Best way to save battery on Canvas Turbo A250 - Micromax Canvas Turbo A250

Playstore link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webzler.soslauncher
Description
This is a homescreen replacement that has an Ultra Power Saving Mode for your phone to help you extend battery life when you are running out of charge. This launcher allows up-to 4 apps on the home-screen.
What this app does:
1. Kills all running apps and services.
2. Disables WiFi, Data.
3. Shows Missed Calls and Missed Messages.
Ultra Power Saving Mode:
4. OLED Mode for AMOLED devices.
5. Changes governor to Powersave mode. (requires ROOT Access)
6. Disables 2 cores of a Quad core phone. (requires ROOT Access)
7. Reboot during exit. (requires ROOT Access)
When your phone goes below 15% battery, the app shows alert to clear the defaults for your current launcher. After clearing, set SOS Launcher as the default homescreen, and the app would take care of the battery. Once you quit the app, it would clear itself as the default launcher and you can start using your favorite launcher back.

Working :good:

A better way available
I think if you have root access
Using greenify app from play store is much more nice
Half to one hour increase in battery backup is observed after using that app
Please press thanks if I helped you. Your appreciation is much needed.

Directions for Best Android Experience :)

Ok, so we all want the best of the best of experiences for our DX superphone. Well, I am here to tell you how I have my setup.
The goals of the ultimate setup are to:
1. Keep as much privacy as possible
2. Ensure the best performance
3. Ensure best method to extend battery life
4. Ensure best feel
5. Ensure HAPPINESS!
NUMBER ONE:
First things first; we need to install the absolute best ROM right now. The ROM is called FISSION 1.1 by Team DeFuse. You will most likely have to re-root the phone after installing though. It is worth the hassle.
Known issues with Fission 1.1 but I'm sure will be fixed:
1. Compass Calibration
2. No custom battery profiles
NUMBER TWO:
We need to install all of our applications.
NUMBER THREE:
If you don't have them already, download the paid version of Titanium Backup and the application called AUTOSTARTS and very very importantly, DROID WALL, SetCPU, CacheMate and also very importantly, Advanced Task Killer
NUMBER FOUR:
Restart phone. Upon reboot, we will first open up Droid Wall and give it root privileges. Then, we are going to fill in both boxes with checkmarks next to only the applications which you use a lot and need internet access! It is good practice to look at what all apps need access to when installing applications. If an app like Notepad for instance needs Internet Access, we know there is a problem. It is apps like these, we don't want to have access to the internet.
You will also have to have checkmarks next to "Media Server", "Browser", "Calender", "Calender Storage", "Email", "Google Search", "Maps", "Market", "Messaging", "Street View", and "Visual VM". Those are the ones which need to be allowed in order to not cripple your Android experience. Obviously, the remaining apps are UP TO YOU.
You should manually disable and re-enable the firewall after every reboot! You then want to kill Droid Wall and the other showing apps with Advanced Task Killer. Once Droid Wall sets the firewall rules, they stick regardless if the app is running or not. There is no need to leave it running.
NUMBER FIVE:
Now, we are going to open up the program AUTOSTARTS! It will take awhile to load all of the apps of your system. This app makes it so you can actually reliably use ADVANCED TASK KILLER without the apps you kill AUTOMATICALLY restarting and thus wasting precious battery.
You want to disable all your 3rd-party user apps in EVERY CATEGORY except for the Widget Categories at the bottom. For the first app you disable from starting, you will have to give AUTOSTARTS root privileges.
Don't disable "Google Voice", "Visual VM", "Dialer", "usb", "Dialer Storage", "Battery Manager", "Battery Manager (Power Profile Receiver)", "Google Partner Setup", "Google Services Framework", "Voice Dialer" (If you use it), "Email" (If you use it), "Messaging", "Bluetooth Share" (If you use Bluetooth), "Contacts Storage", "Droid Wall", "SetCPU", "ADW Launcher" (If use it), "Launcher Prof" (If use it) or "Launcher" (If use the stock launcher)
Everything else should be clicked on and disabled except for apps which are your widgets on your homescreens and in the Widget Categories!
You are going to notice a crazy increase in speed from this!!!!
NUMBER SIX:
We need to reboot. Upon reboot, open up ADVANCED TASK KILLER. We now need to put some apps on the ignore list.
The apps I have on my ignore list are:
SetCPU, Messaging, Music, Google Search, Market, Visual VM, Beautiful Widgets, Voice Search, K-9 Mail and Google Voice
You would also want to put any apps which are related to any widgets you have on your homescreens on the ignore list too!
This will effectively make it so any app we close, IS CLOSED FOR GOOD until we ourselves initiate it MANUALLY.
NUMBER SEVEN:
My phone is a dud; well at least the CPU is. It won't go over 1100mhz and be stable regardless of how much voltage I crank into 'er. So, for my phone, I modified the 1.1Ghz .zip folder which is installed in the Fission folder of your SDCard when you install Fission. I modified the setscaling.sh in text editor and changed the following values:
