ps. I searched in forum and google before this and it didn't help either.
As in speed wise? I tested it all and I wanted to know peoples opinion. I have adaway and don't need no adblocker extension for browser. I tried doing the tests for each browser but it didn't actually help. And this is in speed and without lag. I noticed ever since I switched to Android I sense browser lag on sites like yahoo gizmodo engadget (loading comments) etc etc. Opinions?
Well my browser is ; Cm brower and i love it! Really fast and can custamiz a lot! Give it a try

Dolphin Browser for me.
Sent from my XT1052 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Chrome seems perfect for me. Allows me to send pages to and from my Desktop PC and syncs my bookmarks.
Chrome is good, is there a way to use it in full screen mode?
Puffins
Chrome Beta
Dolphin. You can set a home page, flash video works, touching a link automatically opens it in a new tab, pinch/zoom reflows the text to fit the screen (no scrolling from side-to-side, but not active on all sites).
Opera browser is the best for me with UC browser being a close second.
I won't use a mobile browser without good text reflow.
I found Firefox to have the best fluidity with vertical scrolling.
I use Naked Browser Pro. It's fast, has great features, and no bloat.
Boat Browser HD. Great at padding out useless spaces in pages. Also allows full xda editing/uploading.

+1 for Boat, free and simple good browser. id give dolphin a good rating if theyed stop changing where things are.. just to change... no need for that.. as bad as the gmail app.. some dipchit feels the need to change things just to change them... stupid.

i'm surprised people are using FF. the ONLY reason i installed FF was for Flash compatibility and even then it crashed more times than ran.
Chrome Beta for me. It's the closest to a desktop experience, plus the "tracking" between all of my devices is what's important to me. being able to pick up a site from a different device, open closed tabs from a different device, etc.
Maxthon HD is my favorite but on 444 it is too buggy. Boat HD comes closest.

It has extensive but well designed gesture customizations -in the paid version only- that not even Dolphin has (NCI).
Is dolphin the only browser with flash working properly in KitKat still?
I was a Naked Pro user too, but now it does not support Flash any more So switched to Opera, it isn't bad.
But the scrolling performance of Firefox is unmatched, the only thing keeping me from using it is a weird problem actually, whenever I comment something on GSMArena blog page, when I hit enter on my Swype keyboard it doesn't add a line, but just keeps adding a space instead of adding a line! Weird! It could be the Swype keyboard rather than Firefox itself, still. Maybe other keyboards work fine, but there's no point in trying as I'll never use another keyboard other than Swype. Wish it worked, really like the browser.

nice find! Thanks!
Yes its a very nice program been using it for a min! My twitter s/n is TheRealHotshot if anyone wanna follow me :-D
Yeah, have been using this for a while and it's great. Developer is great at addressing issues as well.
Does this use text message or data?
data
of course it's use data, but there's a way to get notified from twetter by sms or instant messaging
AWESOME, really im a twitter addicted and i hav almost all twitter's app on my raph, and bang THE one comes from u thanks a million times!
I'm trying it. Add me on twitter, thespazz!
Wow!! This is a great app!!
hellz yeah. this is hot
Nice. I'll give it a go
Thought I'd bump this.
Also want to concur. . I LOVE this app. Very nicely done!
I am using twikini at the moment but will give this a try.
The automatic updates are great. I've used other apps since but PockeTwit is the best IMO
Great app...
I've been liking PocketTwit for a little while now. The only complaint I have about it is that it can be a little slow from time to time, but other than that, it's great.
I really like the interface, it's clean, well designed, and easy to use. However, I find myself using the soft buttons more than my finger to slide left and right. If I slide up or down while moving left and right, I end up either not moving to the menu and the screen snaps back to the feeds or I end up clicking the wrong menu on accident.
i have been using twikini i think its called. works great
pocketwit def uses data an not sms when using it from the phone?? this was something i was concerned about only cause i dont have an unlimited sms plan an dont want to get screwed lol....but yea this app is def hands down the best by far an have been using only this!!!
Fantastic app. Love the UI. Finallly, I can stop going to my iPod for twitter
errors with 3.7 net
im guessing it not compatible with net 3.7 .... i tried this on a different rom running 3.5 and it looks and works great nice app. I tried with energy rom(phenixs) and no luck
very user-friendly... have been using it for quite some time now... anyone who has twitter should have this program...
My opinion
My opinion is very short, but directly: Google Wave in my opinion is the future.
The Future
I think that in the future, Google Wave will be like a email today. More, it will be the email and this is going to be more visible when the Beta period ends.
Friendly?
As the most part of the newest web applications, Google Wave have a very friendly GUI, it's very nice to attract the attentions of the users , take a look and think if this can't attract you to see more

