VWTECH? - One (M8) Accessories

Looking to get a maximum protection case for when I'm out on the trails. I thought I had it narrowed down to the Trident and the Poetic until I came across this one.
http://www.amazon.com/VWTECH-Shockp...sbs_cps_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=1MXDZ3RASM1ETV7AN305
Does anyone have any experience with it?
Thanks

If you use airplane mode when using that case or your trail is directly under a cell tower, go for it. If not, then aluminum cases degrade the piss out of signal and rape your battery trying to find or maintain a signal, or even worse attempting to transmit on zero or one bar.

Not to worried about bulk , I'm out and about in nature a lot and would really enjoy not having to worry as much about my brand new phone. Especially since I don't have any insurance for it!

This case must be hard to find. I had a 3 week old one i sold on ebay last week and it went for $41....the case was only $38 in stores. Its a really nice case. Feels really good in the hand. Not there yet. I've been looking and emailed case mate they said just keep looking. looking thanks
my 2 cents
Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in on this case. The protection is great and the side grips make the feel more solid as opposed to slippery. The extended rubber on the face helps when it is facedown or when it potentially drops so it's not flush against the floor/table. My only beef is that the kickstand rubber part has come loose so i'm not sure how durable that part is, it's not that much of a hassle as I can still manage to prop it up but I'm afraid it will eventually break off.
Most complaints are about the difficulty of getting the kickstand out
P.S. all ports are accessible i.e. stylus, charger, headphones, camera, speaker
Raised power & volume up/down buttons
Whats the matter with case makers these days? Release the case with just 2 colors, one is black the other is white with pink. Its exactly like body glove diamond series... ffs have they ever thought men uses with white case too? Why pink?? Could just use red and that would plays with well with both genders...
Nice looking case but have always had the rubber part warp on every case I had. Evo 4g, evo 3d, and the skyrocket. I ended up using the speck case for my note 2. Even if anything happens to it I can exchange it for free at the att store.

Metal Bumper with Screws

Looking to pick up a metal bumper but I don't want the kind that slide together. I purchased one of those from Ebay a few months ago and I wasn't very happy with it. Looking for something that is a little better quality. The Sweet Armor looked good but it is no longer available in black. Any suggestions?
The draco looks nice, but I can't find any one who has one with our phone for an opinion

first vid i found of it. the red one looks sick..but like all metal bumpers including this one - you will suffer one bar loss if not more depending on your signal strength in your area.

Yes it does, I just wish it wasn't $90.00.
I have a Thunder Gray Draco sitting in my mailbox. I'll get pics and do a review when I get home. When I had a Sweet Armor case on my S3 there was no signal loss. The Draco for some reason did drop one bar. Call quality and data connection wise, I didn't notice a difference. I'll check it and see what happens tonight.
iPhone 5 has their antennas all along the aluminum sides. When you put a aluminum bumper on top of that, you're doubling the interference.
Samsung phones are some type of polymer / plastic. Not as much interference. That's why Draco has cases that are half aluminum and half plastic for the iPhone. If there were really issues with reception interference, they would have switch the S3 cases to half and half as well.

I think the issue I had with it is that there is a cutout for the antenna that the Asian version of the phone has. If it didn't have that cutout, I would've gotten it.

Pouch for Verizon Lg g2.

I have been searching to know avail. I am looking for pouch that would fit my phone that I have a ballistic gel case for. I have always had Reiko pouches. I like the build quality and it needs to have a integrated clip or loops for belt. Has anyone been able to find such a thing. I am open to other brands. Thanks for any help.

I ended up buying a water bottle cover at walmart. I'll take a picture tomorrow if you're interested. It came with two loops and a climbing clasp. I just loop belt through biggest loop and gravity does the rest.
I looked at cases online too and am surprised these companies don't offer a 4x7 horizontal belt case. Saw things that almost might work but to be honest this bottle water holder, flimsy/thin as it is, is the best thing I've found. For $3.00

I do understand what you are looking for. There are plenty of those on ebay, all you need to know is the dimensions your phone with the case on it. You may even go to the local cell phone store, find a larger phone that matches the size of your phone with case, then look for a case that would fit that larger phone. I hope that makes sense. I have seen many of those Holster cases for less then 10 bucks.
I have done that. Best buy. Local verizon stores. cell phone accessory stores. Online. Nothing. My phone is the same size as the note 3 without a case. But they only have sleeves. I have emailed several manufacturers and they all have said they will not fit with a case I have. Gonna have to see if they come out with anything for note 3. As of right now there is nothing. If you have seen them. Throw me a link. I have done my homework. That is why I have posted here. That is how this forum works. If you can help I would appreciate it. If not thanks for reading post.