Changed the 800mhz to 900mhz. You may or may not have to raise the voltages that they have pre-set for the 800mhz and 1100mhz settings. If you are not stable, just give each of them a couple notches of increase.
NUMBER EIGHT:
Upon reboot, we need to setup SetCPU. We are going to create 3 profiles
1. Screen off --> 300min / 600max --> OnDemand
2. Charging AC/FULL --> 300min / 600max --> OnDemand
3. Charging USB/FULL --> 300min/ 600max --> OnDemand
We then go back to the homescreen "of SetCPU" and change our values of what we want the phone to do whenever the screen is on and it is not charging. Here we want to put 900mhz for the min and 1100mhz for the max.
For some reason, even if SetCPU is not disabled in AUTOSTARTS, it doesn't load the values upon reboot. You will have to manually open up SetCPU just one time for each reboot.
IMPORTANT: If you want to OC higher or maybe not even at all, have at it. However, I still think SetCPU and the profiles I listed above would be great for you.
NUMBER NINE:
This may not be an option for some of you, but I like to disable remembering form data, cookies, cache, passwords, and history on my browsers.
The best browser to use "IMHO" is the new XSCOPES version 6.
If you like some other browser, just change the privacy settings to those of above to be safe. If you can't live without, then just don't worry about it.
NUMBER TEN:
Install CacheMate for Root Users.
In the settings we want to have checked:
1. Clear TA Utility Caches
2. Close CacheMate on Close
3. Clear Admob and Google
4. Clear Flash Cache
5. Clear Temporary Cache
Then, we want to have everything checked in Data Experimental and SDCard which is Relevant to our phone. For any app you don't have, don't put a check next to it. If you use apps like APMobile (Associated Press), you want to uncheck that and apps like it so you don't have to set it up every time you open the app.
I don't really like letting CacheMate run all the time being set to automatically clear on intervals. I didn't mention it, but I NEVER leave ADVANCED TASK KILLER run all the time either.
Uncheck power clear on the main screen and clear the cache ever day or two.
NUMBER ELEVEN:
Install ADW Launcher. It is by far better than LauncherPro. Only continue to use LauncherPro if you can't live without its widgets.
In ADW Launcher, we want certain settings done.
1. In Screen Preferences, we want to have both Desktop Scrolling Speed and Desktop Overshoot set to "0"
2. In Drawer Settings, we want animated drawer check, show app labels checked, fade app labels checked and for background color, I like to use a dark color with some transparency!
For Zoom Effect speed, set it to its lowest setting of 300ms
3. Under System Preferences, we want to check Wallpaper Hack and set Scrolling Cache to "Auto". Obviously, if you have widgets, you will want to check scrollable widget support.
4. In UI Settings, I check everything besides:
Dockbar, Closing folder, Secondary ActionButtons and Show Desktop Indicator.
I have AB Scale Factor set to "5".
After you get your homescreens all set up EXACTLY how you want them, backup both the desktop configuration and backup ADW settings. Also, make sure to do another backup in Titanium so when you restore ADW Launcher after installing a new ROM, it is exactly how you had it before.
NUMBER TWELVE:
Open up the program which is already installed called Spare Parts. It will be in your App Drawer. Don't install it again from the market unless you for some reason don't already have it in your app drawer.
1. I have haptic feedback and compatibility mode checked.
2. Set the "Window Animations" and "Transition Animations" to FAST
NUMBER THIRTEEN:
Do a Titanium Backup via Batch operation.
1. There are only 2 options in the batch operation options which you should ever need to use!!! They are:
A) RUN - Backup all new apps & newer versions
B) RUN - Restore Missing Apps with data
Run the backup every once in awhile to keep the backup of your apps up to date.
IMPORTANT:
When restoring apps, UNCHECK ALL SYSTEM APPS FROM BEING RESTORED!
The paid version gives you HyperShell which means you don't have to manually click each app when it is restoring. It makes the process very simple.
You also want to uninstall the older version of Flash Player and get the newer one from the market.
I have followed this guide for Titanium and have installed numerous ROMS for the Droid 1, HTC Droid Incredible and now the Droid X WITHOUT EVER HAVING ISSUES!!!
NUMBER FOURTEEN:
Go into ROM Manager and install the AOSP Keyboard under /Download ROM/Drod2169/CHANGE OPTIONS-Focused-1.0/AOSP KEYBOARD
You will automatically have to check FIXED 8MP AOSP Camera as well. That is the camera installed by default on Fission 1.1 so it won't hurt anything. Don't check backup data or wipe data/cache!
Also, I would install both QuickOffice and DX_Music.zip under the SDCard/Fission/Add-Ons directory. You obviously have to do this in Recovery!!!
The Music player will be 100% identical to the one that comes installed by default on Fission 1.1, but it gives you the option to pause play and seek tracks from the lockscreen!
NUMBER FIFTEEN:
Install any themes or mods which are compatible with your ROM and set up your sounds and everything else you like to do and enjoy your android device to its fullest
I know I probably missed a couple things but will update when I remember.
VIVA LA ANDROID
EDIT: I had Fission 1.0 for some reason. I meant Fission 1.1. I'd also like to point out that Rubix 1.0 is the same exact thing as Fission but with more optimizations and tweaks. I ran them both but slightly prefer Fission 1.1

