I am uploading (3H remaining) to Mega the VMo UK_IE version :good:
PS. Could you release the Fix for Settings lag+Deodexed for 311/312?
EDIT. Here you go
https://mega.co.nz/#!F9Fi3SRT!QiEzU1RooEeV6pZ9DwHdX7fMhu-vlkBqFCJBe_wV0R8

I've tried to flash and followed the instructions to the letter.
I got an error (code 7) while flashing "SGP311_4.4.flashable.zip" in recovery.
Despite the error, I continued the installation process and could get the system working fine, except I have no root access.

I have the same problem

As i was reading on xda,that error code 7 mostly is related on version Flashtool or recovery.
It must me exactly as p.1 and 2 in OP.

Same error for me flashing SGP312 with the latest TabZ-lockeddualrecovery2.7.123-BETA.flashable.zip from NuT.
Fails on set_perm for me
Hangs now at sony name on boot...

Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.16 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.124 BETA or newer.
Current rooted FW version: 17.1.A.0.55 or 17.1.A.0.69.
Special features:
SuperSU integrated in system, FULL ROOT!
XZDualRecovery 2.7.124 BETA (CWM & PhilZ Touch & TWRP) pre-installed;
init.d support (read how to enable)
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders!
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
If you are unable to download torrent files directly, have http://zbigz.com/ do it for you!
How to update to 17.1.1.A.0.402:
Files (Find the files on the DevDB Downloads tab!):
For D6502: Download D6502_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip (931MB) and D6502_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf (23MB)
For D6503: Download D6503_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip (912MB) and D6503_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf (22MB)
Save them somewhere you remember;
Put 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
Flash 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip' in TWRP;
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
The first boot will be slow and after some time at the boot animation you will see Android start optimizing the apps on your phone.
Enjoy! :laugh:
Known XZDualRecovery Issues:
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.
How to report errors:
Please, before shouting out "It doesn't work!!1!" or "I lost root!" or even "My phone reboots when remounting /system RW!!" try the following:
Restore a .55 or .69 FTF using any means you are familiar with so you can try again.
Root it using any means you are familiar with.
Install XZDualRecovery;
Then try to update again using TWRP.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /sdcard1/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me or attach them to your bug report.
Thank you

If I'm reading this correctly,
The default on first boot with the boot-to-recovery flag set by any recovery is PhilZ Touch Recovery.
In your XZDualRecovery folder in either /cache or /storage/sdcard1 you will find a file called XZDR.prop. Set dr.default.recovery=cwm to dr.default.recovery=twrp to change the default recovery to TWRP. The button choice however takes precedence, so you can always overrule the default!
You can also change back to 'Vanilla CWM' if you wish by changing dr.vanilla.cwm=false to dr.vanilla.cwm=true in the XZDR.prop file.
Init.d support is disabled by default, set dr.enable.initd to true to enable it.
Insecure ramdisk support is disabled by default, set dr.insecure.ramdisk to true to enable it, set to 'power' to boot it by pressing the power button at boot.

@[NUT]
OK mate...
Awesome work
Ahh, yes. @[NUT] app is actually in the app drawer, and it's called NDR Utils. The icon is a cute red little devil! The app will let you choose which primary (default?) recovery to use. Also, has a bunch of power menu options.
Now… slightly off topic; will we be seeing a similar XZDR and ROM for the Z2 tablets (particularly the 16GB WiFi/SGP511)?
Again, thanks for the good work, @[NUT]!
Super!!
Fantastic!! Downloading files to downgrade first and then will test this!! Excited and will report back in 3-4 days due to slow bandwidth speeds!
It works! Woohoo!
I'm happy to report that I went through the entire process (downgrade to .55, rooted via Community RootKit, installed dualrecovery, then flashed [NUT]'s files) and I'm on 402 with locked bootloader and everything's working well so far! :good::laugh::highfive:

OTA update for GPE 5.1 LMY47O.H9 to H10 -- TWRP

Not sure why the original GPE 5.1 thread got closed, but anyway I've created a TWRP flashable update for the LMY47O.H9 to LMY47O.H10 OTA that recently became available. It only works for clean H9 installs that are NOT rooted.

UPD1 Sorry, it was Philz recovery. Now I got TWRP and getting the same issue with app_process32
UPD2. It seems I have to unxpose and unroot first - but my M8 keeps rooting itself, cannot get into unrooted mode.

Thanks for the update, but it didn't work and causes an error like the post before this.
Unexpected error .... etc.
I got the same errors trying to sideload the original OTA zip through stock recovery, so it must be something in the zip itself.
Maybe a security measure to prevent installing on modded phones.
Would it be possible to post the entire H10 ROM .zip? I usually have problems updating just the OTA file. graffixnyc usually posted it but for some reason that thread got closed.
Thanks!
The issue with app_process32 seems to be related to rooted phones where /system/bin/app_process32 is a symlink to daemonsu. The question is how to unroot the phone. My one recovers rooted state itself...