When I went to there site I was looking for something for the Lg. They didnt have anything that was definitely gonna fit. Just found some on eBay that had inside dimensions in descriptions. Finally. Order a few different ones to try. One for work which is a nylon version. We'll see when I get them. Thanks

Case, or no case?

Hey everyone. Just wanted some opinions on whether your going to put a case on this device or not? I am usually a case guy, but I think I'm going to find it hard to cover up such a gorgeous phone!! Also, do u use screen protectors on this device? Haven't used a protector for the last few phones I've had, GS4, LGG2.

I am having the same problem, too slippery for me to feel comfortable without a case. I also have big hands, so it is a little small for me to hold comfortably without a case. I also find I really miss the kickstand that my previous two phones had, so I am thinking about getting one of the cases that include a kickstand.
I always advocate playing safe cell phone, so I wrap it up. However, with my M7, I will take it out of the case while at work because our floors are carpeted.
One thing though: I'm waiting for the silver M8 to come out on Sprint before upgrading because self-proclaimed "careful" people in the unlocked One forum are reporting scratches on the gold and gray versions. The stock silver One has no coating to scratch.

Didn't HTC say they would replace a broken screen for free within the first 6 months too?
I never had a case on my M7, but I went through 4 of them for different malfuctions, and each one wound up having a dented corner or scratched up grill. So considering this one is even heavier, I know the damage will be worse.

What case to buy?

I was wondering if someone who has had a chance to use these cases in the real world, what would you recommend?
I work in construction (often from rooftops and ladders from which my OG EVO had its demise) and I need a case that can give my M8 a decent chance at survival.
However I also don't wish to sacrifice functionality.
I owned an otterbox Defender for my EVO LTE, but dragging down the status bar was a huge pain, and the screen protector was so scratched that I removed it and simply added a film cover.
So, anyone got any good ideas?

Well I grabbed a defender for my m8, it seems more streamlined than the evo lte version, I can tell you that you won't have a problem dragging the status bar though.
I always kick out the built-in protectors, imo they end up doing more harm than good in the long run.

I've had stuff get in my case (results of my lte living in my toolbelt lol) and never had the screen actually get scratched. A miracle imo.
Would you say the otterbox Defender is the best? And how bulky and how easy is it to remove? It will get banged up so I tend to use something else on the weekends. Been actually thinking about trying the Commuter or UAG this time.

Well i originally went into the store to repair my cracked screen for my EvoLTE and insurance cost $100 for replacement... Well needless to say I got angry about the THREE replacement phones in 5 days and the store manager hooked me up with some major discounts including a zero downpayment on my M8 a commuter series case MSRP $39.98 here All i had to pay was sales tax on the phone $34.99, and $2.09 sales tax on case... So really i lost like $10 but its a win win for me in my eyes... I also traded in my EvoLTe got $25 out of it... Hence the reason i got the huge discounts...
So i just got lucky on a $2 case...i think they coded it as the cheapest case they could aswell... Just ask them if there is any kind of discounts they can give doesnt hurt to ask!

I work in construction. A lot of times I'm a roofer. And most days I have my phone (not this one til I find the right case lol) in a pouch in my toolbelt hanging out with nails, prybars, and other items that would love to beat the crap outta my m8.
My og evo took it's demise from a slide down a roof, teetered on a gutter, then a quadruple backflip to the cement about 20 feet down with nothing but a plastic $10 case.
Since then I've had Defender cases. haven't had that happen again, but I hate how bulky it is. And the shield is almost worthless to me after a week on the job it's completely scratched up and the holster is too much trouble clipping on and off while working in the real world.
Anyway I appreciate your help but I'm I'd really like to know if anyone had something they thought was as durable and possibly less bulky.

Not if your in construction or any similar conditions.
I have a case mate naked tough which provides as much protection as the commuter I recently returned but looks much nicer.
I've considered the defender because I too work in industrial construction and my M8 is exposed to dust and dirt and a lot of adverse conditions..
I'd really like a lifeproof style option (waterproof , more importantly dustproof, and still stylish).
I'm the guy you want to here from. I work with at&t and am up and down poles and on the occasional rooftop as well. Suffice to say I can beat up my devices too.......plus I'm a case fanatic. I have a UAG, a Defender, and the Incipio Dual being sold by Verizon. Those are my 3 toughest cases as I also have the SUPCase with frosted back and the clear KaysCase.
It sounds like you need the Defender. It offers hands down the best protection of all my cases and is much more streamlined than previous Defender cases. Its just slightly bulkier than the UAG but has the added holster you can keep it in with the screen covered in your tool belt.