How dare you recommend Advanced Task Killer. You need to have your Android License revoke immediately.
Since we're talking about rooted phones and memory management, use Autokiller. It does what android already does natively, only better.
Nice write up, but do yourself a favor and get rid of ATK!

Please don't get caught up on the ATK thing. I don't want this thread turning into a pro or con ATK. One will however say that ATK without AUTOSTARTS is pointless. Due to AUTOSTARTS, ATK is once again relevant and really beneficial.
If the app AUTOSTARTS or anything like it wasn't available, I wouldn't tell anyone to install ATK. With my setup, any app we kill with ATK will not be automatically restarting thus wasted battery. That was the biggest issue with ATK before AUTOSTARTS was available. Now, anything we kill are only apps we ourselves initiated.
Apps left running do still use CPU resources. The latest privacy study of Androids apps show that 50% or so of the tested apps sent private information to advertisers in the background.
When the Android system only has like ~40mb of free system RAM available, the system will no matter what bog down somewhat. We can get rid of this from ever happening.
Just put the little green ATK widget on your main homescreen and one tap and your done. The ATK widget takes the same amount of space as an icon. It is simple and easy.
Doing it like this ensure at no point EVER is the Android system going to lag.

A few weeks ago. Excellent device too. I'm confident that the locked BL will be defeated. I'm running through some of luv2increase's mods now... I like the idea of being able to defeat autostart and place strict control over the apps I allow to run.

