[Q] Random reboots/shut downs - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a problem with my m7 that several times a day restart or shut down and some times only starts again with the powerbutton for 10sec. Can I find log files anywhere to see what that is?
Besides reboots, I feel that everything is working fine fine.

Between ViperOne and ElementalX, that's a lot of settings to deal with, anything could go wrong. I would put my Phone back to stock and see if the problem persists. If the problem goes away Start over and make note of all the custom settings you choose.
The logcat can be collected from recovery using adb
as soon as the phone reboots/shuts down go into recovery and from your adb/fastboot directory type adb logcat -d > logcat.txt

have you overclocked or undervolted something with that elementalx?
If yes, that's the problem.

Thanx! Lets see if it helps.

Guess a lot of things can go wrong with all that. Gonna wait for ViperOne 5 and try the latest ElementalX before going back to stock.
Didnt understand anything of the logfile. But thanx for instructions. :good:

Decrypt logcat
As mentioned I have a problem with random reboots several times a day. Posting a logcat and hope to get some help decrypting it.

is it the same on stock firmware?

Yes, it is. Never reboots while charging though....

what this type of things happens to me i stick to the basics.. redownload rom make sure it was a good download.. fresh install wipe everything cache,davlik,data.. install rom full wipe on aroma options.. then run the rom as it is maybe a halfday check if the problem is still there.. if everything is ok no reboots or whatnot after halfday or better the whole day then flash the custom kernel.. without any overclocks or undervolt.. usually this method finds the real culprit..

But as soon as it boots. It reboots after few seconds and keeps rebooting like that.:crying:
I dont know now what to do. I have tried flashing soul ROMs, still the same issue.
It boots up but i dont see anything on the screen, just the battery icon and no signal. it again reboots.

If you can post HTC One 802d indian official firmware package, it will be of great great help.!
Also, Please tell me how i can get back to S-ON as i will have to visit service center, i suppose.

There seems to no RUU for us brother..!
I have searched everywhere. All that is available is Chinese and European RUU only.
Only way left now is to hand it over to HTC Repair.
Please post the stock nandroid back if anyone has. Here is extra info.

I am already s-off and have done what you have suggested here already. Doesn't work..!!
My condition now is when i restore my stock nandroid backup and reboot the phone. I get the welcome and setup screen. (Radio is gone, so no signal whatsoever)
After i finish setup and get to the homescreen. It doesn't load. I have to tap settings and when i press home back, i see all the icons and everything as it was. The phone stays like that for few seconds and then reboots.
After it reboots, only battery, clock and cellular signals icon are visible and it stays like that for few seconds and reboots again.
Any idea whats going on??
What exactly doesn't work with suggested scheme? Does the phone boot after installing original chinese ROM?

[Q] Can't get any ROMs installed

So I have read every thread here in this forum and I have found a lot of information, but often the solution that worked isn't described.
My issue is as follows. I have Cyanogenmod 11 on my HTC one M7 and I want to go back to sense again. I figured I could just load Android Revolution HD 82.0 • High Quality & Performance • 6.09.401.10 • 4.4.3 and run that one. Well installation runs and I can reboot as I'm asked to do. But then my phone just restarts and restarts for ever. I run a backup and now have Cyanogenmod again but is not able to put ROMs on the SD card folder.
So time for some information:
TWRP v2.8.1.0
fastboot getvar all

version-bootloader: 1.57.0000
version-baseband: 4T.29.3218.08

all: Done!
So the question is really: What to do to? Either get an official RUU installed or a custom ROM that is simular as I tried to....
Any help would be appreciated. And IF it is a thread I have missed with this exact problem I'm sorry.

No Rom and no Recovery what to do ? (HTC One M7)

Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with my HTC One M7.
The Rom that is/was on the phone is on OS-6.14.111.2
But in the bootloader the displayed OS is 7.18.11.2 . For the moment it's relocked but can be unlocked again. It is also S-ON and it has no working recovery.
The problems are :
- The phone boots and after the first HTC (Powered by android) screen i get a black screen, and nothing is happening here.
- I can't seem to get any working recovery on the phone (TWRP or CWM), after i flash a recovery i get the message "Entering Recovery..." a brief flash and then the message again, and then nothing happends
any idea what i'm doing wrong ? What i can try ? or do i have a beautifull new paperweight ?

Looks like you have an hardware problem. Flashing a RUU should fix any software or firmware issue so its most likely the hardware.
OK thanks very much my fone went sat