All In One
One of the things that I've liked more in Google Wave was that it's a All-In-One suit, there you can send waves(like emails) and do like a chat with they, then in my opinion, this is very useful. Also, the embeddable of videos and this plugins is a very good idea.
Cons
The only thing that I can label as bad is the performance. It takes much time to start, organize, display your waves and contacts, also if there is a video embedded on a wave, you will see that the site will be more unstable.
Also, it isn't working on Opera(as orb3000 said).
Developer Side
I think that Google Wave was the tool that the developer like me most need, because I was testing it as a project manager, like this: I send a wave for my developoment friend that I need to add a new feature on my application, then we started to communicate by waves of the development parts(step-by-step) and about the new uploaads(Git).
At All
At all I can just say one thing for you: Use Google Wave and enjoy
Yes it can become a powerfull tool in the future.
Cons:
Not working on Opera
It isn't working on Opera?
I think is because of Chrome Frame
What browsers and platforms are compatible with Google Wave?
Print
Google Wave works on Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms. Supported browsers include:
Google Chrome
Safari
Firefox 3.5
If you'd like to use Google Wave with Internet Explorer, you can install the Chrome Frame plug-in.
http://www.google.com/support/wave/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=162257
--------------------------
By now I´m using it on Crhome in the meanetime they got fixed for Opera, then I´ll uninstall chrome
I hate to have to use more than one browser...
Huh, this is very bad
Opera is out of the platforms.
Just for now...
Yeah!
I hope...
Me too......
They better fix it for Opera. I'm currently using it for work.
So when working I currently need Opera for working, FF for testing and Chrome for Wave running. May not seem like too much of an issue, but throw in DW PS and an XP VM and RAM starts to dwindle, one less browser...
Thanks very much for your comment
Name: Speed Searcher
DESCRIPTION:
Speed Searcher significantly cuts down the time it takes to search the web. With an efficient shortcut method, you can be searching Google, YouTube, Wikipedia (and others) in just a few taps.
Want to search Wikipedia quickly? Instead of opening up Internet Explorer, typing www.wikipedia.org, waiting for the page to load and then searching, simply fire up Speed Searcher and type ‘w’ followed by your query. Easy – and fast!
Speed Searcher also does more. The ‘Quick Query’ section allows you to increase your productivity by retrieving information in just a few short taps. For example, want to know the time anywhere in the world? Simply enter the name of a place and Speed Searcher will show you the time. Other ‘Quick Queries’ include the ability to convert from one unit to another, a dictionary and the current weather anywhere in the world.
Speed Searcher is a great time saving app.By downloading now, you can get involved and suggest features you’d like to see in future versions.

Like the app I prefer typing the search term and tapping the search engine. This seems more intuitive than typing a "g" or "yt" before the search term. With that in mind, it might be more attractive to have icons for the various search engines, rather than the plain text. Is it possible to return the results within the app, rather than open an external webpage?
It might be more convenient to have the quick search available as a flick to the side.
I'm not loving the icon. Seems a little 90's-ish, not very metro.
Nice app though. I pinned it. Thanks for posting here in xda. Looking forward to any improvements or updates.
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad you like it
I like the icons idea and will consider putting in an update. Returning results within the app would be a bit tricky because of the API limits some sites have. However, if you mean getting the results in an embedded browser like that in the 'Quick Query' section, then that's possible. I'm thinking of implementing that in the 'pro' version as an option.
I'll look into having the 'quick query' section being reached via a flick instead of the button. I wasn't sure if people would want a 'pivot' like aspect (since the 'quick query' itself slides to a different pivot page with the answer), but I'm up for toying around with the idea.
The icon was a bit of a last minute thing
Thanks again, this is awesome feedback. The pro version is still in early dev, so I'm taking all of this into account.
Yeah, embedded browser for the results, maybe with an option to open externally. Maybe three pivots, the engine search page, your quick query page, and the results page?
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
The reason I would prefer the embedded browser is then I can quickly look at what google brings back, pivot over and click Bing and see what it gives me

