Did you mean to say that "none of them are working" instead of "all of them are working"?
Are you by some chance using iThing headsets? Apple does weird (proprietary and non-standard) things to their headsets. Any headsets which claim to be compatible with Android phones have always worked fine for my (Samsung ATIV S instead of HTC 8S, but they worked on my old HCT HD7 as well).

hello all,
is there any way to make htc desire headphone with the remote controls work with our SGS? I like the online controls!!!
thank you in advance
edit: OR EVEN WITH MY OLD NOKIA 5800 WIRED CONTROLS? THEY WERE PRETTY PRACTICAL FOR CALLS/VOLUME/MEDIA CONTROLS
You have got to be kidding me...
There was a topic about it with identical name a week ago, and several better topics before that...
HTC use the same odd format as Apple i think, so the HTC headset probably won't work. My Samsung Jét and Nokia N95-8G headsets doesn't work on my HTC Tattoo, and the Tattoo headset doesn't work on the Nokia nor Samsung, however the Nokia and Samsung headsets can be used on either phone.
Hello everybody!
I bought myself an Incredible S yesterday. Though to my surprise I'm having issues with the bluetooth quality with my stereo handsfree; Sony Ericsson MW600. Whenever I'm at the higher sound levels, every sound is accompanied with a clinging static which is VERY annoying. Now, I have used these stereo hansfrees with numerous other phones; Xperia X10, iPhone 4, Xperia Arc and.... HTC Legend. It worked flawlessly with all of those phones (yes, I've had quite a few phones the last 12 months). And since it worked so great with HTC Legend, one might wonder why it works worse on a phone released almost 12 months later (huge time difference).
I'm going to visit my shop that I bought the unit from. They have a demo unit of the incS. So I hope really badly my phone is DOA.
I had the problem in android 2.2 and now also in 2.3.
Now please, if anyone of you have the MW600 or if you wish to comment, then please do so! I appreciate all the help I can get in this issue. For your information HTC customer support didn't lift a finger to help me. This is all Incredible!
I'm using MW600 aswell and haven't experienced any issues with the sound quality.
It worked fine with Froyo and it is working fine with Gingerbread.
The only issue I have is that the SRS enhancement or presets don't work with the Bluetooth headset.

Very interesting. I just visited my local shop and I tested my MW600 with another incredible S, DHD and Desire S. All of them had the issue. Nevertheless it was again perfect audio when I used the 3.5mm jack. The sound through the MW600 should be identical to the 3.5mm. But it was way of. You should also test your phone. Try listening to music with about 2/3 of sound level and then through the 3.5mm jack. There's a significant difference. Nevertheless I ditche my incS and chose an Xperia Arc. There's no issues with that unit.

All phones with HTC Sense have a poor bluetooth stack implementation. HTC doesn't use the default Android Bluez. They use an old broadcom bluetooth stack.
I'm hoping at least one of these recent Incredible S roms can implement the Bluez bluetooth stack.

Now that explains alot! But it wasn't like this with Legend, and I see people who complain about Desire which was released about the same time. Maybe you should exploit that somehow?
How it yet goes, I will keep my way out of HTC's path with Bluetooth until they fix it.
I have several BT headphones and three Logitech BT receivers connected to active loud speakers. With my previous phones (Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung SII, HTC Desire HD) I could bridge distances up to 10 meters including in other rooms without problems
Whereas with my new HTC One in a distance more than 1 meter I get outages and with more than 3 meters the bluetooth connection is dropped at all. Maybe this has to do with the unibody in general or is just my phone not working as expected?
Do you have similar experiences?

I have the same problem. It's a bit disappointing. We can only hope it's a software issue.

It has definitly to do with WiFi switched on. If it is off, everything works fine as expected.
Sometimes (I haven't understood the logic), you can switch WiFi on again after connecting to your bluetooth device and it works perfect.
Turned WiFi off. Works like a charm now.

I have call HTC customer servicea and they say this will be fix in next update.
I have an HTC One on Sprint. When I connect via bluetooth audio (which Acura calls "Hands Free Link") to my 2009 Acura TSX, I get constant short pops/cracks in the audio. This has not been the case (or I have simply not noticed it) with phone calls.
My HTC EVO 4G LTE worked quite well when playing music over bluetooth in the car. Same with an iPhone 4 (it actually had the best quality of all three).
My One also works well with other bluetooth devices. It only has trouble with the Acura.
Is my phone defective? Ideally, I'd like to test another HTC One in my car to help determine this. I know 4.2 has a new bluetooth stack, so that gives me some hope, too.
Same thing here with a JBL flip BT speaker.

Static Acura
My galaxy S3 does this with my 2013 tsx... Kinda pisses me off..Let me know if you find a fix
When I got my new MDX 2013 Model 2 weeks ago, the agent did state that not all phones will work completely perfect with their hands free system, only certain certified phones for Acura... Maybe this might be the problem, i don't konw.
So I noticed this maybe a month or 2 ago, but wasn't too sure what was up with it (thought it was some setting I messed with), but when I would plug my phone into my car radio and play music, it would come out a lot quieter than my friends. My friend has used both an iPhone 5S and a Galaxy S5 and both output perfectly fine like mine use to, but mine for some reason doesn't. Any ideas why this might be? (could it have been because it updated to 4.4?)
It's because of audio drivers. Your phone works fine.
