I don't think they would so fast. If gmkv would like to test for us though, it would be much appreciated. Also perhaps an extract of the radio?

What kind of customizations did you have installed before taking the OTA? Were you S-Off with Revolutionary? Did you have a custom recovery installed? We need more info since this OTA just came out today...

So you have the Revolutionary HBOOT 6.13 installed, correct? That is what is preventing the OTA from installing correctly. You need to reinstall CLockworkMod recovery and restore your backup or install a rooted Rom.
Hi!
I have the same problem, az Hiaken_Ace has, after I updated my phone, I get stucked on the green HTC logo screen.

My phone is S-ON, it is non-rooted, it run Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.5. I have tried factory reset with SD card, and without is. Any ideas, how could I revive my phone?
OTA kills
I have also the same problem, after I updated my phone, I get stucked on the green HTC logo screen.
There are even more Guys in the android-hilfe.de forum reporting this.
Can someone try tacoroot?

Seriously guys, who told you to install this ota? Unless you receive it on your phone, don't install it.
We need more info from the guys who semi-bricked their phones (stucked on the green HTC logo)
Do you have an unlocked bootloader, do you have HTC drivers and adb / fastboot installed on PC, are you still covered by warranty, did you see any errors when the ota was installing, do you have revolutionary hboot installed, can you or do you know how to enter hboot or recovery, are you rooted and finally do you have stock or custom recovery?
Put it all in one post, maybe we can help.

Ok, I received a notification from the phone, that I can download an update. My phone has/had official ROM, and this was an official update, and I thought, that official updates are secure.

My bootloader is locked. I have adb, and htc drivers, my phone is covered by warranty(but if it is possible, I don't want to use it, because in Hungary I have to pay the post fees, and it takes "a lot of time" to get the phone back).
I was working while my phone was updating, and did not watch the full time my phone, but have not noticed any errors.
My phone was NOT rooted, it has S-ON, and I used official rom, as I said before. And unfortunatelly I do not have any recovery images.

are you still rooted? i thought that root disables OTA, so you'd have to temporary unroot first too.. also do you use stock recovery? (just to be sure)
for OTA you need to be:
- On stock rom
- On stock recovery
- On original CID (or supercid)

no problem mate, i'd really like to help you
but right now i have no more idea, because i think everything is prepared the way it should be but still there's this error... the last thing you could try is to put the CID back to the original one (the one you had before supercid) and try again..
but it's confusing me because the first update worked and the second now is stuck...

there is NO 4.2.2 RUU you have to flash a 4.1.2 RUU and then update to 4.2.2
i recommend to flash (ARHD 12.2) its the latest update and has tons of features,
Solutions:
Change everything to original CID, MID, boot and recovery..... no need to relock or anything else...you're S-OFF.
Do a wipe cache and davlink, reboot, and try to update
If it doesn't work..
Flash your RUU again (the one that match to your software and carrier), and ota update everything again... don't waste time trying anything else.. I would choose this one, so you garantee that nothing interfere and you have a stock phone.
is this going to work for me http://androidteen.com/htc-one-updat...cial-firmware/ ??? sorry im noob in flashing roms i know basics only...if you have the 4.1.2 ruu please provide me with instructions...thanks a lot....btw i make my CID back to normal but still have the problem
or should i use this one http://www.androidruu.com/getdownload.php?file=M7/PN07IMG_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.13_Radio_4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01_release_316789_signed.zip
it is my build is 1.29.401.16 and radio 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01
is this link above Compatible with my version ??

Anyone has the similar issue???. (Compare with the right one, SG note II).
I use other camera App (eg line camera) also has this problem. Especially during low light source. Even during daylight photography, there is some purple on the edges
IS it an hardware issue ?? Will this issue solve by update to 4.3 ??

I guess you'll have to do it the hard way. I think the following should work:
S-OFF your phone if it's not already
download a stock ROM from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422783
flash the ROM (this undoes root and any mods in /system)
reboot into recovery, adb shell, reset the "tampered" flag and lock the device according to these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540434
download the latest firmware.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422783, rename it to PO68IMG.zip
copy PO68IMG.zip to the external SD card
reboot into bootloader – this should flash the original firmware, including the stock recovery
factory reset
At this point the phone should be as stock as possible.

