Hi. I have a M7 DE since release and have converted to Google Edition with stock ROM.
I've never updated the firmware or radio. So I assume it's still the original unless updating the ROM changed it. Should I update the firmware? Would there be a substantial benefit? Sorry for noob question but couldn't figure out an answer.
Thanks.

That is up to you. If it is working for you then cool. Just remember that they updated those things for a reason. Some may see an improvment and some will not.
Hmm... okay. Any help even figuring out which firmware I am running?
When I run a fastboot getvar... it's blank.
(bootloader) version-main:
The build number under System Info is: KTU84L

Hi guys,
I'm a proud owner of a HTC One M7 International Unlocked U.S and so far I coudn't upgrade it to Android 4.2 via OTA (it's still running the stock 4.1). How can I proceed in order to get it running version 4.2? Is it possible to update it to Android 4.2 via USB? Is root needed in order to do that? Thank you very much.
What software build are you on at the moment?

EddyOS,
The software number is 1.36.599.1 and Android Version 4.1.2
Going by this thread (which I found by searching, something you should become familiar with ) there seem to be other on the same build saying there are things missing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43272550
Should point you in the right direction
This another thread is not related to the updates but it helped me understood this version is for LATAM (Mexico) and probably it's the cause I'm not receiving the update via OTA. Any options left?
Hello again
I got my sprint HTC one and update with OTA to 4.3 and did root to it.
I would like to know if there's a way to go back to the version I got the device - I think it was 4.2.2
Thanks

If you took OTA then it probably updated firmware as well, which from what I understand breaks TouchPanel for the older ROMs.
Unless someone comes out with a patch for their 4.1/4.2 roms to make touch panel work with new firmware, I don't think the touch panels going to work...

I would also love an answer to this, I have flashed a 4.3 version rom, cant access any media from before, when I check I see same amount of storage as before, but cant see where anything is
From my understanding, the new T-Mobile OTA to 4.4 should bring us a new version of hboot and radio.
According to a firmware flashing post in the main HTC One forum, wifi calling is baked into T-Mobile's radio.
Now that I want to go to a 4.4.2 custom ROM, I have two questions.
How do ViperOne and InsertCoin manage to incorporate Wifi calling if the functionality is baked into the radio? Or does this mean they have the new radio and I will get all the optimizations supposedly to come with a new version?
I understand that Hboot version 1.56 is coming with 4.4. I'm currently on 1.55. Does this have any implications on me updating? Should I wait for the OTA update then convert to a custom ROM since technically, if I do it right now, I'm on a different base?
I'm really confused since this is my first HTC phone. My old Sony never was this complicated.
If I said anything wrong could you please explain? Thanks!
Anyone?

I have installed InsertCoin 7.14(KitKat based) on my HTC One with bootloader 1.55 as my One hasn't received the update. No issues there. Sorry I have no idea regarding ur TMobile issue
I've just (finally!) updated my HTC One firmware to 6.09.401.5 from the ancient 1.29.708.4 it had from when I first got it.
I can find a changelog for 6.09.401.5 if you were coming from 6.06.401.1, but nothing older than that.
I'm just curious to know just how much has changed since I first got the phone.
Is there a site that has an archive of all the changes? If there is, I can't find it! :silly:
Thanks in advance
I am an unhappy user of the 5.0.2 ROM and I am planning to downgrade to the original 4.4.4. Which ROM is the right form my phone?
My current 5.0.2 config is:
My Baseband version is:
MSM8626BP_1032.3105.93.00R EMEA_DSDS_CUST
My kernel version is:
3.4.42-g48d3b85
My system version is
22.21.28.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 reteu
Build number
LXB22.46-28
I bought the phone in Greece.
It would be great if we collect info to build a map of what stock ROMs are out there, and for what regions.

I checked the link but found no reference for reteu. I see many posts of how to downgrade but very few of them actually mention the region. I have seen so far at least three regional labels: retin for India, retus for US and reteu for EU.
What I am hoping for is to revert my phone to the EXACT state it was when I bought it, which means it hsould also be able to receive OTA updates if needed. I am wondering if this is possible.

There is no reteu. At least not for download. Since your baseband is dsds, just go with the dsdsall version.
