I want to flash stock firmware from SamMobile, but my country is not there on the list,
So which firmware should I choose? I don't want to mess up things like modem or IMEI..
Thanks

If you use Odin you won't lose your IMEI number but yes you'll change your modem... flashing a full package might change it, but I'm not sure. In full package roms "PHONE" file contains modem's data... I've never tried to flash a rom without this file...or simply changing this file but it could be a posibility :S:S:S
Where are you from? Maybe we could find a flashable CWM modem file

thanks,
so what exactly is this modem? I mean, isn't the S5830 an international phone? so why does it need to have so many different modem types..
can I somehow save my current modem and install it later after flashing stock firmware?

Modem file contains data related with wireless connectivity, radio, network communications...
Yes you can to backup your current modem data, creating a flashable zip via CWM
Here it is the script
BACK UP YOUR ROM'S MODEM
1. Flash this zip via CWM
2. When the script finish you'll get a flashable zip in /sdcard/Backup_Modem with your current modem files

Always you flash a stock rom via Odin, you'll need to boot into stock recovery and do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition to avoid the bootloop.
Then enjoy!

Hi again  I am facing a problem now with all of these stock firmwares, my original stock firmware had RTL fix , so that the phone can support right-to-left languages, but since SamMobile does not have the rom of my country, what can I do to fix the RTL problem? maybe there is another stock firmware on the SamMobile list that you can see , and might have RTL fix?
Thanks again !

You can try this, it should work in whatever GB rom
You'll need root and CWM to try it, do a backup first (CWM 5.0.2.6 Fixed) in case things get ugly

I would go to sammobile.com and download the stock rom for your region. Unpack the .zip file then flash the .tar file via odin

Sorry to say but it sounds like you have nand corruption. I have heard of people using a pit file to get around the problem, but I don't know much about repartitioning. You could try searching xda or googling pit files or nand write fail, but to my knowledge you may need a new motherboard. You could just take it to a service centre and see how much it will cost. Good luck

What odin you're use? Try with: Odin3_v3.09, with this: I9305XXUFNL1_I9305LUXFOB1_LUX
or
Download and install other recovery like: TWRP
and try to flash: This zips (attention: you lose all files from internal memory)
(try this method first time)
hmm.
Guys,
I need an urgent help. Here is my Story..
Using 9208 Note 5 model. After trying different custom roms i tried to flash stock firmware using Odin. Did everything correctly. Unfortunately i checked Nand Erase all option too. The result is my Note 5 stuck at Samsung DimDim logo. For almost 1 hour. Tried reflash several times but no luck..
So i flashed twrp and wipe data and factory reset and reboot. Its works. But problem with voLTE. No voLTE working. I know flashing JIO voLTE fix will solve this but i need a solution for this Odin. I dont want to flash voLTE fix.
Can someone help me pls.. How to bypass that Samsung logo without flashing Twrp.. ?

Well that's because you erased everything including your partitions so now you need to find the .PIT file for your exact model and select it in odin while flashing the firmware again.

You can only downgrade if you have firmware that's bootloader version 4 because you're currently on bootloader version 4 and you cannot go back down to bootloader version 3 or earlier because that's been blocked by Sammy.. If you need the PIT file it's inside of the firmware that you downloaded you just need to extract it from the file. If you have the firmware G935FXXS4ESC6 then unzip it and then unzip them again and you'll find the PIT file in there.. It's usually inside of the CSC .tar file.

You can do that yes and if that doesn't fix your problem then there must be something wrong with the phone itself. For your information though you're asking for help in the Galaxy Note 5 thread but you're on a Galaxy S7 Edge.. I do think a moderator might end up moving this to the correct place.

Ah ok I know you can extract the files individually by right clicking on them after installing 7zip.
Edit: I see the recovery file is in the AP file for Snapdragon.

Yes, it's the same for Snapdragon too. After you extract the recovery.img it needs to be converted to .tar file and then flashed with Odin. You might be able to flash the recovery.img with TWRP without converting it. Please confirm this with a fellow TWRP user because I was doing this a couple years ago so this is from memory.

Yes you can flash .img files with TWRP but I don't see a point in doing this. Flashing the stock recovery.img will replace TWRP. Sounds like the OP wants to stay with stock. But I'm not understanding the point in flashing just the stock recovery & what caused the need to do so, that's not something you hear of being done. Usually you just flash the entire AP in Odin but as said you can create a tar for the recovery image to flash in Odin.

Awesome, I was just wondering if you got this straitened out this morning. I'm glad it worked out good besides the OEM lock.
I find that I cant encrypt a TWRP wiped partition when I was on my Note 4. Using the stock recovery to wipe data after rooting the system partition, I can go in and reinstall the root app later w/ success, but first encrypt the phone. I will play around w/ stock recovery and learn how the note 8 may differ. Thanks for the info above.

You shouldn't have used any tool.
You could have easily recovered your unknown baseband by simply flashing your stock firmware.
Retry flashing the Stock firmware. But this time, do a wipe cache partition, wipe data/factory reset in recovery mode first.
Use the latest stock firmware that is available for your country/CSC.
If you can find a pit file, include that in odin flash with the stock firmware. Put a checkmark on the "repartition" option.
It's normal for the device to take 5-10 minutes or more during the initial boot.

i found this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ide-fix-n950f-efs-failed-to-mount-dm-t3831184
i beg you can you plz help understand it
Extract Stock firmware AP file (rename .md5 to .tar)
this i cant understand wich should i rename or what i do
Rename dqmdbg.img to efs.img (or smallest image must be smaller than 8000 KB). Extract Dqmdbg.img.lz4 so it’s just “Dqmdbg.img” and then rename it to efs.img and put that one in a tar. Other option is downloading a file that’s already made this way if your bootloader is binary 4, Saves you trouble of extracting / renaming: http://www.mediafire.com/file/589wuc...f/efs.tar/file (if you download this file just move onto number 3)
Add file new efs.img into tar archive.
Flash tar as AP file in odin + download mode
Reboot download mode
Flash Combination with odin + nand erase option on Edit: suggest you to flash stock rom first and oem unlock, don't need to wait for 7 days if imei is 0000 skip combination step
Device Should boot into Factory binary
Use IME to restore imei using *#06# (or imei 0000 in stock rom) Edit: This step is not required if efs backup is restored successful
Your device should have dm-verify failed in recovery due to drk error
Continue drk bypass for dm verify error below to continue

I found this website but it has efs files for binary 1 and 2 not 3. Will it still work if i use binary 2 efs?
