Can't flash back to stock software...Need some help please. - Asus Transformer TF701

Guys I need your help please..I root the tablet and flash Cromix ROM but the speaker went to crap..lots of crackling and distorted noise. So I went into recovery and flashed jb-4.3_ota-full_tf701t-macallan.zip to go back to stock. It did but its unstable and the speaker is still horrible..So I tried going to Asus Web site and DL the UL-K00C-WW-10.26.1.18-user.zip and put it in my Sd card and rebooted the device chosing RCK and it gives me an error..also did a wipe data on the option by the RCK...I cannot get it back to factory stock..what did I do wrong?
About in the settings
Build number
JSS15J.US_epad-10.26.1.18-20131217
020115_2013102100002
Then in Recovery is the Macalla-user BL released by "Us_epad-10.26.1.7-20131108"
I don't want to send it back to Asus, they are gonna charge me to fix this problem..Thanks

anyone please have any idea?

At least on tf201 (ordered my tf701 today) flashing stock rom downloaded straight from asus is a big no no on unlocked bootloader. You wiped data in rck? Do you mean in recovery or in the menu where are rck, fastboot and wipe data (just making sure)
How about in what state is your tablet now?

You can try this:
Download the stock recovery from here: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=3210
Copy the image to your fastboot folder.
Download the Asus firmware, unzip the file once and copy it to your internal SD.
Boot tablet into fastboot
Issue this command
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
Note: Do not flash the recovery, just boot it.
It should recognize the firmware file on your tablet and flash it.
BTW, I doubt the rom has anything to do with your speaker problem, but it would be interesting to find out. Please report back.

When I tried to flash the recovery image.

YOU DO NOT FLASH THE RECOVERY IMAGE!
Boot it. Read the post and command.
You basically sideload the recovery. Instead of flashing it to your device, you boot it from your PC. But it should still function as if installed.
If you get an error, write it down. Exactly as it reports it.

It's in the Rom zip, assuming your not s-off it must be flashed separately
You can check if your s-off by going to hboot, toward the top it will say s-off or s-on...which basically means security off/on - its another level of security HTC added on above the bootloader
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
It says s-on
so what do i do from here?
Put your boot.img into the folder which your fastboot and adb are and then open a terminal to the folder. Then put your phone into fastboot by entering the bootloader. Then type fastboot devices to see if your device is connected to the computer. If it comes up with your serial number continue if not try again. Then type fastboot flash boot.img and then go to recovery and reflash the rom.

Download either TWRP or WCX recovery. As long as your phone can get to the bootloader, you can get into Fastboot and flash the recovery again. Make sure the recovery is in the same folder where you have the adb.exe and fastboot.exe. Open up a command prompt, then change directory to where your fastboot and adb are. Type in fastboot flash recovery "recovery".img where "recovery" would be the name of the recovery file you download. This will flash pretty quickly. Once you get to that point, you probably are S-On so you need to make sure to extract the boot.img from the ROM you downloaded. Use either winrar or 7zip to extract the boot.img to the same location where you have the fastboot.exe and adb.exe. Then go to the command prompt again and change directories to the same folder where you have fastboot and adb. Type in fastboot flash boot boot.img. I usually would run this 3 times to make sure it loads properly. Once that is done reboot the phone again.
Sorry I used it on the HTC evolution 4g and it worked so I figured it would work for vivid

[Q] Bricked after OTA Update?

Hello folks!
I was running a "google play edition" rom on my phone (rooted/ superuser). Today it said there was an ota update for kit-kat available. I let it go through with the install. For some reason the install failed (I think it was a 'status 7').The phone wouldn't boot (instead of a loading boot animation just blue screen) Then when I went to try to reflash my old rom (I was stupid and didn't have a backup), I got a status 7 error again, and I've gotten one for every rom I've tried to flash (HTC One nexus edition and another one, can't remember the name).
Anyway, I can push and pull files via adb but nothing will install. I've tried sideloading too but that failed also.
I have CWM 6.0.2.8.
Any help would be lovely.

Do you have the recovery in the same folder that fastboot is in?
Is the phone in fastboot USB mode while connected to the computer?
Try renaming it to "recovery" without the quotation marks. Then just use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" without the quotations.