Yes it is an excellent device just today I posted on Twitter I have all the high end Android phones and the Motorola implementation of the Droid X is by far the best nice polish too. I been playing a lot with SetCpu profiles (removing bloatware via adb) and power saving settings and can get over 18 hours of heavy usage. Just starting to try these other ROMs out. As always if you need a tester or I can help you with something let me know I have been on Android a while now and have a lot of experience and a ton of apps.
A lot of you guys have no idea the asset that Sleuth is having a Droid X.

Alot of great tips in the OP. I actually run with almost this exact setup. I am using Rubix 1.0, though. Great rom. These tips will help tremendously with performance and battery life. Thanks for passing this along.

- In CPUTuner I use an Uniform configuration with 2 Triggers (battery 100% and battery 50%). I have 6 Profiles with different CPU clock speeds, governors, I/O, ... settings. If you want details about those I can add them at request.

And I did flashed and rooted, but didn't Restore to Factory, also i did upgrade SuperSU and istalled the CWM and then Deleted Dalvik and Paritition cache files
What i wanted to ask, is that after all this should i make a factory reset? if not should i UnInstall only the LG programs and then freeze all the other apps?
Am asking this because it seems alot for me having 70-80% on the Android System usage for the battery
Edit: IDK, for example i consume alot of Battery just for using facebook and the music player, but it's not fair that in my ipod i don't use more than 5% and on the 4x i used 20%
or consuming(airplanemode) even if im not uisng it
Hopefully one day our Mods on here will just take all these threads and roll them into one.
STOP OPENING THREADS ABOUT BATTERY USE!!!
We know there are some problems with it. Solutions have been posted that may help some people. We don't need every person who owns an LG 4X opening s thread to complain about the battery :banghead:

Sorry, but i can't resolve it on my own, and i can't figure it out why i have this problem while other people already fixed it.
Edit: I did a fabric restore and then downloaded GSAM Battery Monitor and it shoed that Android System is using 99% of my battery
In the Easy Battery Saver it says that the Adroid System uses 80% of my charge... And i don't have any apps installed
And in my Battery Settings the Android System is always on 66%-75%, Should i install a custom ROM?

As you can see, its not an app but several, its normal that they are in the top of usage list.
That depends also how you use your phone.
Some of them can be frozen, search in other threads and you'll find a list or screen shots of my frozen apps (if you're interested of course...)

70% because once your not using other apps, is logic that those that you use are in the top.
Some of them run in background, thats the reason to freeze them.

here is my preferred set of apps for the rooted phone
1. Avast Security: Firewall to block certain apps from accessing the internet! And general protection.
2. NoBloat Free: Used in removing the above mentioned apps. Helps to safely backup the apk file and delete it so that we can restore them back later if the need arises.
3. ROM Toolbox Lite: Could be used for many a purpose. But at present I use it to block the ads and prevent autorun services.
4. GSam Battery Monitor: Monitoring battery stats.
5. DS Battery Saver: - My phone never went into deep sleep. With this app it forced the CPU to enter deep sleep whenever screen goes off.
6. LagFix Free: Just like defragmentation in Windows system. Increases read speed of SD card
7. Clean Master: Great task killer, cache cleaner and history wiper. I use it to kill apps on screen off.
8. One Power Guard: Underclock my CPU to certain range. AI mode automatically switches profile. Helps in quicker charging of the battery and also in safe cleaning battery draining background apps.

If you really want to disable all that i think you are gonna miss some things.. !
Don't uninstall com.lge.internal or your widgets break and everything goes retarded.
uninstalling one or more of these has severe negative side effects. freezing does nothing negative to your comp, but uninstalling totaly borked my phone, wouldn't even boot up.

Use "Root Firewall" instead, anti-virus apps prove very little need on android, so why use a very resource hogging anti-virus app to manage your firewall.
2. NoBloat Free: Used in removing the above mentioned apps. Helps to safely backup the apk file and delete it so that we can restore them back later if the need arises.
Use "Root Uninstaller instead. In my opinion better looks and more options in one app
3. ROM Toolbox Lite: Could be used for many a purpose. But at present I use it to block the ads and prevent autorun services.

