hey i had to do a factory restart on my kindle fire hd and blah blah. before google play was working, i installed it with KFfirst aid. ok so im on the step that i need to log into android market before upgradeing to google play, but i get a very annoying "cant establish a reliable connection to the server" ive done all the truble shooting like redoing it re rooting re booting reinstalling did another factory whipe all with no avail. i did it on my moms kindle and its working perfectly, i also did it on another kindle just today and it was working perfectly untill it came up with a hardware malfunction. so why is it not working on this one? i used same exact method for all of them.
PS i also tried reconnecting to the internet and making sure the time is correct

Hi,
Brand new to this site so no idea what I'm doing but I'll explain my problem, and I am a bit of a n00b when it comes to technical speak so bear with me!
Rooted my Kindle Fire HD 7" to get the Playstore and to disable the ads
Working well, but then I decided to get rid of automatic updates as whenever one came along, all my hard work was erased
Now I feel my Kindle is running slowly and I want to un-root all the work I did, and get it back to the way it was
I have performed a factory reset (probably a massive mistake!) and attempted to un-root it. But whenever I go on my Bin4ry program, and click to unroot, it says "Error: Device not found"
It comes up when I go into My Computer, and I have installed all necessary drivers, and enabled ADB...
I have tried to install the latest update for the Kindle Fire HD from the Amazon site as some people have said that worked, but I assume because I disabled automatic updates, it didn't work.
I am using Windows 7
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7"
So how can I unroot it? Please help me!

Use KFFA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096888 You can do about anything from that tool. Just don't try to install TWRP or 2nd bootloader from there.
Try this dude

Many Superuser apps include the 'unroot' function in their settings. If the one you installed doesn't have the setting, just install supersu or CWM's Superuser app from the market, boot it up, let it take over the su and then use that app to unroot. (Choose "Install", Do Not Choose "Recovery Install"! ;p)
The fact your Kindle Fire isn't recognized by your bin4ry tool is maybe because of your factory reset resetting the Debug over USB setting in your settings. Re-enabling that will probably make it visible again to Bin4ry, since Bin4ry uses ADB (Android Debugging Bridge).

I have a Kindle Fire HD rooted with Kinology. All Google apps have downloaded just fine, except for Google Search. I get a "Parse Error--There is a problem parsing the package" message. What I've tried to fix it so far: 1) downloaded 1Market and tried to load Google Search. 2) Cleared cache and data from both 1Market and Play Store, then shut down and restarted my KFHD. Tried to download & install from both stores. 3) Attempted to sideload Google Search from my Droid Razr Maxx via my PC. Nothing has worked. I've seen other threads for other tablets where one of these "fixes" did the trick. Not this time. Is it something about Kinology? And if it is about Kinology, is there something simple I can do? I rooted my 1st gen Kindle Fire myself (With KF Utility which made it a breeze), but bought this KFHD already rooted and don't know much about Kinology, so if there's an answer, I'd really appreciate step-by-step instructions.

usually when it says it cant parse it it's because its designed to work with a newer version of android than the device is running.
I have an Amazon Fire 7" 5th Gen. I just got it this week. It's running Fire OS 5.1.2. I've tried using the super tool to install the Google Play Store and it won't let me login to my account. I even completely rooted the Fire and still couldn't sign in. I did a hard reset and sideloaded the 5.1.2 firmware from scratch and followed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/installing-google-framework-playstore-t3216122 and still can't sign in. I've even sideloaded com.android.vending-5.9.12-80391200-minAPI9 and com.google.android.gms-7.0.97_(1791429-070)-7097070-minAPI9 manually and still can't sign in. I've checked both the host file (only has 127.0.0.1 localhost listed) and Iran the adb command giving com.google.android.gms permissions and still I can't login. I'm at a loss of things to try.
The tablet also keeps showing me the notification "An Application requires an update for Google, Requested by Google Play Services" and when I select that notification it takes me to the store and asks me to sign in which I can't do. Is there a newer version of one of the apps that I need to manually download and install?
Appears to be resolved
I appear to have resolved the issue.
I went to rootjunk's site and downloaded the ALL GAPPS package. I installed several of the GApps from that package including the PrebuiltGmsCore.apk. I then went through each Google app again and cleared the data and cache for each. Rebooted, and then I was finally able to add my google account and access the play store.
Not sure exactly why it was so screwy but at least it's working.

I've just managed to root a Kindle Fire 5th gen using Supertool however I'm having the same issue when trying to sign into the Play Store.
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff. Could you explain how you installed the GApps? I downloaded gapps-5.1-2015-05-23-24.zip from rootjunky but I'm not really sure where to go from there.
Would be a great help!
Thanks.

Scratch that. Managed to install it using Flashfire.
What do u mean using flash fire gaps there all 5.1 cm and below ? whaaat... Can ya step by step ? I've reinstalled this thing n trust so many APS n **** now the kindles had more use than a cardboard box near the soup kitchen. And still have exactly the same as the op
This worked for me. Amazon Fire 5th Gen 5.1.2 rolled back from 5.1.2.1.
Get root.
install flashfire.
download gapps-5.1-2015-05-23-24
flash zip using flashfire
delete data from google play services in manage apps from settings
reboot
login and its good.
note: it used to be the older login screen that was gray and blue and then after flashing it was the newer login screen from what looks like android 5.0?
Thankyou I'll give it a try now. I hope this works lol seems promising but ready to be declined again lol
Thankyou respect and credits you boss!!!

Hey tried this solution. I installed the gapps. Than rebooted the device. When I start Play Store it only gives me a white screen for 1 second. Any solutions?
EDIT: Worked! Thank you so much!

I'm having the same problem but on a kindle fire hd 6 4th generation tablet... how do I fix this??
i have read and read but cant seem to find it. i am trying to install google on my new fire tablet. i see that root is not needed and i have tried a few tools.
first tool was Amazon-Fire-5th-Gen-Install-Play-Store, says all installed but nothing.
then i tried AmazonFire5thGenSuperTool, get the following error [install_failed_Version_downgrade_]
i have manually gotten services framework, google accoount manager, and google store installed, but cant seem to find the correct google play services.
i have registered the device and it has children profiles on it, not sure if that matters. i am very new to the kindle. my first one
thanX in advance.
going to reset device as i just got it today.
ok so i got it to work. had to do a factory reset.
So my understanding is that once the device is registered, then the ads are reinstalled or the "special offers" are back on home screen.?
is this correct?

found this old kindle recently, Kindle Fire HD 7 2nd Gen, and i remember I had previously done some work with rooting and flashing but I'm not sure what I had done with it. I cant access the bootloader via buttons on startup so I may have broken something but it boots up and can browse the web and download apps from the amazon app store. I seem to have attemted to get the play store but either failed or it stopped working over time.
whats the best way to move forward with updating it? can I just flash a new rom?
