Like the title says, I've tried everything I can think of and ran firewater and rumrunner more times than I can count but just cant get it to work. Can anyone help me or am I just S.O.L? Why do some m8's let you s-off but not others? I'm on 1.54.651.8
No-one can help buddy sorry! It's just a waiting game to get it working...Patience is the best thing for you now!

Not doubting you, but skeptical. Can you provide a screenshots to show off your Festivus Miracle?
Can anyone (like a dev) replicate your success? Someone who is an established contributor?
There are only 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary math, and those who don't.

Hmm, okay. I'm going to still be a bit hands-off with this until a clear method of rooting, free of bugs, drops.
Has anyone tried the Raider's root?
I means its nothing bad I've only had it happen twice , you just remount it and go about your way

This is great news, time to make a rom...ill return to you all soon

It ought to work, but there are better ways to get perm root if you're bootloader's unlocked. Temp root methods use exploits to break things and get root, but if you've got an unlocked bootloader, you can use legitimate methods to flash su to the proper location. Check the sticky for info on using the SuperTool.
Are there any?

I don't know if anyone is even working on the bootloader for this device.

Its being worked on. No updates other then we have a solid unbrick method. If something comes out of it im sure the devs will post it, otherwise no sense getting hopes up

Agreed. We have root which is better than nothing. And that didn't take long at all. Faster than I had hopes for. So I'm sure it's being worked on very diligently, just gotta be patient. Plus with xposed you can still do some pretty good cool things.
Pretty sure you'd know about it. Lol.

Read around. From what I've read Designgears(the guy who gave us root) and chainfire(awesome Samsung dev) are both working for it. Whoever figures it out will make a nice paycheck off it.

Hey guys,
I just wanted a bit of help really. Whenever I enter recovery and attempt to flash a rom that has aroma installer included, my touchscreen doesn't work.
I have tried with clockwork mod and twrp.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you S-OFF ? If yes update your firmware and update CWM TR. That issue was fixed a while ago...
I'm on hboot 1.54 and no-one in England does s-off for my boot loader at the moment

True lol but it's still a good 250 miles away and it's pointless going that far just for s-off lol

Need to change the supercid but May not work I'm not responsible if u break your phone letting u know

I would be very cautious unless it states it's for Sprint. Seen a lot of people screw up their device on the m7 flashing international roms and kernels not labeled for Sprint.

Like a bonehead i posted this in the At-t forum,
Just curious if anyones tested rumrunner for s-off on the M8 yet. Reading through it, it says it should work for most Htc devices that are Qualcom based and the Sprint Htc One is listed as confirmed. Just wonderd if anyone has actually tried it yet.

Didn't work for me as my desperation to get my S - OFF (lol) led me to similar reasoning. I have one of the M8's that gets the Whelp message in firewater though so it may still work for others...

Let me know if it works out for ya =) I got through 8 bottle pours before failing so it did seem to try a bit hard than firewater, haha.
