[Q] Random reboots/shut downs

Hello,
I have a problem with my m7 that several times a day restart or shut down and some times only starts again with the powerbutton for 10sec. Can I find log files anywhere to see what that is?

Between ViperOne and ElementalX, that's a lot of settings to deal with, anything could go wrong. I would put my Phone back to stock and see if the problem persists. If the problem goes away Start over and make note of all the custom settings you choose.
The logcat can be collected from recovery using adb
as soon as the phone reboots/shuts down go into recovery and from your adb/fastboot directory type adb logcat -d > logcat.txt

have you overclocked or undervolted something with that elementalx?
If yes, that's the problem.

Guess a lot of things can go wrong with all that. Gonna wait for ViperOne 5 and try the latest ElementalX before going back to stock.
Didnt understand anything of the logfile. But thanx for instructions. :good:
Decrypt logcat
As mentioned I have a problem with random reboots several times a day. Posting a logcat and hope to get some help decrypting it.
is it the same on stock firmware?

Yes, it is. Never reboots while charging though....
what this type of things happens to me i stick to the basics.. redownload rom make sure it was a good download.. fresh install wipe everything cache,davlik,data.. install rom full wipe on aroma options.. then run the rom as it is maybe a halfday check if the problem is still there.. if everything is ok no reboots or whatnot after halfday or better the whole day then flash the custom kernel.. without any overclocks or undervolt.. usually this method finds the real culprit..

[Q] Boot loop - back to factory

Hi
I have an HTC One which i installed Google Play Edition 4.4.2 on. Now i figured out i'd actually miss some features and thought i wanted to get back to stock (like when i bougth it). The problem is i was following a guide on the "wonderhowto" site, and it didn't work. The guide told me to turn S-ON, and i understand now how stupid that was. So i've been messing around for many hours, but with no results.
I would like to get some help. Thank you in advance!

is your bootloader still unlocked? If your device still boots, you should re-s-off asap
i would just RE S-OFF and you should be fine. even with S-ON he should be able to flash other stuff. just wont be able to update the firmware. haha

My device is able to boot, but it shut down after 1-2 seconds, so I cannot re S-Off (at least not with any methods I know). My device is unlocked and tampered.
Well, you should have a nandroid or a ROM.zip on your internal SD card. Also with an OTG cable and USB stick it is easy enough to flash a .zip
Also, go to bootloader and in fastboot mode do a fastboot erase cache,
then go to recovery, and go from there.

Okay so i've managed to get into Clockworkmod recovery, but not through the recovery option - it was through the Factory Reset option. From there i tried several different RUU (stock and CM), but non of them worked. Then i downloaded a GURU stock file (named Guru_Reset_M7_3.62.401.1), wiped everything (again) and sideloaded it. It installed, and now everything works again
Thank you to everybody!

You have to be S-OFF to remove the Tampered banner and to Locked you phone versus Relocked.
Obtain S-OFF with Sunshine S-OFF, it is the quickest way but there is a fee. Since you are returning the phone for repair which would cost more?
Follow nkk71's SuperGuide for returning to stock step by step and do not skip the steps or rearrange the steps. It is important to follow in the correct sequence.
Use the Guru Reset just select stock recovery and radio. If you are sending it in for repairs it does not have to have the latest OTA, when the repair facility is finished they will upgrade the phone to the latest version.

No Rom and no Recovery what to do ? (HTC One M7)

Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with my HTC One M7.
The Rom that is/was on the phone is on OS-6.14.111.2
But in the bootloader the displayed OS is 7.18.11.2 . For the moment it's relocked but can be unlocked again. It is also S-ON and it has no working recovery.
The problems are :
- The phone boots and after the first HTC (Powered by android) screen i get a black screen, and nothing is happening here.
- I can't seem to get any working recovery on the phone (TWRP or CWM), after i flash a recovery i get the message "Entering Recovery..." a brief flash and then the message again, and then nothing happends
any idea what i'm doing wrong ? What i can try ? or do i have a beautifull new paperweight ?

Looks like you have an hardware problem. Flashing a RUU should fix any software or firmware issue so its most likely the hardware.
OK thanks very much my fone went sat