Yeah sorry forgot to account for the app_process32 being modified when rooting.
I've modified the file (now v2) to support rooted LMY47O.H9 (download here: http://mostlyirrelevant.info/2015/10/07/download-update-ota-lmy47o-h9-to-h10-zip/)
Any other patch errors (i.e. not app_process32) are because you're not running a clean H9 install and there's nothing I can do about that.
EDIT: Also in case anyone missed it, there is a full H10 update zip posted here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=39228, if this OTA patch doesn't work for you.
If you received the OTA notification for H10
Well, I have tried it twice (from H6 I believe to H9 and now from H9 to H10) and it worked and I did not loose any data files! I got the OTA notification and followed the following protocol (I am rooted and running TWRP):
1. Revert any app that had root access (i.e. Adblock... just revert and disable). If you have XPOSED framework you have to revert everything to stock!
2. Withing the SuperUser app (SU), fully "un-root" the phone.
3. Restart (probably not necessary)
4. Install H9 Recovery (I downloaded it from graffixnyc: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589) Do not forget to at least thank him!
5. Erase cache (Fastboot erase cache) just in case and Restart.
6. Install OTA :good:
7. Done! Now you have to install again TWRP via fastboot (erase cache once again, just in case...) for root access and re-install whatever you had before with root access. :laugh:
Long process but saves me a lot of headaches with data and any other errors may occur...
I uninstalled xposed. I installed v2. And... now I have kind of brick. The coloured dots moving endlessly. ((( Cleared the cache, of course.

Well the initial boot after clearing the cache takes a really long time of course.... But if it really and truly doesn't boot after several minutes just install the full H10 from that other thread.
Seems I have no choice but to sideload (thanks to TWRP) the full OTA H10..

I updated succesfully!!
Follow those steps:
1st. Download the ROM : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=39228
2nd. Copy the ".zip" to SDcard (Make sure to Backup all needed Apps and data.)
3rd. Wipe "Cache" and "Dalvik" !
4th. Install the ROM via Recovery, I used TWRP. In my case there is nothing wiped like internal SD, Data partition, BUT (Make sure to Backup all needed Apps and data.)
5th. Reboot to System
6th. If you are using Xposed you have to install the latest version (xposed-v75-sdk22-x86.zip) from this Tread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Now enjoy!
cheers,
m_atze
But beware, all you do to your phone and it will be bricked etc. I am not responsible for. So use at your own risk!

After multiple issues I just installed the H9 RUU unrooted from @graffxnyc, then installed the ota which popped up as soon as it rebooted.
For now I'm leaving it unrooted etc until marshmallow drops later this month.
Don't know whats the update for tho. But anyways installed. Maybe to prepare our system for Marshmallow update? Like what cyanogen did?
i'm not sure what's going on, but the update is a POS. Like sure it's a stagefright fix, but they've broken more than fixed it. Im having massive lag issues, the text windows are stuttering at times, unlocking the phone freezes it for a while and there are times where the notification sounds don't even sound off.
Sorry guys. I've had no problems at all.
This Version is woking like charm.
H10 update recovery
Could someone provide the recovery image from the H10 update?!

[EOL][G870A][MM][6.0.1] All Firmware Updates (latest QD1) (Updated 20/04/2018)[EOL]

Here you can find the update files for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (G870A) from AT&T
General Remarks (Important):
This does NOT work for S5 Actives from Verizon.
These updates WILL REMOVE ALL your data. Make a backup with Smart Switch first.
You MUST have stock unrooted AT&T software installed for the updates to work
If your baseband and and bootloader version don't match, there is something wrong and you need to flash stock firmware (look at the bottom of this post)
Verify MD5 Sums (google it) after download and upload to your SD card to avoid transfer corruption
How to install the updates:
Determine which version you are on (go to Settings->About Device->Baseband Version or download Samsung phone info and check the firmware tab for the baseband/bootloader version).
Check the path you need to take to update to the latest version described in the image below
Download all the files you need from the folder below
Place all the zip files you wish to install on an SD card and put the card into the phone (no need to rename the files)
Shut off the phone (choose "Power Off" from the menu or just pull the battery)
Boot into the recovery (Hold Volume-Up+Power+Home, once the blue text appears release the buttons)
Choose the "Install update from SD card"
Select the file that is closest to your version with the volume rocker and confirm with the power button
Let the update finish until you see the AT&T setup screen
Pull the battery
Repeat the process until you have installed all updates
Finish setting up the phone
(Restore backup)
Example:
Please note:
There is now a stock image with PH3 firmware (6.0.1). This means you can skip directly to Marshmallow and then only need to apply the remaining six updates to get to the latest one.
PH3 -> PK2, PK2 -> PK3/4/5/7, PK7 -> QD1
Your phone is on firmware "OF3". Then you will download these files:
OF3 -> PB1, PB1 -> PH2, PH2 -> PH3, PH3 -> PK2, PK2 -> PK3, PK3 -> PK4, PK4 -> PK5, PK5 -> PK7, PK7 -> QD1
Some updates can skip over versions. This will be outlined in the image. The AT&T device page lists which previous versions are required/allowed for an update.

