It is possible. But who likes to port it? Too much time which gets wasted!

JB for HTC Desire C, I need some help

Hey guys I did everything and I can't port this rom to our device, can anyone try porting this rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2056634
Impossible, all our dev's are trying too make a MIUI, CM9 or Ubuntu ROM.
Atm u can flash the Revolution ROM or the Nameless ROM.

The closest you can do is just run the .img through terminal emu
Why is everyone so concerned with jb and ubuntu, did we forget this device has a 600MHz processer and half a gig of ram?
Wouldn't everyone prefer a functional device than a pretty paper weight?

I think you're underestimating it.
I'm interested if we can make an ubuntu touch lite or something later.

New port to our phone

Hi guys ! I'm thinking about a new port to our phone.. I think I can try something as now I'm a little more introduced in Android , but I don't have the phone ( mine is bricked, some of us already know the story..). So, my ideas ar Ubuntu Phone OS and Firefox OS , from my point Ubuntu is more beautiful but is very hard to find and more harder to build even.. Firefox OS looks great and it's easy to compile, but I don't know how good will work it on our device as our device is not enough good to run it properly good. So, what do you think guys?
I'd like to have both of them but if i have to chose it's ubuntu
It's great but is in beta stage.. and about Firefox OS, I like very much the way you can design apps, it's like HTML but a little differences in framework

I think it's more stable than Ubuntu because it has more apps done already than Ubuntu wich has done only 8-9 apps for system.
Anyways I'm not that good so I guess that I'll just wait for a developer to port one of this oses xD

I think about porting it from another device, not building from source as I don't have a stable linux machine right now.. but let's wait to finish the pool
Firefox os will be great

And how do you think you will port it without having an actual device? We don't even have fully working AOSP-based Android ROM and you're dreaming of something else...

The dream may come true one day untill this summer the official JB will be out and I will have another Mini2, so everything will be ok.
if someone wants to port something.. it's a good news.. and all we have to do is be happy for it.. at least someone is making an effort..
thanks man.. you have my support.
So Ubuntu just won the pool ! We'll try our best to make it..but we will need time, anyway, starting now !

no not yet..but once i finish a stable cm10 for your device i will port it.
I think ubuntu phone would be a better idea! For that i start try port ubuntu rom to desire c! ... i am a new developer in android so i am not the best but i will do my best
yep, an ubuntu lite sounds like a good idea!
but the desire c would not be powerful enough to run either ubuntu or Firefox

even if we get it to work, it would still lag a lot. we also need a working cyanogenmod Rom in the first place.

Yes. Ubuntu will be a little heavy , but Firefox os would probably run as smooth as cm9.
firefox is for low end devices..even the older sibling of golfu pico runs it without problems...and ubuntu os is a fork of cm10.1 if we get that running then we can get ubuntu os too,.
Ubuntu might have a lot of eye candy, but maybe a stripped down light version could work well? Don't know, just guessing.

I think firefox os is completely different than android base, against ubuntu is based on cm10 so firefox will can be more complicated to port ... If you need advice or assistance to port firefox I can try to help you but for now I'm focusing on cm10 for have functional ubuntu rom, and on my rom: P

[Q] Will CM10.2 be ported on the Galaxy Mini?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if someone is going to port cm10.2 on our beloved galaxy mini.
Don't hope too much, don't happy too much.
Porting Android 4.3 to Mini is a challenge. So it'll take A LOONG time to complete or reach first beta.

Pfft... The performance won't be as good as Jellybean 4.1 or 4.2, still syncing.... -.- 50 KB/s
Performance will be like CM10.1 after flash, as I doubt that Mini supports OpenGL 3.
