Hi,
I noticed nasty MIC bug, it only occur in call when phone touches face (touchscreen), when it happens sound stuttering starts (for another caller, I hear everything fine!). Is this firmware or hardware related?
When face is not touching screen, sound from mic is fine.. and funny thing - all recording software - no problem, only problem in-call !
Is there any known work-around this nasty bug?
I think that I found solution.

fluence_in_voice_call is probably mapped to build.prop variable persist.audio.fluence.voicecall
Set it to false and problem seems gone.

On the pre-Kexec ROMs such as Steeldroid, there has been a common problem of the sound going dead for phone calls until bluetooth or speaker is toggled on/off at which time normal sound function comes back.
Is anyone aware of any sort of progress on this bug?
Hey guys. The problem reveals while making a call. While on a call everything is fine to me but the person I am talking with hears himself in his phone's earphone like his voice is reverberating once wich is annoying. I tried switching several settings like noise reduction, extra volume or adapt sound, reducing incall sound but no difference. The only thing that makes it good is switching to speaker while on call and the reverberation disappears to the the person I am talking with. Any suggestions? sorry for my english
I have this problem also from time to time. Also my voice sounds muted sometimes to the receiver. This changes during the call.

there is a fix for this. You flash the call recorder and it starts working. Hope it helps

Since yesterday the caller mic of my HTC One is recording only random noise anymore (checked with the audio recording app and the HTC diagnosis app).
It is always full volume white noise, independent of the actual audio in the room. This is not just muffling or so.
I'm on ARHD 41.0 for a while now and I have S-ON. I have not changed anything low level (rom, etc) for weeks.
Secondary mic is fine. Headset is also fine.
Any ideas how this could happen and how to fix it?
Thanks!
Browsing the web a bit I found a solution proposed by somebody who had the same problem: Blowing air into the microphone hole fixes the problem.
I'm not sure how long it will work, but at least for now it is ok again.
For anyone having a semi-known issue with the mic in call (mic is muted if you switch to loudspeaker during a call, and stays that way till you hang up), try the latest audax kernel (1.3 if i am not mistaken).
Its the only one i found so far which solves the issue, apart from the stock/patched one.
I'm the only one experiencing annoing problems when listen audio message from whatsapp and telegram? The audio starts and some time switch from loudspeaker to internal speaker without put the phone ok the ear
Hello. It happens to me too, although with the last update 12.5.13 it improved a lot.
Yeah it's a pain innthe butt. My way to deal with it is: if I want to hear the message through the loudspeaker I put the phone flat or horizontal position. If I want to hear a message privately I put the phone vertical and against my ear. Otherwise the sensor goes crazy without knowing how or where to play the sound.

Happening to me as well. Had the same issue on my other phone (POCO F3). They never fixed..