That makes sense (and is certainly possible). Great idea
Can't find this information on forum. Is it possible to have IE open in fullscreen (hide bottom bar with address and button)?
I am trying to work with a specific website which works great, but need just few more pixels to fit perfectly.
Anyone? It seems really bad. Some websites are showing as if my screen is 300x200 pixels, I can't zoom out, I can't hide browser bar, it's simply unusable. Is that some DPI setting? Are there any setting in windows phone you can change?
Seriously there's no way to hide URL bar in mobile browser? There's fullscreen view in every browser on my 27" monitor but I have to always see this bar in 4" small mobile screen?
You can't hide the bottom bar.
Concerning the inability to zoom out - that is something that some pages define using CSS in their mobile views. It might be worth it to try loading the page with the browser set to use the Desktop view. In the end many web developers do a terrible job in supporting mobile IE (which most likely still is because they have been hating IE6 for a long time).

Again, use UC Browser....
How is uc browser compared with say chrome on iOS or android?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I don't have any experience with Chrome on iOS and although I do use Chrome on ICS, I prefer Boat or Dolphin.
Still, It's better to compare it to a mixture of Opera Mini and Opera mobile. There's a lot more features in UC Browser than IE (full screen, bookmark management and sync, orientation lock) and there are some features to help data usage on slower connections (like Opera Mini). Without using benchmarks, browsing is smooth, the launcher page is nice and the password saving is available should you want it. I wish that they would figure out a way to add flash (because there are apps to view flash videos on WP 7 and WP8) since I know that IE 10 wont.
Chrome in my opinion is a little clunky if you're not running it on a Nexus class device. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that it doesn't run background music and it doesn't run under lock, two things IE DOES do.
Well I was trying out IE on an 8X on WiFi today and it seemed to load pages faster than my nexus 7. But then i was only loading a page at a time but still it seems smoother and faster.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
IE actually has a really good rendering engine. It does not support some features that are in Webkit (most of those are in experimental status though - but that has never kept Web Devs from using them anyway) but it is quite fast.
What is somewhat limited in the view of many is the functionality surfaced through it's UI. There are alternative browsers in the Marketplace that use IEs engine and add some UI enhancements along the way. For me personally the regular UI is good enough.

Well said. I bounce between IE, UC and other apps that run flash for my needs but that may not be ideal for everyone.
Can anyone tell me if they have the s21 Ultra 5g and is not on Vodafone if you get the option to "Search google for image" in Chrome. Also, is anyone on Vodafone and can use the feature?
I had it on my note 10 but I cant get it on the s21 no matter what I try.

i don't have it on my s21ultra but i have it on my iphone!!
I've discovered that if I factory reset it and remove the sim and then not connect it to wifi it seems to have it. But when I restore any data it seems to go away again.
Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.ar.lens and it will give you the option to search via google lens. which is the same pretty much.
In my chrome browser running on s21 ultra, holding my finger on a picture pops up the options list, including "Search image with Google Lens (New)"
I'm guessing it's a feature that Chrome browser just added recently? Try updating your Chrome browser version?
I'm running Android Chrome version 97.0.4692.87

Google done that integration recently and you can disable that in the chrome flags if you want to, when you disable the lens feature it defaults to the "Search google for Image" feature

not the case I'm afraid, its a pain because when I change the search engine to bing it gives me the option to search bing for the image. I think vodafone must be manipulating the google search somehow
I've always been able to through Google lense, I've never tried through the browser, I always just save the image quick, use lense, and delete it later. Never thought to try in the browser because in usually using it for part numbers and wierd random stuff I find
