If nobody shares (I do not have XT1053), then go here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0
Download the 4.4.2 SBF for the XT1053. Extract it. You can mount the .img files with the appropriate software, and extract the files you need from there. (just search google for "mount img" and you should find what you need)
Good luck
Here ya go http://www.filedropper.com/systemui if you have time can you navigate to /system and upload your build.prop for me

I would like to use this Phone.apk file in this ROM.
Do I just unzip the ROM, replace the .apk, rezip the ROM, sign the .zip, and flash?
Is there only one Phone.apk file to replace?
Last thing I want is a paper-weight
Thanks!
I just thought of this: could I just install the .apk via a file manager (as long as unknown sources are checked)?

First, you're not going to brick your phone.
Second, I don't know how CSDI works. Try it and find out.

No. Maybe if you remount /system in read-write, even then it's probably easier to try it by just replacing and resigning.
I know in donut, you can just replace it without any problems (like other system apps depending on it). Don't know about anything else.
Edit:
1. unzip and copy Phone.apk to /sdcard
2. remount system rw
3. cat /sdcard/Phone.apk > /system/app/Phone.apk
4. rm /system/app/Phone.odex (only do this if there is a Phone.odex file)

There's what the thread says about installing it, have you tried? (Nandroid in case that ROM doesn't like it.)
Hello everyone!!
So i got myself a WiFi Xoom and rooted it. By mistake uninstalled the stock browser with titanium backup and now its gone from the system. Can any of you please provide me with a flashable file so i can flash it via recovery and restore app?
I tried getting the apk from one of the system dumps on the developer section but when i try to install it i get the message "App not Installed".
did you move the apk to system/app and give it correct permissions rw/r/r?

I tried to copy the apk to the system/app folder using ES file exlorer but it does not let me, and i dont know how to set the correct permissions.
Use RootExplorer, it does all mentioned stuff
Put the apk into this file. Put it in the system/app folder and flash in recovery.

I've Lost My Browser
EDITED:::Nvmd, replaced browser.apk with the ones from system dump, as mentioned in OP, and that resolved my issue of not being able to use the stock browser.
Can someone upload the original feature.xml file for the SM-n900a running 4.4.2. I made some edits and want to revert back but lost my backup copy. The file is located in /system/csc/. Thank you in advance.

Check for odex files in system/app or priv-app or framework. If they are not there then ur system is deodexed.

Hello guys!
I'm a developing the AOXP ROM for our lovely Z3Cs. But I do not know how to deodex the stock rom.
Can I deodex the prerooted firmware zip created with PRFCreator??? It is based on the latest .291 firmware.
If any of you experienced developers can help me I would be grateful!
Thank you!
If you need any new information, I will add it to this post.
Deodexer for Pc running Windows Os.
You have to install lastest .Net Framework and Java too.
I dont know how to repack the system.ext4 partition into prerooted.zip, but i know how to deodex this partition.
6.0.1 rom .291:
Copy /framework, /app, /priv-app, build.prop, odex.framework.sqsh, odex.app.sqsh, odex.priv-apk.sqsh from /system to /*Work space* folder, use lastest 7zip to extract .sqsh files, then copy all .odex files to /apk/*apk name*/oat. make sure correct .apk and .odex name.
then running SVAdeodexer, choose /*Work space* folder and check /apk, /priv-apk, /framework to deodex.
all deodexed apps will be placed in /SVAdeodexer folder (the folder containing deodexer app)
*** app file (.apk) from /framework wont be deodexed, u should copy that app to /apk, after deodexed, copy that app back to /framework.
then delete /framework, /app, /priv-app, odex.framework.sqsh, odex.app.sqsh, odex.priv-app.sqsh, /odex.framework, /odex.app, /odex.priv-app from system.ext4 partiotion and copy /framework, /app, /priv-app deodexed back to system.ext4
