Like a bonehead i posted this in the At-t forum,
Just curious if anyones tested rumrunner for s-off on the M8 yet. Reading through it, it says it should work for most Htc devices that are Qualcom based and the Sprint Htc One is listed as confirmed. Just wonderd if anyone has actually tried it yet.

Didn't work for me as my desperation to get my S - OFF (lol) led me to similar reasoning. I have one of the M8's that gets the Whelp message in firewater though so it may still work for others...

Let me know if it works out for ya =) I got through 8 bottle pours before failing so it did seem to try a bit hard than firewater, haha.

Not doubting you, but skeptical. Can you provide a screenshots to show off your Festivus Miracle?
Can anyone (like a dev) replicate your success? Someone who is an established contributor?
There are only 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary math, and those who don't.

Hmm, okay. I'm going to still be a bit hands-off with this until a clear method of rooting, free of bugs, drops.
Has anyone tried the Raider's root?
I means its nothing bad I've only had it happen twice , you just remount it and go about your way

It ought to work, but there are better ways to get perm root if you're bootloader's unlocked. Temp root methods use exploits to break things and get root, but if you've got an unlocked bootloader, you can use legitimate methods to flash su to the proper location. Check the sticky for info on using the SuperTool.

Very true. But then again the so-called "carrier testing" seems to make up for all the speedy initial builds.

I know that this is an older thread, and that I'm kind of dragging up the dead, but... Was there ever any progress on getting this ROM ported over to the m7spr (or something comparable?) Last I heard, someone was working on it, but then it kind of died down... I really liked the look of this one.

Hey guys,
I just wanted a bit of help really. Whenever I enter recovery and attempt to flash a rom that has aroma installer included, my touchscreen doesn't work.
I have tried with clockwork mod and twrp.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

My personal opinon - as this phone matures more, more and more people will be deving for it, im almost certain that it will get the proper s - off in due time! A phone with this much hype always seems to get just the right development teams

HTC One M8 Original Development, make sure you check the comments before trying anything on your phone, seems like some roms are based on the Google Play Edition RUU, which has different sized partitions. Works great for an international M8, would most likely brick our M8.

I'd be careful flashing something that's not specifically for the Sprint model. You're gonna have a bad time. Someone will have to port it.