You have lost your recovery for some reason. Just reflash the latest TWRP from here
Shut off your device. http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7wls/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.1.0-m7wls.img
Copy the file to your ADB folder on you PC. Plug the USB in.
Press and hold volume down and then press power. Keep holding volume down until a menu shows on your screen.
Use the volume rocker to select fastboot and press power to select fastboot.
Plug the device into your computer.
If you have the right drivers installed your phone screen will now say: FASTBOOT USB
Using a command prompt, type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Your device will reboot. Use the volume rocker to select recovery and press power. You will now boot TWRP.

How can I know that if you don't? Maybe you didn't backup at all or you just deleted it? You can sideload a ROM if you don't have one on your sd card.
And next time search and read before sending pm's, like everyone else has done. And at least use that thanks button, it's the minimum sign of appreciation towards smb who is helping you

Should I again flash the badboyz rom?
I remember while I recovered twrp recovery I did some kind of format/wipe. I guess because of that I lost my simunlock and possibly deleted something which is making it to do so.

NO, follow BigDaddys advice and RUU back to stock. Then work your way back to other ROM choices, most likely after flashing a new and appropriate recovery.

Yes first try reflashing the ROM after full wipe. You shouldn't loose your SIM unlock no matter what you do so smth is messed maybe with your partitions
If it doesn't work you should run the ruu. It'll brink you to stock and would have to unlock bootloader, root, custom recovery, etc.

I guess I've loosed it as I bought the phone from ebay and it came unlocked for sure but when I restored the backup I saw no signal bars on my phone,
Anyways, I'm again downloading a fresh copy of the rom and will re-install it. I dont want to do RUU and and they again everything from scratch as that would be toooo time consuming.
Hope reflashing works. I'll keep this thread updated.
Tho, While restoring I found a error that .android_secure.img is not found.
I guess that is something I messed?
UPDATE:
I did a full wipe and re-installed the Bad Boyz Rom.
Now, I'm getting to the unlock screen.
When I scroll the lock screen the phone is taking me to HTC screen and then rebooting and I'm unable to do anything...
The phone is still restarting like before.

Try another ROM, maybe it's a bad download. Also try clearing sd card first(do a backup on your pc first) and don't forget to full wipe. I'd use the ruu as last resort

First off.. Odin is used for Samsung Firmware only..Do not use on a HTC One or any other make of phone..
Have you got the drivers for HTC..if not, get them from here..http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/
If you can access the bootloader and fastboot.. Post a fastboot getvar all minus your serial no and imei no.

Read te FAQ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228274
first rename the twrp recovery to recovery
then enter the bootloader
connect to pc and open up a CMD window where your adb and fastboot commands are," shift and left mouse to open up CMD "
type fastboot devices. if a random serial no is returned your ok
put your recovery into the adb/fastboot folder and
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
once done
fastboot erase cache
reboot into bootloader and choose recovery
To restore the Nandroid backup follow these instructions at the top of the page http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-nandroid-downloads/
Good luck

Hi,
thanks for that
all appears to be going through ok
so this part was simple to do and looks ok
type fastboot devices. if a random serial no is returned your ok
put your recovery into the adb/fastboot folder and
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
once done
fastboot erase cache
reboot into bootloader and choose recovery
but nothing has changed
when i select recovery on the phone, it still goes back to the bootloader
ive attached a screenshot of the DOS Commands to make sure im following what your saying

Read te FAQ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228274
first rename the twrp recovery to recovery
then enter the bootloader
connect to pc and open up a CMD window where your adb and fastboot commands are," shift and left mouse to open up CMD "
type fastboot devices. if a random serial no is returned your ok
put your recovery into the adb/fastboot folder and
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
once done
fastboot erase cache
reboot into bootloader and choose recovery
To restore the Nandroid backup follow these instructions at the top of the page http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-nandroid-downloads/
Good luck

I am having the similar problem , I can get into recovery ,and flash roms/kernel/ and restore from nand backups
but the phone is always rebooting right after the lock screen.( it stays on the main screen for 5 secs or less) . I tried the RUU from htc1guru, fastboot to clear the cache. it boots to the point where the ATT logo appears. after it reboots the phone again...
any suggestions ??

UNLOCKED bootloader
If you still have the OTA file you can extract from it the firmware.zip file and flash it after RELOCKING your bootloader.
You will get your OS back for starters and then you can proceed again with custom firmware flashing and Rom flashing.