Added: Stock PH3 firmware
Now you can skip a bunch of updates by just flashing 6.0.1 PH3 directly and then applying from there.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Thread EOL:
It is quite obvious that AT&T/Samsung have stopped developing updates for this phone. It's been nearly a year since they released QD1.
I will probably not maintain this thread for much longer since I do not actively use a G870A myself anymore.
While the androidfilehost storage lasts, feel free to grab all files you need from there but please understand I will not reupload anywhere else. I don't have copies of the files other than what is stored on AFH.
ANNOUNCEMENT

No you don't. Just select the right file from the menu in the recovery. Put all the zips that you need to install onto the card and install them one by one.

im using galaxy note 1 shv e160k (my second 's phone) can you tell me what is the best rom of this device (link plz) thanks first
Look at the first post. AT&T provides these files under the same weburl. Once you know the version numbers you can derive the name of the file and then use a download manager to grab them. this involved work from a bunch of people in other threads on this forum. Not taking credit for the method I'm simply bundling the files and try to keep the latest ones available.
Can't help you with your other device. I don't have any experience with that and won't be able to give you any advice on which ROM to choose.
Thank you so much
I have updated my s5 active yesterday and there have no bugs (of course thats samsung's stock rom) and the 6.0.1 permission is really annoying =) but I fixed it with google
I hope to see from atnt and u the newest version of this phone soon

Did you properly turn off the phone by pulling the battery each time?
Then did you confirm the md5 sum to be correct on your machine and on the phone with the one on androidfilehost?
What exactly is "failing"? Which message does the log of the process show?
Which update(s) are you trying to install?

Old process:
If your are in Android Nougat B328/B329, you need DOWNGRADE to Android MM for install this B329, for Downgrade see this post (sorry is in spanish use translator): http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1261335

Flash the two files downloader (first the update.zip before WITHOUT REBOOT, the second file)

YOU HAPPY WITH NOUGAT!!!
HowTo by; @algnerd
If you have a L31 variant, here what you need to do:
Put Update.Zip and update_data_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip on you external sd card;
1. Reboot into Meticulus' TWRP (use google don’t ask for it here);
2. Flash the update.zip;
3. Flash the update_data_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip;
4. Flash Revolution Recovery for nougat (use google don’t ask for it);
5. Reboot the device;
6. Reboot into recovery;
7. Do a backup of Product;
8. Reboot into system and place the extracted files from Product_V3 in TWRP specific folder;
9. Reboot into recovery and restore Product;
10. Reboot and enjoy your camera.
If you want to root Nougat follow these steps:
1. Boot in Revolution Recovery
2. Flash RevolutionKernel_ROOT_Nougat_P9Lite_13-12-16.zip;
3. Reboot and install Phh's root app from the playstore;
If you want to downgrade to MM from booting Nougat:
You need to do this first:
1. Download “volver de Nougat a MM” from HTCMANIA;
2. Extract the files and copy 432oEMINFO-DUALSIM-P9LITE.ZIP to the root of your external SD card;
3. Download B150 (as it worked perfectly for me) extract it and put update.app in your dload folder (preferably on you external SD card. If you don’t have the folder create it);
4. Set the default storage to be the External SD card (search for it in settings);
5. Enable Use Debugging and OEM unlocking;
6. BACK UP ALL YOU IMPORTANT DATA AS YOU’LL LOSE EVERYTHING DURING THE PROCESS
Now that you’ve done the above:
1. Unlock your bootloader if it’s not already unlocked (google is your friend );
2. Flash, via fastboot, Revolution Recovery (google is a like the mom, it will find anything for you even if it is under your nose);
3. Reboot into Recovery;
4. Tape Install, set storage to be SD Card;
5. Look for the 432oEMINFO-DUALSIM-P9LITE.ZIP and flash it;
6. Power off your phone;
7. Press simultaneously vol +, vol – and Power, now it should be installing the new firmware (B150);
8. Once done, reboot and you should have a factory reset phone, configure it as you’re well aware of that;
9. Restore your files.

Ext4 will show DM-verity error
1.Install Titanium backup

3. boot to fast boot and flash twrp28
4. Boot to recovery and install supersu2.79sr1
5.reboot and enjoy