If you just wan't to monitor wakelocks, you can use "Wakelock Detector" instead too.

Thanks for the list. Here's a tiny glitch I've noticed while deleting these apps (yes, I deleted them). My phone (LG Optimus L4 II E440) worked perfectly, booted with no problems whatsoever, all of the functions were normal except that my home button led was constantly on. I've tried re-flashing it and then removed the apps, but unfortunately with the same consequences. When I restored "LGSystemServer" the glitch somehow disappeared: I have no idea whether it was somehow related to the removal of the abovementioned app, just thought it would be interesting to mention. My wife has just bought this phone and was just wondering what can be done to it to maximise the battery life without sacrificing too much?
Currently I'm thinking of installing an app called Power Toggles that allows toggling of things like Bluetooth, NFC, Wifi, etc.
I understand it's got a battery saver built in but unsure if it disables sync or not. Sync is required for emails, syncing Chrome stuff, etc.
I get 2 days with 4-6 hours screen on and do not use any kind of this crappy "battery safe" tools! Only NFC is off. And I sync with 4 email accounts every 5 minutes between 8am and 10pm.
What other apps do you have installed?
Its currently at complete factory settings with no apps installed. I'll just tweak around on it and see how it goes.
I have disabled the most crapware, like unused Google Apps, Linked In, Twitter, Dropbox, Face**** and so on ...
Yeah the HTC Sense Twitter, FB, etc I've managed to disable. For some reason, I'm unable to disable Blinkfeed!
Turned battery saving mode on (not the extreme saver) as it still allows sync whilst turning things off when the phones not in use as well as underclocking the CPU.
How do I disable Google Play Games?
I couldn't find it listed.
Also what other HTC Sense related stuff can be disabled?
For me Blinkfeed replaced the GenieWidget, but I use Nova as Launcher (see Screenshot). And here is my list of disabled apps.
I just can't disable Blink Feed.
Why you would like disable Blinkfeed? Use any other launcher and all is fine.
Because it's horrible and if the feeds can easily be accessed by opening the relevant apps. Just won't let me completely disable it. I don't want to replace it with another one, I don't want any at all.
Could I install a Google launcher without rooting it?

Yeah the built in 'Power Saver [1]' and 'Extreme Power Saver [2]' apps kill background sync/WiFi/data when the screen is off [1] and when the app is activated [2].
I use [1] as standard and it's really good for battery life, usually lasting me 2-3 days with minimal use or 1 day with heavy use. The sync is only killed when the screen is off so you receive notifications all at once when you check your phone so you're in control. As part of this, you can set [2] to activate at a particular % of remaining battery to further conserve power.
I'm also using Nova Launcher Prime as its much smoother and cleaner than BlinkFeed and probably uses less resources.

[Guide] Battery Saving Tips (Updated: 32h15m Life!)