Hi there, sorry couldnt help last night, but i just read the thread in more detail which recovery are you trying to flash? Link please
The filesize doesn't look right to me!! (Post #8, sending 8866KB)
Please check MD5 on the download, to confirm it's not a corrupt download. If you're downloading from TWRP site, it doesn't play nice with download managers/some browsers, and you end up with a bad download.
Also, please use copy/paste for the command prompt outputs, reading screenshots is much harder. thanks

yep looks like a bad download, get TWRP:
2.6.3.3: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
or 2.6.3.4: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
download: http://winmd5.com/ open the zip and run the exe then check the output of MD5 is against the one on the download site. once it verifies correctly:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter recovery

Nexus 6 stuck on bootup

My nexus 6 is soft bricked I'm assuming, I can't get past the 6.0.1 boot up screen it just keeps on booting . The device is unlocked with TWRP recovery but not rooted as far as I know it's not rooted. The only way I can check MTP is through twrp but it's showing an exclmation point in device mgr. I'm in wugs toolkit now under Advanced Utilities, before I got the boot logo it had the you're device is corrupt. I fixed the corrupt message by putting my device in boot loader mode and in Advanced Utilities under fastboot flash then I clicked Boot [Kernel] I flashed the stock kernel and that got rid of the corrupt device warning screen. I'm gonna try flashing a modified boot img next but I'm having trouble. I just need someone to stick with me for awhile and help me fix this thing because I gotta return it and I don't have long.

If TWRP is installed there's no problem. Just a matter of the pc let recognize the device. Quit the toolkits though!
Do you have google drivers installed? Once they are installed your device should be recognized and you can copy any of the fine roms that can be found here.

Ok I have what says is the latest Google usb drivers which was Aug 2015 downloaded. On my device I'm using I'm gonna transfers the drivers to my pc now, and attempt to install them. I hope this works and fixes my device. I sat in front of my pc yesterday for 7 hrs trying to fix this stupid phone.

the corrupt device message is only there because you have twrp and a stock kernel. flash a custom kernel.
It's fixed, everything is running as it should no boot loops or corrupt screen, now I gotta check to see if recovery is gone. I used wugs to flash stock 6.0.1

I used to have the corrupt message also, but it would go away and boot just fine. Started when I had TWRP. As someone mentioned, if this is a really annoyance, just flash a custom kernel . Though mine went away when I rooted with SuperSU (which patches the kernel I think)

I used wugs toolkit to flash back to complete stock it worked my device is running as normal, but when I power of the device and power it back on the corrupt message then disappears and boots right up. When I boot into boot loader mode and boot recovery it shows the green android robot laying down. After I flashed back to stock 6.0.1 it got rid of twrp and root but I'm still unlocked . The unlocked part I'm not worried about. In order to fix this do I have to 're root and flash twrp all over again or is there an easier way. I need step by step, on how to get rid of the corrupt message. Example, like when someone says flash img to me that's about as clear as mud.....

flash twrp then when you root, flash a custom kernel as well, that will get rid of the message.

I'm trying to get my brain working, lol my device is stock unrooted without twrp but the corrupt message still shows up I gotta get this fixxed. It's hard for me to understand what all I need to do. All I need is the corrupt message to go away and I'll be good. At start up it shows the corrupt message, but a few seconds later it goes away and it boots up normally.

i believe that your bootloader is unlocked, thats why its showing up on a non rooted n6. you can lock your bootloader(i wouldnt, you can have problems later) or you can flash twrp recovery, then a custom kernel, and you dont need to root it for that.

If I flash the kernel with twrp it's gotta be a zip? Is there anyway that you can link me to stock 6.0.1 kernel

a stock twrp flashable, then theres no zip version of it available. BUT twrp can also flash .img kernels as well. if you have the factory image available, you can unzip it and just flash the boot.img in twrp(or fastboot). but why the stock kernel?? if you just want stock, id recommend just fastboot flashing the boot.img from the factory image. boot.img is the kernel.

nope. the kernel is what connects the operating system(software) to the hardware and also serves as the devices main "brain"

just download the factory image, then grab the boot.img out of it. link to the 6.0.1 factory image https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/shamu-mmb29k-factory-9a76896b.tgz
