try to hold Power for a while or power + vol down. Do it under a bright light.

Do the Home and Back buttons blink when you hold the power button down? Also, when doing the bright light trick, make sure you're not blocking the ambient light sensor (two holes in upper left corner) with your finger.

Yes they blink, i tried to tryed to turn it off and to shine with a flashlight directly into the light sensor. How does that trick actually work? Should i just let it blink orange the whole night?

Maybe let it charge overnight. My phone has done that occasionally when I've run it all the way down, but a hard reset always brought it back.
The "trick" is really an interlock to prevent you from restarting your phone in your pocket or a purse. If something presses against the power button but it's dark, the phone won't respond.

It usually means a low battery. It sounds as if yours isn't taking a charge. Keep trying to power it on, but if it won't go, there may be a hardware fault. It does happen.

Power the One off. Charge for 10 minutes using the wall charger. Then simultaneously press the volume up - volume down - and power button for 2 minutes. Then power the phone up normally. Battery should theoretically be reset.

If you run the battery completely down it will charge very slow for a period of time until it get a certain amount of charge. Hence the orange blicking light. its taking a charge, albeit very slowly.. just leave it plugged in to the wall charger. it may take quite a while. but try resetting the battery first

Hey everyone. So today while at work I had my One plugged in and charging, also had an aux cable plugged in listening to music. Out of nowhere I heard the music stop. Went to wake it and nothing but the LED light in red was on. I've held power button for minutes, power+vol + and - for minutes and nothing. I've tried all that with the bright light on the prox sensor as well, NOTNING.
This is driving me insane. I don't get how the red light is constantly on. When I've held the buttons the back and home buttons don't light up at all.
Has anyone had this and been able to fix it? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks guys.

Yeah I've emailed HTC. I'm keeping the phone unplugged. Going to let it die completely. Hoping the led will turn off and then I'll plug it in. We'll see.
Hi there
Today my phone just turned of by itself and wont turn on anymore
i have tried holding power and volume together
have connected it to charger but it is not charging
i even held the power button for 3 minutes but nothing is happening
Please help me
If you can't get it to respond at all, then you have a hardware issue and need to make a warranty claim.

For how long? If you haven't already done so, leave it on the charger overnight and try again in the morning.
I have it on charger since 2 hours,i will try leaving it overnight
and it had 80 percent charge before dying
Have you tried booting to recovery. Here is a link to the steps involved. From there you can wipe cache or a system restore. http://forums.androidcentral.com/mo...moto-x-into-recovery-so-i-can-wipe-cache.html
now it is just displaying a green led light, i had it on charge the whole night
and it also doesnt boot into recovery
The green LED indicates that the phone is charging, but does not have sufficient power to turn on. Do you have another charger and cable you could try?

Bummer. Sounds like it's indeed a hardware problem.
I was charging my phone and i was on youtube at the same time watching some videos, all of a sudden my screen flashes in the right corner and my phone just instantly shuts off. I was at about 20% when it happened. It wont turn on no matter how long i hold the power button and i cant go into the recovery mode, my pc wont recognize it when i plug it in either. Is there any way i can fix it?
Edit: Ok so i just tried holding down the volume up button while plugging in my charger and a green led light blinked for a second , what does that mean?
Green led means the battery is all the way dead.

When plugged in charger, a short green blink flashes and that's it. Doesn't turn on, doesn't react anyhow. Tried the trick with holding Volume - key and Power Up for 120 seconds and it just blinks again and nothing more. Left for 12 hours, doesn't charge at all. Tried different cables and chargers, and laptops and computers. Nothing makes it turn on.
If connected to the compuer, it is detected as USB device ( after drivers install ) also it is detected as а QHSUSB_BULK but drivers not found. RSD Lite doesn't detect the phone as anything.
Is there any other trick to turn this thing on?

I also have this problem at times, I solved using a quick charge 2.0 charger
try to
Push the power button
And then send the phone in bootloader mode
This is a temporary fix, you have to change the battery
sorry for my bad English

Insert the cable into your phone,
Press the power button (until the battery charge screen appears)
Then go to bootloader mode
If the charging battery screen does not appear, wait 5 minutes
The green LED indicates that the battery is almost completely discharged

I guess, a 5V/2A charger is not a fast charge option, right? Cause it's not turning on my phone. And the LED blinks only for 1 second when plugged in..
I will try finding another charger

Same issue. It was just the red LED blinking while charging or trying it to turn on. Nothing happened! Have you recovered yours?