UPDATE: Check post #2 for the updated information!
Hey guys, first off I know many are going to say "Another battery thread.." but I wanted to share what I have been doing to my Galaxy S5 and see what you guys are doing.
Device:
-Samsung Galaxy S5 (AT&T)
-Rooted (towelroot)
-Running The Extreme Debloated ROM below
-Stock battery
ROM: Being that we don't have any custom roms yet, less is more. You of course could use titanium backup or the like to freeze many of the apps, uninstall many of the bloat apps yourself or you could install the Extreme Debloated ROM from the link below.
[NCE}{SafeStrap]DeOdexed/Extreme Debloat/Stock/Android L Features/Under 400mb!
Screen: We all know the more dim the screen the better the battery life, I don't use auto brightness but some do.
Greenify: If you aren't using this yet, you should! Rooted or not, this app works!
Auto-Sync: If you can function without this, turn it off. All apps, change to sync less frequently.
CPU: If you are only using your device for simple tasks, underclock it. I have mine running at 300 MHz-1.498 GHz interactive cfq. Of course you can set the Governor to be on demand etc for when you need it. I use No-frills CPU Control
Llama: There are many apps that you can use but Llama is free and is easy to get going, check it out here. Below is what I have my events set to, of course there is a bit more to it (advanced settings, aka delays etc). I have the Llama events that I use attached below, just install Llama and then place the text file in the Llama folder (stored on the local sd, internal). Go to events and press the menu button, then import and select it.
Explanation Of Events For Llama:
1-When screen turns off, but is not in a call and music is not playing. Delay for 1 minute and then disable mobile data, disable wifi, run the shortcut (from greenify) "Hibernate Now", disable account sync. The delay can be customized, but I like it at 1 minute. I have read from Intelli3G that turning the signals on and off can effect battery life, so previously I had it with no delay. This is fine if you don't turn your phone on and off too often.
2-When screen turns on, enable mobile data, enable wifi, enable account sync (but don't update). This is straight forward, turn it all back on. You can select the account sync to update if you want.
3-Wifi off if not connected when screen turns on. Delay for 40 seconds and then disable wifi if not connected. Since event #2 turns on the wifi by default, this will turn it off if it is not connected to a network.
4-Mobile data off if on wifi. When the phone connects to wifi, delay for 45 seconds and then disable mobile data. You will still get texts/calls etc, but not use data of the network.
5-Mobile data on when wifi off. Just as event #4 but the reverse, since we turned off mobile data while the wifi was on we need to turn it on. No delay, because we want it back right away.
6-Phone powered on. When the phone turns on, delay for 30 seconds and then run the greenify hibernate now shortcut. You can increase the delay if you have any processes starting up on boot.
AFWall+: Any firewall app will do just fine, but if you want to specify the IPv6 support (4G) then this one works great! Just realize it is default to selecting apps allowed to use the network (aka white list), which for me is just the browser/messaging/swiftkey. I have a toggle widget set on my screen that I turn on/off depending if I need anything special (use the market/youtube etc). This keeps them from using the network, thus saving your battery.
Autostart Processes: You can use many apps to change this, but I used SD Maid. Turn off anything you don't need running in the background (facebook etc).
Ads: Might not save much, but blocking ads will help on your data usage at least. I like Adaway. I also like to patch the apps from using ads (paranoid much?), I would think that covering two bases is better than one. Use Luckpatcher for this.
Apps: Back on my first smart phone (Palm Pre), we didn't have specific apps at first for normal things like facebook so we used the browser for the majority of our needs. You can use instagram/facebook/email etc all via the browser, thus reducing app usage in the background (data use, push notifications etc). I have tried fast for facebook and many small email clients, but you are sacrificing lots. The mobile pages work close to the app, better than a clone app. If you are like me I like the style and functionality of facebook/gmail/instagram, but I have not found any apps that pull this off very well outside of the official ones. Being you can block the apps via firewall and force stop them with greenify it does help, but apps like facebook/gmail they keep checking for updates and keep running causing wakelocks. Some apps like AquaMail seem to do the trick for me.
Xposed Framework: I LOVE the functionality that it provides, as it reminds me of the modding that we had back on WebOS but with these frameworks running in the background it causes some battery lose.
Closing Notes: There are many other options and possibilities depending on how you use your phone, and of course your mileage may vary. These are from my own testing and readings, some things may not even help or be very effective but this is why I am posting this. Let us share what works best for our device! Being I don't run XPosed I can't use Intelli3G, but since I am cutting off data where I can it helps. I would be interested in putting my phone in 2G/3G/4GLTE with a button click, might be possible with Llama but I haven't tried.