Really thanks !and can you guide me how to s_off ?
And will it show "relock" rather than "locked" after all done ?
Finally my phone is actually 901s (LTE version), the rom is ok for it ?

To S-OFF, use rumrunner. They provide detailed enough instructions.
I don't actually know what exactly the bootloader is going to show after following this procedure, as I haven't tried to follow it. But my guess is that if you reset the "tampered" flag, it should display "locked" rather than "relock". Don't take my word for this, though.
And finally, yes, the ROM and firmware is based on my 901S, so yeah, it should definitely work on yours. Actually, I haven't seen dumps from the 901E around here. I'd love to get my hands on those as well someday, but I have no idea how and I don't really have the time to try and figure it out…
Ok thanks a lot. I will try that .

Sounds like a bad camera like the HTC One, google htc one purple haze focus blurry and see if its the same as urs, if so u will have to get a replacement, haolened to me w my HTC One
ultra pixel cameras
It's evident that in a huge batch of HTC One that the camera has a purplish/pinkish/reddish tint. This was identified by HTC as a 'software problem' and was supposed to be rectified in the 4.3 update for the HTC One. But the update did not resolve the issue, and thus it was established as a whole that it was a hardware issue. HTC has declined to comment further, and if you bring in your device (while being in warranty), you'll get a replacement or a free fix. I have this problem, and a distant acquaintance of mine has this problem too. However, my girlfriend doesn't have this issue. The three of us use the BS.
I am personally gonna send it in for repair before the warranty expires. Sad that the UltraPixel module has this problem. ):
I'm also having the same problem, but i think it's really my fault tho :silly: My camera was working perfectly fine, until I installed a nexus 4 camera 4.2 apk for photoshpere. The camera didn't turn purple yet, until I installed the 4.3 apk and deleted the old gallery using titanium backup, and THAT'S when the camera turns purple. Not just the stock camera but all apps that uses the camera including the HTC camera Is there anyway to restore this without flashing a new rom? Backing up my music and pictures would be quite painful
hmm, I started noticing it today under extremely low light. It's not so much a tint through the whole image but rather, a wavy pattern like purple clouds in the sky... My phone was a bit warm from playing games but not hot, and I decided to take some lowlight video after (and HDR video). I don't think the problem was there in low light pictures a few days ago though.
For me, HDR video ALWAYS has purple tint in low light and I supposed this was normal as I think HDR video was designed for daylight rather than lowlight. I've used it before but it might be that using it at low light damages the camera sensor?

Your method Works !! Thank you very much! Sorry for the long time since my wife FINALLY AGREED to repair the phone recently ~
but I have a question: after I restore all the stuff (s-on, locked, no "tampered" flag ), I try an Offical OTA update from the phone (i.e. settings --> software update) and it shows "Tampered" immediately after reboot into Hboot and not allow me to go on. I have to do the whole thing again to get S-off --> reset tampered flag + locked the bootloader, s-on) and avoid Offical OTA update from the phone ~~~
And there is few tricks during "restoration work":
1) If the phone is already Android 4.3 (that means you already get the lastest offical update), then rumrunner will not work, as the Hboot is also upgraded to 1.55 from 1.54.
However, using "firewater" in Hboot 1.55 is OK.
- I am not quite familar with ADB command. I realized that I can execute ADB command when the phone is ON, USB connected with USB debugging ON. no need to boot into recovery or fastboot etc (I spent quite a lot of time to figure it out !)
- Just copy the "firewater" file into your adb command folder and execute the script , then your phone reboot several times, and will get s-off
- be sure to grant the SU request automatically so that your won't miss the SU requests during the process
2) When you update the latest firmware, be sure you are flashing the lastest Offical ROM also.
I've flash the old rom (probably 1.23.708.3 OTA) and the lastest firmware here, I got bootloop.
And I tried to flash 2.21.708.1 CL288207 (should be the lastest OTA update) and the lastest firmware and everything is OK
3) After all the instruction, the phone is locked, no tampered flag but there is one more thing left: to get the phone from S-off to S-on
Boot into bootloader --> fastboot. type the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" and you will get S-on again.
Be sure this is the last step or you will have to s-off again which takes a lot of time ~~~
[/B]
After all the steps, I sent the phone to HTC and they did not say anything about "void warranty" or "your phone software is modified", so I think once your phone is S-on, no tampered flag, locked bootloader, your warranty is still OK~
I will go pick up the phone today. HTC staff said they have replaced the camera hardware, hope the purple issue will be solved !!
Purple
I think it is definitely a hardware issue similar to the HTC One. Hardware warranty is the way to go.

