[Q] Which stock ROM is suitable for my phone? - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am an unhappy user of the 5.0.2 ROM and I am planning to downgrade to the original 4.4.4. Which ROM is the right form my phone?
My current 5.0.2 config is:
My Baseband version is:
MSM8626BP_1032.3105.93.00R EMEA_DSDS_CUST
My kernel version is:
3.4.42-g48d3b85
My system version is
22.21.28.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 reteu
Build number
LXB22.46-28
I bought the phone in Greece.
It would be great if we collect info to build a map of what stock ROMs are out there, and for what regions.

I checked the link but found no reference for reteu. I see many posts of how to downgrade but very few of them actually mention the region. I have seen so far at least three regional labels: retin for India, retus for US and reteu for EU.
What I am hoping for is to revert my phone to the EXACT state it was when I bought it, which means it hsould also be able to receive OTA updates if needed. I am wondering if this is possible.

There is no reteu. At least not for download. Since your baseband is dsds, just go with the dsdsall version.

What are the benefits of upgrading firmware / radio

Hi. I have a M7 DE since release and have converted to Google Edition with stock ROM.
I've never updated the firmware or radio. So I assume it's still the original unless updating the ROM changed it. Should I update the firmware? Would there be a substantial benefit? Sorry for noob question but couldn't figure out an answer.
Thanks.

That is up to you. If it is working for you then cool. Just remember that they updated those things for a reason. Some may see an improvment and some will not.
Hmm... okay. Any help even figuring out which firmware I am running?
When I run a fastboot getvar... it's blank.

If it isn't listed here, it's likely not been made available yet,
http://www.filefactory.com/folder/dd05c058d3ff8dbe/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=100&page=1
Don't downgrade or you will likely brick. And don't flash other carrier firmware either, or you could have other issues.
Why would you want to unroot? If it's for warranty repair, There's no point... They will see you've unlocked your bootloader no matter what you do.

I'd just want confirmation from others that flashing the EU version worked for them first. If you flash it and end up with issues, you'll be stuck if there's no version for your device. Again, with no downgrading.

is it possible to re lock the boot loader and get back warranty?
umm... naah... although there is a way to remove the warning sign in the boot...
in the moto x, its impossible to relock the bootloader
You can relock the bootloader, but it will show as "relocked".... Not locked as it originally was.

[Q] (Q) Correct firmware on my phone?

Hi, new here.
I have my MOTO G 2nd Gen working without problems but reading some posts here about the firmware 5.0.2 being released for the different versions of the Moto G I wast just thinking.
Android: 5.0.2
Kernel: 3.4.42-g48d3b85
System: 22.21.28.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 reteu
Compilation: LXB22.46-28
Do I have to worry about the installed firmware?
If I would have to flash the phone or update it to the correct firmware, I will loose everything on it? Thanks guys.

what was on your phone originally? the above firmware is the Global version of xt1068 firmware , there are only 2 versions of xt1068 a 8gb and a 16gb , most xt1068 regional versions are based from this but have country specific modem base bands and other minor alterations.
for example Global works on my xt1068 United Kingdom (GB) phone but Brazilian xt1068 wont .

I think 4.4.4 STOCK. I wast looking to upgrade to Lollipop and found a post that requires to download the firmware and paste it at SD Card to upgrade. It's an XT1068 8GB bought on US I think... And I live in Argentina.

5.0.2 is lollipop and there's no newer version at moment, so what are you trying to do? go back to 4.4.4? if so heres a link.. the soak , ota final and firmware files are all the same Jan 6th release of 22.21.28 (lollipop)
there are firmware files appearing that are regional versions of 5.0.2, but if your xt1068 is working why change?

I'm gonna say yes simply because any XT1068 firmware can be flashed onto a xt1068 - just some regional versions have different modem files. (i.e Brazilian)
So as you probably had retail ds ds ALL reteu firmware 4.4.4
you have the correct 5.0.2 firmware, but they may be a regional version available at a later date
the retaildsdsall.en.03 is like a GLOBAL firmware for all xt1068's
my UK (GB) xt1068 was running UK firmware but now runs the 5.0.2 global version with no ILL effects
Ok, so I do not have to worry. In a near future I would get the regional update for my phone, correct?

Did someone with 21.11.14 got the Lollipop update?

Hi guys, i see that many people got the update but most of them are with 21.11.23... Did someone with 21.11.14 got the Lollipop update?
I also have 21.11.14 but i didn't receive the update yet.
One more 21.11.14 retde and still no update here.
Same here, German version. I'm actually considering to unlock and flash the official ROM. But I guess I'll just wait in a couple of days.

Same here. German retail, no update yet. I'm also thinking about installing a custom rom, especially now that PA is available for this phone. The RAM issues are so annoying that I don't know how much longer I'll be able to wait.

I was on 21.11.14 european retail and I already switched to 5.0.2 manually last Sunday.
Well, I have to say that the main difference is the memory managment. On Lollipop is way better, I absolutely confirm that :victory:

Sorry to say but the soak test, indian OTA capture , official Full firmware and currently rolling out OTA of lollipop 5.0.2 for XT1068 IS the same firmware.. LXB22.46-28 build date Jan 6th
Its just delivered by different ways and installed by different methods.
even the regional versions of XT1068 i.e retgb , retde and retbr etc will most probably have been based on this 5.0.2 RETAIL ALL firmware if they follow the same structure as 4.4.4 firmwares
HINT MOTOROLA i'm still waiting FOR UK (GB) version.
I'm currently looking at the Brazilian 5.0.2 xt1068 firmware to see what regional changes are applied compared to the RETAIL ALL 5.0.2 xt1068 firmware.
Having the 21.11.27 european retail really sucks ^^
still waiting ...

C900 Build Number Warranty

Hi There,
I updated my phone to the latest B167 version which changed my build number to C900. Now my bootloader is NOT unlocked, phone has NOT been rooted etc. I'm now having problems with my phones GPS and want to send it in for Huawei to look at...is my warranty void though as I manually updated my phone to B167 and now have the C900 build number?
Cheers

Oh...great thought it would only be void if I'd have rooted and unlocked BL seeing as what I currently have is just a stock Global FW and not a modified or Beta FW. And I've no idea...I spent ages trying to find out but no idea what version i was running before going to the global one I have now... plus would there even be a way to get back to stock?

also there are two downloads on there with the same name "EVA-L09C02B132" any idea why that is?
