I've been using an app in my androidphone "Metafy" that shows track and artist on my pebble when using spotify. Since the latest update of Spotify this does not work any more. Any one have the same problem?

Found an alternative app for sending Spotify info to the Pebble music controller that seems to work.
(BTW I'm using galaxy s3 and liquid smooth ROM 4.4.2).
why don't you share what you found as an alternative?
Alternative app
I use Media Utilities. It works with Spotify and Podcast (and possibly more).
The disadvantage is, that it needs notification access to read out the current track/podcast. Additionally the user interface is a little odd and buggy.
But it works and nothing bad has happened yet.

Sorry I forgot to put that in there. It was not a good solution anyways it was a strange app that constantly increased the volume.
Tried Media Utilities as posted above and it works!
It does not show Album though.
In the app I added spotify, and then in settings under Application Integration i checked the marker next to Pebble Watch.
Use Music Boss to fix this, and you'll also gain the best watch app for Pebble as a bonus n

Hey guys I was just wondering if it were possible to modify
the YouTube app or even develop a new one that can gain full access to the website (no more unavailable on mobile devices ) and the ability to turn off the screen while listening to normal music videos (no music stopping ).
I find it annoying to have the screen on while just listening to a normal song which mainly display still pictures

Try downloading JetVD, that's app play any video.

On my gear I noticed that the quick reply feature for text messages does not work unless you are using the stock app I the note 3. Also the media controller did not work with any app other than the Samson music app. Did I configure something wrong or is that the way it is designed?

can't talk about text replying, but 3rd party music players works for me.
i'm using poweramp and i am able to control music using my gear. it doesn't show albumart though.
just make sure you do not have more than 1 music player installed, as sometimes it goes crazy and it will control music through samsung app...

dont know with the messages, but for the media controller i got a dirty fix that works well in my case.
i only use spotify for music, and a audiobook player app, so i simply froze the stock music app with titanium backup and now it works like a charm for my other apps.
the funny thing was that before i froze it, i could control other audio apps, but i had to first push a button on the media controller, then go to the phone and kill the stock music app, after that it recognized the other audio app..

I personally used M2D's manager app to send tasker intents from my watch to my phone and on the phone I have tasks for each control and use "Media Utilities" in the Play store to actually perform the actions as it has a tasker plugin. I also use it to send the currently playing song to my watch and display it with the Zooper widget. It's tricky and time consuming but there is a tutorial in the M2D thread in these forums.

My question is clear : i'm looking for a music browser for gear. I mean that when i play my music (songs inside my phone, not in my gear) i can controll it from the gear (stop, play, back, next song) but i don't know how to browse my music library directly from my gear, which could allow me to choose (from gear) the single or album i want to listen to (in my phone's music library). Does anybody know an app or some soft that could make it possible?

Thank you very much for your answer... But it seems to me that Spotify works only with 3G or Wifi network, and i'm looking for a bluetooth link in order to work even if there is absolutely no network available. And a solution that works only for songs stored in my phone. I'm not sure there is an answer to my question, but thanks again for your help!

I can't think of a way to easily browse your playlist via Bluetooth..... however selecting an album or song is theoretically possible with the use of a lot of tasker.

Well i know that it's possible because an app for Gear S works that way... With a tasker, yes, but i think it would not be easy to make... I'd like an app simple and ready to use, the same that exist for Gear S (unfortunately it's a Tizen app so it can't be used for Gear 1).

I've been thinking about making a tasker player for a while. I'll add a search feature.......
I have joined the Samsung family after having been with Sony for many many years and the 1 thing I do miss are the music, keyboard and weather apps/widgets. Other then that I am loving the S10!
I do want to ask what music apps people are using though? Ideally I want 1 like Sony's as it gave me the option of a widget and I could download album art on there. I have tried many of the apks that are available for the Sony one, some don't work on the S10 and some work flawlessly EXCEPT I cannot make a playlist or add songs to my favourites. However when I tried doing these on other music apps and then going back to the Sony one, the songs will appear on my playlists?! Is there a reason for this? It's really bugging me that my S10 is not yet perfect for me :crying:
Any advice or recommendations are welcome!

I using Musicolet. It is new app. Is free and without ads, heavy customizable and light. I was using long time JetAudio, PowerAmp and now settled with Musicolet.

Samsung Music 16.2.16.10 (Available On Apk Mirror) is the best music app ever made for offline playback. Its very colorful just like Sony's Walkman used to be.
For Editing Album Arts etc I would recommend Star Music editor from the play store.

It's also the only music app with folders search in android auto

The Samsung app is very nice, but not usable for anyone with a music collection over 10k songs. It will only play the first 10k songs in the music players list. I've tried many different ways to get it to play different ways and it basically only plays the song you selected and the 9,999k in the first of the list from what the app can see. It wasn't like this prior to the apps updates introducing Spotify into the app.

Also thanks for the link to Sony's 1 but I have already tried that and as mentioned, creating playlists or adding to favourites doesn't seem to work ? but for some reason if I create those playlists in another music app, they will appear in the Sony one?! Anybody know why or how I can fix this please?