Hi,
I really don't know what to do today.
I am on hboot 1.57 s-on and I was stuck with the no sound in call problem,so I downloaded a stock version of Android with stock kernel and updated the software version(firmware?) To the 6.09.401.11 but on any rom (insertcoin, viper, stock) the no sound in call bug is still there(no sound and no microphone).
The problem is that i can't downgrade my firmware because of the s-on.
So i'm stuck with a phone that can't call and I really don't know what to do to solve this.
Right now i'm back on viper but even when flashing the fix phone calls won't work. So I really need your help here.
Thanks in advance!

Before starting a thread, kindly search in the forum first. there are already 3 to 4 threads addressing this issue in the forum and they contain the necessary fixes/actions too pertaining your problem.
As for the fix to your problem. revert back to stock rom 6.09.401.11 and recovery. and reboot your bootloader. From there go to recovery and wait till the little phone image comes up with a red exclamation mark in it. ( you will have to wait for a few minutes before this appears after dark screen). Then press volume up and while keep pressing it, press the power button once. you will see the stock recovery menu in blue. go down and select wipe cache partition. press power button. It will wipe cache. then select reboot system now.
It will fix your problem hopefully.
Hey,
I did look for a topic like this one, but it seems the OTA 6.09.401.11 solved the problem but not for me ...
I'm back on 6.09.401.11 stock rom, stock recovery, not rooted and it is still not working.
I'll contact the htc support tommorow but I don't get why the update does'nt fix the problem for me ...

A nandroid does'nt downgrade the firmware ( wich is the faulty one ).
I tried it with an old backup I had, same firmware, same problem I just can't use my phone anymore that's so frustrating !
I can't believe I have to pay 25$ to s-off my device ... I hope htc will be able to help me about that tommorow !
EDIT : Even in safe mode, call does'nt work

it's not a firmware problem .. where did you get that idea ?
If it were firmware how would my phone work by simple restoring a nandroid and turning off play store updates
play store can not update your firmware
Well for me nandroid restore doesn't make my sound come back in call, I tried 5 different rom with full wipe ( stock, old one, new one, even viper with the fix) the only thing i can't flash is the firmware. SO I guess for me this is a firmware problem
Damn, just got htc chat operator, he don't understand why it's not working and they can't take my phone back to the repair center because my bootloader has been unlocked ... I'm stuck with a phone that can't call anymore

Don't think so, skype is working great. But anyway 'cause of that unlocked bootloader they might not fix it
It's a service pack issue from HTC! I have the same problem.
They're currently working on a fix, hopefully it will come soon.

Actually the OTA update solved the problem for every one on the forum. Are you also up to date ? Do you have the 6.09.401.11 firmware ?
If not just go to parameters, about the phone, update
Because HTC operator told me " it's strange" they are not aware of this problem on the last firmware

Good to know, haven't updated yet.
Im still on ARHD 82, wanted to wait till Android Lollipop Update, but it seems like i should update it now.
Thanks for the information!
Try the viper fix it should work on custom rom without wiping/going back to stock
So I decided to spend the 25$ needed to s-off, so I don't have to deal with the customer service of htc and wait 2 weeks for my device.
I flashed the last RUU but I guess just flashing the last firmware should have solve it too.
And to finish this thread, it seems I updated trough the ota but without flashing some older firmware first. As explained by a team venom member on the irc, the encrypted firmware does'nt contain all the element of the previous firmware update, so the firmware was kind of broken. Now I know I have to upgrade firmware one by one, I guess it's good to know.
