notifications (which is what that profile in Tasker is creating) to Pebble.

Tried that but it still didn't work for me.
Ended up doing it the hard way via shell:
am broadcast -a com.getpebble.action.SEND_NOTIFICATION --es messageType PEBBLE_ALERT --es sender MyApp --es notificationData '[{"title":"Phone battery","body":"@ %BATT %"}]'

I didn't need to do that
Here's my settings:
Pebble Notifier
- Notifications only
- Fetch detailed notifications
- Notify when screen is on
Pebble (Settings -> Notifications)
- Always Send notifications
- Send 3rd Party Notifications
Found this thread with a similar issue.
For me it was the fact that Pebble Tasker was installed on the phone though not used.
Once that was uninstalled it all worked.
Just thought I'd add that in case anyone else is looking.

A solution to weak vibration

Working with tasker and AutoNitification, I have found a way to make tasker notify me with a bit more force.
Unfortunately this is not a free solution, but at $1.61 USD to unlock AutoNotification, it's not too bad.
The Notify Vibrate function in tasker has a custom vibration that mirrors on an android wear watch.
Below is the profile and task information I used for my setup.
Tasker Profile:
event->plugin->autoNotification -> on intercept: apps->[hangouts] (this can be changed to be any app you wish)
Tasker Task:
1. Notify Vibrate
Title:New Text
Pattern: 0,500,250,500(these values are milliseconds, numbers in odd positions are periods of silence, even positions are periods of vibration)2. Wait:
3 seconds.3. Notify Cancel
If a second notification arrives and the initial notification is still present, the new notification will not play, hence the notify cancel. Also if the notification is canceled before the vibrate pattern is finished notify cancel will cancel the vibrate pattern, hence the wait.
If anyone finds any methods to improve this, let me know and I can update the post.
Thanks! I'm gonna give this a try!
Hi I have just added a "make notifications vibration stronger" in last SWApp Launcher Wear version:
https://plus.google.com/+CyrilPreiss0/posts/CUX1DsHCTTw
hi, personally I use the application (Feel The Wear) live with my gear it can manage the vibrations for each app, I have yet to find better. (Sorry for my English I use google translation I'm French)
COOL~ Is this Real~?

Repeating timer question

Device: Pebble Time
Goal:
No Bluetooth connection
Start a repeating timer (vibrate every 5mins)
By shortcut button (ie. Long press up)
Without leaving the watchface
Stop by same method.
Anyone have an Idea how to do this?
The only way I can think of is using Tasker (needs bluetooth) or using a timer app (leaves watchface to go to app).
Any help is much appreciated
Pebble Cloud would make adding this function easy. They have great examples and tutorials. That would be one way to add this.
Your idea about tasker would work also, you would need to start a timer, alert, restart timer, stop timer if pebble connects.
Message me if you are interested in Pebble Cloud, I can send you a zip of the basic time date weather battery bluetooth disconnect layout to get started. It's actually a lot of fun to write your own watch face!

Don't show sms preview at night

Here's one of those "how do I do this with Tasker?" questions...
I've got my SMS app set to show a preview of an incoming text. That's fine normally, but at night I use "Night Clock" on my phone as my alarm clock, and if I get a text it pops up a preview, which both blocks the time shown and creates a brighter screen that is annoying. I've already got a "night time" Tasker profile that handles volumes and notifications, so there's no audible effect, but I'd like to not get the preview during that same time. Anyone have any idea how to disable the text message preview when this profile is active? The message app is Verizon's message+, btw.
Thanks.

Does Do Not Disturb block visual notifications?

I would say that belongs to app feature. Maybe you can try to have Tasker auto dismiss it, but it will still show up first.

DnD does not block the notification. And auto-dismissing it would be fine. Now I need to figure out how to do that. Thanks!

yeah from what I understand DnD would just disable sounds and lights, what an app tries to show is something else. Maybe you can can have Tasker detects the popup and tap to dismiss it. You can also try the AutoInput plugin.
Ahhhh, auto dismissing notifications is easy!
Use AutoNotification - it's a fantastic app that's part of a set of tools.
https://joaoapps.com/autonotification/
You can do SO much with them. With tis app, all you'll do is monitor for new non-persistent notifications, then dismiss them.
One thing I use it for is when I unlock my phone, and I have a new SMS, Whatsapp, or email, the notification shade slides down so that I have easy access to them.
I did try out AutoNotification and it worked for me. I intercept the new message notification then, if do not disturb is on (nighttime setting), I send the back button, which dismisses the pop-up. Cool.
Thanks!
