How to enable app close animation in sense 6? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I am looking for help with my issue. I like almost everything in sense 6 but i hate no close app animation. It's look very ugly.
I look through framework-res.apk in anim folder and revised wallpaper_close_enter.xml, wallpaper_close_exit.xml, wallpaper_enter.xml, wallpaper_exit.xml and animation start work in both close and open app but only in non sense launchers.
I try play with Prism.apk and edited fade_in.xml, fade_out.xml, mf_window_enter.xml, mf_window_exit.xml and also same xml in com.htc.resources.apk but nothing help.
Anybody know which xml need edit to having close app animation.

The Sense 6 Toolbox has that function. You might ask the dev if you don't want to just install it.

Animations as on standard 2.1

Could anyone create a flashable zip-file so I'll get the screen transition animations as on the nexus one for example. I am using Villainrom 5.2. I tried myself, but was unsuccessful.
Have you tried using the Spare Parts app? That has all kinds of transition and other effect options

Only does speeding up or slowing down animations, nothing more.
are you talking about the zoom out style one?search android transitions on Google, you'll have to extract framework-res.apk if I remember right!

I put the right anims in the extracted framework-res.apk, but I don't know how to compile it to apk again, and then I also don't know how to make the whole package a flashable zip. Could anyone help with that?
Can't you just use a program like 7zip to insert the resouces into the apk file and then push it via ADB?
Get the rom.zip put the framework-res file In Its place, resign and flash.I dont think you can just push the file thru adb as it will cause force closes
Thanks for all your help.
I need to extract my roms framework-res.apk and then put in new anims. How do I then make it an .apk again? And how do i sign the zip file?
Thanks.
You of course need android sdk, also java jdk search xda for resign update.zip.sorry I can't link you but am on my phone.ill be home in an hour if you want to upload the files ill do it for you
I've tried looking up how to resign update.zip's and apk's , but it says something about the autosigner won't work on windows 7 ( which is what I have ) . If it's not too much to ask, I would greatly appreciate, if you could make a flashable zip update containing the boot animations from standard 2.1 (fade in and out), that would work for villain 5.2.
Thanks for all your help .
here you go!
I prefer these animations to the slide one.Boot time takes a while 5 mins or so but it will boot! be patient i think its because it has to reconfigure framework.
Flash through custom recovery

Great... Thanks! I have opened a similar thread before - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645210&page=2 but nobody could help...
I tried myself but it couldn't do it. Will be good if someone makes a tutorial or an app! Because as far as I understand this has to be done for every single rom.
EDIT:
Tested and just works great on Villain 5.2! So nice... It's a must...
Now if we just could get the epic rotation animations from Cupcake 1.6...

Where is a Rom's default wallpaper stored?

I want to extract the stock wallpaper that came with a certain rom. Where in the rom would I be able to find it?
These are possible places to look:
-Framework-res.apk(extract the apk)-->/drawables folders
-Launcher.apk(extract apk)
-Rosie.apk(sense rom)
-(Theme name)Lightshow.apk,nature.apk,etc(MtSlide rom)
im new to the whole rom thing but i was under the impression my phone was going to look exactly like the pictures i saw of the rom ha. guess not.

framework-res.apk
res-->drawable-->default_wallpaper.jpg
Its in framework-res.apk you can extract the apk using 7zip.
pull the framework-res.apk from /system/framework off of the phone.
Once its extracted look in res/drawable-hdpi the name of the file is default_wallpaper.jpg
This rom works great, however when I try to change the Homescreen wallpaper and select a wallpaper from astro file manager, I get FC every time. If I use the built in wallpapers, it works.

WHAT ROM? Maybe you should post in the thread of the ROM you're using, just in case that's part of the issue.
Instead of resurrecting a dead thread. No offense, but come on.

There is a semi easy way:
-Grab your ORIGINAL framework apks that you'll be editing from \system\app
-Use 7zip to extra the apk to a folder and name it something like "TO-BE-MODDED"
-Grab the .apk from a themed version you liked and do the same steps as above but make the directory something like "FROM-MOD"
Within the FROM-MOD folder you'll have a lot of images and XML files... **DO NOT COPY XML FILES**
Transfer all the images to your TO-BE-MODDED folder and overwrite it. You can then .zip up the contents of that folder and change the extension to .apk and overwrite your \system\app .apk by using Root Explorer or adb push
**ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS YOU FACE THE POSSIBILITY OF FC'S IF YOU JACKED SOMETHING UP**
There's also a tool called APK Manager that will use adb pull if you know the apk you need or you can drop the apk in a working folder. It will then extract contents, allow XML to be edited, zip it back up, and even zipalign it
P.S The reason you copy XML files is because they can change colors, links, and behaviour of the ROM and will normally be the culprit for FC's if you overwrite or edit something improperly.

I'd really like to try cognition 4, but I like the Gingermix theme, which is for i9000 roms...
I ported the [THEME] Generation X v1.14 - port [Cognition/FireFly/JL1] boot animation for Cog. that whiteguypl ported into Cognition 3.0 into Cognition 4.1. I didn't add the settings from this theme as I have my own settings but it would be easy to do.

thank you, i know how to load fonts on the phone however i prefer to use whatever is built in. hence why i was asking if there were other fonts available on his theme.
While I have not looked into this version of the theme, there may still be the Sansation font from the original build by D3StRoY & R64.

there tend to be to drawable-hdpi folders in our themes that use 5 lock mod...icons *should* go in drawable-hdpi-4
i wanted to add it to SC2.9.1. going to try the instructions that were given
so basically when you want to add something you can just copy/paste it into the proper area of the theme and it should work?

yes and no....different phones use different names for images...you would have to open up the folder and compare (even amongst the sgs variants with status bar icons data/signal)
for system apks theres no need to sign anything...for market/data apps you would have to sign the apk for the changes to take
and then theres xml.....but thats another story

[Q] Need to locate these files? Help please

Hi i would like some help which would be nice from any Theme Creator or Dev because they will probably know where to look.
So can anyone tell me which files need to be changed to make the volume & brightness bars in quicksettings pulldown bar to change the bar color? i have changed the color via framework, system ui or htc res, rosie, settings files but.... not sure which files i changed in what location that did that?
Also which file do i need to locate to change the button pressed on the home screen? Cause i wanna get rid of the green sense look to my phone, my phone is looking pretty modded & i know how to use Photoshop to change PNGs & know how to mod APKs too.
Any help would be great i have tried the search bar on here & also in google but didnt get any results & to be honest i know people on XDA will know this.... thanks in advance
The progress bar color in quick settings is defined by this file: common_progress_full.9.png (in SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi)
Are you using a Gingerbread 2.3.5 or Sense 3.5 rom? If yes, the button press color in the homescreens can't be changed. At the moment all available tools fail with decoding the images.
In Sense 2.1, you have to edit Rosie.apk. For Sense 3 (+ GB 2.3.3 or .4), fusion.apk has to be edited with m10 tool.
I can give you more details if you want to.
Thanks
Thanks for that but i cant locate it in my system ui/res/drawable-hdpi? i tried looking in htc/rs/draw-hdpi too? cant find that common_progress_full.9.png? could you check again for me or if have time upload the file? i cant see why it would be missing though?
I havent had a chance to mess with the m10 editor? is it easy enough to use when editing the fusion.apk?
I love XDA.... its the best for phone modding & has many helpful members

You have to load the Rosie.apk with m10 editor, then decompile the Rosie_navbar.m10 file and change the following opacity values from 1 to 0.0099999998. If you set them to 0, pressing on the buttons will have no effect.
