It dawned on me today....
The Today plugin weather screen... instead of putting your city or state or zip code (whatever) wouldn't it be helpful if the application could use the built in GPS to grab your current location and update the weather for you?
Like, if you drive from City #1 ----> 300 miles ---> City #2, your weather automatically updates based on your GPS location in City #2
That does sound cool....but I don't want to even think about the lag on my Today screen for it to be trying to access GPS.
OPTION:
[] Use GPS
[] Do Not Use GPS
This way, people have options and also you can choose GPS only when you go on journey.
I'm using the HTC Flip Clock widget and it automatically updates my location. It was working fine last night and now its not. I'm right now in Woodridge, IL and my flip clock still shows Matteson, IL weather. I know it's not that big of a difference in weather based on 30-35 miles, but I just want it to sync to the correct location. Under "My Location sources", I have use wireless networks and enable gps satellites selected. If this was a pre-existing hero rom issue, please forgive me. I didn't find anything when I searched. Any positive feedback would be greatly appreciated.
why dont you try refreshing it and if that doesnt work then just delete the widgt and then add it again.

open up the main weather app, check the setting, and hit refresh. If its not working than I would say whatever ROM you have has issues with the weather app.
With my flip clock, it doesnt update unless i manually do it. On the next page, i put a full-screen weather widget and hit the update bar at the bottom of the weather widget. this in turn will update the flip clock.
Im having a problem with the weather app, when I set the location to Montevideo (where I live) I can't scroll through the graph which is suppoused to show hourly temperature. It's weird because it works fine with any other location
I'm running froyo
Can anyone test it with your nexus one, setting the location to Montevideo in the weather app, to see if it works fine

Hey guys. I went back to a stock rooted rom on my t879 and was wondering if it came with the wifi calling widget? i can't find it anywhere. Wifi calling works just fine its just I'd like an easy way to just turn it on or off when i want.

Hello. I have it on the stock ROM. I can assure you that it is not present on my SGH-T879. The widgets in the stock ROM are: AccuWeather.com, Application monitor, Classic clock, Simple clock, Funky clock, Modern clock, Contact, Days, Digital Clock, Analog dual clock, Digital dual clock, Email, Gmail, Google Play Books, Google Play Music, Google Search (icon widget), Google Search (bar widget), Google+ Posts, Home screen tips, Lookout, MobileLife, Picture frame, Play Store, Power saving, S Bookmark, S Memo, S Memo direct, Month, Mini task, 3 days, Today, Mini today, Agenda, Task, Mini agenda, Social Hub, Software update, Traffic, Voice talk, and YouTube. It is enabled through your wireless and network settings. If you select "more", you can enable wifi calling there then you can also pull up the wifi calling preferences. Any time you are on wifi calling you will see it in your status bar. A blue icon means you're connected, a red one means you have an issue.
Also, when you're actually on a wifi call.... the notification icon turns green.
I had to get my new SIM card replaced once already because I kept getting the red icon that hoggass referred to.... Turns out my SIM card was not wifi call compatible (even though it was a new one that came with the new Note). Since T-Mobile replaced the card, I've had no issues whatsoever (and I use wifi calling 99% of the time)

With Nova Launcher, you can set a gesture to bring up the Wifi Calling settings. I have mine set so if I touble tap on the home screen, I can quickly toggle the wifi calling.
"At a glance" does not show time, any solution..?

I already appeared, but reading some forums, I must keep GPS active, is that correct? being so, the battery consumption will be higher :/

Google is ready but nothing, i disable asist google too

For sure, This default weather "widget" (at a glance) need the application Google in an active state...