Update #1:
-Coming soon!
Test #1:
Using the above information in post #1 I was able to get 32 Hours 15 Min (1 d 8 h 14 m 54 s) with 6 Hours Screen On Time! Check screen shots below for the proof, and comment below to the awesomeness! I will be doing a new test with the updates coming to the OP!
Test Subject:
-Check the attached BetterBatteryStats log for complete info!
-Samsung Galaxy S5 (AT&T)
-Rooted (towelroot)
-Running The Extreme Debloated ROM below
-Stock battery
-ROM: [NCE}{SafeStrap]DeOdexed/Extreme Debloat/Stock/Android L Features/Under 400mb!
can you post up some screen shots of your battery life / stats?
I'm on stock, rooted, bloat is frozen. I'm using grernify for games and other apps I don't use regularly or don't rely on for push notifications. I use adaway for ad blocking.
with just those steps taken, and using the phone as a smartphone, I can easily get 20+ hours off charger and a screen use of 5 hours.
I understand what you're trying to do here but what is the point of diminishing returns?
I have gotten around the 18 hour mark, but out of the box I was only getting around 12. I will try getting an accurate screenshot and try out a few other settings. Our batteries may vary slightly I'm sure, and at some point I bet there are diminishing returns like with underclocking. I will test it out and report back
Thanks for the input @Russ77

Can't put this thing down. Battery is great, I'm always on it and get almost 7 hours screen time before I throw it on the charger. For me I keep the screen on the lower setting with auto turned off and screen set to dynamic for that deep, bold color.

+1
I'm at 4 hours 17 minutes screen use and have 42% battery remaining. I'll easily surpass 7 hours of screen use and probably 20 hours total battery.
when idle on mobile signal my phone consumes about 1%/hr. if I wasn't playing couch potato today (its 107 outside) and was doing stuff I'd use around 6 hours of screen time and could go 30 hours total battery time.
this is all with no battery saving measures taken other than greenifying all banking and game apps.

Yes, to play devil's advocate here:
The apps and tweaks are going to make some difference, but it's more about how you use your phone, rather than doing a bunch of tweaks and modifications, which many of us have done at some point or another (the same tweaks but maybe with different apps and Roms).
I've seen posts around here talking about getting 3 and 4 days average, and sometimes 5 days of battery, and I always say that's because you all don't use your phone that much.
It's all about how you use your phone. I only get up to 48 hours with moderate use; that's terrible battery life by the standards around here; and with heavy use, with my brightness cranked up because I like my colors pretty and bright, and with consistently playing games all day, I'm only getting about 4 and a half hours screen on time. That battery life might be 7 hours or 2 full days, depending on how much else I'm doing with the phone.
I love how I posted this thread to help others but instead it is just getting people to post about the opposite.. I just got 54+ hours out of the OEM battery, but I am sure nothing I did helped.. Insert sarcasm here.

Oh, I don't doubt the 54 hours battery life. Like I said, the apps and tweaks are going to make some difference. But it all depends on how you use your phone. I'm not going to get 54 hours battery, even if I use your phone because of what I do. I'm playing games, or streaming radio, or watching movies or Youtube, and that's not all day, and with my screen bright.
Just me personally, I don't like to worry too much about how much battery life I'm getting. When I start doing that, then I find myself going out my way and doing things different (such as frequently checking the battery stats and stretching the phone's downtime) like I would not normally do, trying to see how much battery that I can actually get, instead of just enjoying the phone as I would normally use it.
When I had my old HTC Evo a few years back, I was doing everything that you're doing, and then some (as you can find several of these threads for every phone), trying to get every little ounce of juice that I could out that miserable battery. Same type apps and Roms, just different names. I had apps that turned off Wifi, data, bluetooth, and even crashed the phone once in a while. I actually got used to turning my screen brightness all the way down so that I could barely see anything. And it was great having a Rom so de-bloated, that I got a chance to find out what was missing when I got lost driving and needed directions. Yeah, it made a difference in the battery all right.

Hey guys quick question I'm an avid user of power saving mode (not UPSM) but I feel it could do better so I've been working on my own profile in tasker to better extend my battery. My question is what's the CPU underclocked to in power saving mode
