nope. nope. nope. nope. even hard developement in cm11(novafusion) its kind of buggy.
you can use otg transfer files plug mouse/keyboard/gamepad. but when you unplug it. phone thinks its charging something. you need to reboot phone everytime.

OTG?

Maybe a daft question but I cant get OTG to work on my HO? it should work by default on stock rom? 1.29.401.16
How are you trying to use it exactly? And yes, it is supposed to work on stock ROM just fine.

[Q] Is USB Hosting via OTG cable possible on rooted KFSOWI yet?

I've read that the hardware allows it but the kernel does not. Are there any fixes yet?

your referring to the 2013 kfhd right? I don't see how we could even enable otg on that device, we can't put a custom kernel on it because the bootloader is locked.

[Q] Green led while charging (How to Disable it)?

Hello, I have rooted my phone and tried the lightflow app temporarily and then I happened to deleted it. However since I still can't seem to be able to find a way to disable the Green LED while charging either through wireless or through the wall unit.
Help please.

No, Not really.. I just rooted and installed lightflow post rooting and it was not set up yet! However whilst charging the green led persisted to stay on!

What ROM, what kernel?
Your signature says you're on franco kernel. If this is true you can use francos app and disable it under kernel settings

Hah.. didn't see that. Franco kernel enables the charging led by default. Search the kernel thread for the command to turn it off, or buy franko.Kernel Updater to turn it off easily.
/sys/devices/leds-qpnp-f002ee00/leds/charging/
If you don't want to type the command into terminal. You can go to this directory with a root enabled file explorer (I use ES file explorer) and change the max_brightness file from 1 to 0
This will do the same as the terminal command, I think however, just like typing it into terminal you will have to redo it on each boot
Use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androguide.universal.init.d to set on boot if you do not have FKU because Franco does not have init.d support.
Turn the switch in the app to ON
Create a file in /system/etc/init.d
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
#
#Charge LED - Off
echo 0 > /sys/devices/leds-qpnp-f002ee00/leds/charging/max_brightness
Really only need the 4th line.

Just wondering how did you solve it. Did you buy the Franco app or did you do the file method? I too want to disable this LED.

My assumption is because he was using franco kernel, he disabled it with the franco app.

Why in hell would this be enabled by default? I'm just testing the kernel so I don't want to buy a $5 app just yet. At least not until I'm sure this is the kernel I want to use in the long run. So far this LED is my only complaint. I'll look into it. Thank you.

Both methods work perfectly.
However I still have one small query why does it automatically reset when the phone is restarted?

Everything in /sys reverts to kernel defaults at boot.
From this post:

Create an init.d script or download script manager or tasker to run that script on boot. Google that if you don't know how.

[Q] I think i messed up bad

Hello everyone this is my first post on this website i was trying to remove safe strap custom recovery because when i originally unrooted my phone i forgot to uninstall it and i was trying to re root it so that i can uninstall it but i think i messed up my phone really badly i tried to flash the rooted rom
1. Place the G870A_OA1_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM onto your ext-sdcard.
2. From Safestrap recovery press "Backup" and backup your User Data.
3. From the main menu press "Wipe" then perform an "Advanced Wipe" and wipe everything but your ext-sdcard.
4. Next, press "Install," then select and install the G870A_OA1_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM.
5. Once complete, press "Restore" and restore your User Data.
6. Last, from the main menu press "Reboot," then "System." Done!
with these instructions but i believe i messed something up as now my phone will not even turn back on am i beyond help?
when i flashed the rom it said that it had worked.
also the reason i did it this way was because odin was not working for me.
Try pulling the battery for a minute then see if you can get into download mode.

Does odin recognize the phone when you plug it into the computer?
Just to make sure, you have the S5 active correct?

Well unfortunately the rom you flashed for the g870a is for the active variant, not the g900a or regular s5.
The kernel and bootloader are incompatible between the two and this is likely caused a hard brick.

Been their before, it definitely sucks.
Not sure if this will be of any help, but someone in another thread did the same thing and was able to successfully unbrick.

I am trying to read through this but I can't find any instructions. I'm probably just not looking hard enough I'll have to look at this when I get home. I ordered some USB jigs worth a try I suppose.
