UK HTC One M7, stuck on EDGE on Rogers Canada - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I have came to Canada and brought my UK HTC One M7 international factory unlocked phone with me. I expect it to work but I'm having issues.
I only seem to be able to access EDGE even though I am in an area that clearly supports HSPA+.
I have installed custom roms in the past so I'm wondering if I have somehow messed with the radio etc
Does anyone have any ideas that may help me?

Depending on your S-OFF/S-ON status, and willingness to lose data on your phone, you can convert to a US Dev edition.. which will give you correct radios.

Soff will be first requirement.
I can't promise any result but worth a shot if you are stuck

[Q] where is htc one factory shipped rom?

Hi,
Another noob question from me.
I recently bought a HTC One. I uploaded a custom ROM (was silly and didn't backup properly). I'd like to have the ability to restore the phone to a complete factory reset. I want the same, exact HTC ROM that the phone originally shipped with, and also no ***TAMPERED***, ***UNLOCKED***. I'll worry about the tampered and unlocked later (locking should be easy - but i want ***LOCKED*** not ***RELOCKED***).
My phone's info:
M7_U PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.44.0000
RADIO-4A.14.3250.13
OpenDSP-v26.120.274.0202
eMMC-boot
Mar 15 2013,22:11:42:-1
I keep on running into deadends thinking I've found the factory stock ROM, but when I try to install it, I get errors like 'could not install'...
At some point I relocked the phone and the install went further, but eventually failed with a 'wrong model' error or something. Based on the model info above of my phone can someone point me in the right direction to find the correct ROM?
Thanks so much. I hope soon to be just as much of a contributor as I am an asker...
First of all you cannot get it to state locked it will always say relocked until a s-off is achieved where you will be able to downgrade hboot and second of all download the app below and post the results.

Thanks...downloaded. A long list of variables with no cut'n'paste...but here is maybe the relevant info:
ro.boot.carrier HTC-Asia-SEA-WWE
ro.boot.cid HTC__044
ro.boot.mid PN0711000
ro.cm.device m7
ro.product.module HTC One
ro.product.name htc_m7
Any other details I can provide?
I think this original RUU should suffice.

not if you want the sprint htc one to continue working and i'm sure if you hex diff the hboots their not the same, and i'm pretty sure it will brick your phone flashing att radios to a sprint phone(cdma vs gsm)
so in short no you can't flash a att ruu to a sprint phone

You should really look into updating your software, since the m7 is on 4.4.2 officially now
Anyways, flash the oldest radio from here (the initial release one, baseband 1.00.20.0315), and that might fix your issue.

I tried to update OTA but since I have a custom recovery it just reset to recovery and that's it? Can you recommend me a good one for me? Thank You very much for your help

OK, since you have a custom recovery with stock,
a) it's pretty much better to be on a custom ROM since you can update easier.
b) If you want to be on stock, it's best to back everything up and run a RUU.
If you choose option a), flash this recovery, and install a custom ROM such as ViperOne.
If you choose option b), follow the instructions on this thread.

[Q] HTC M7 sense 5.0 Android 4.1.2 NOT getting OTA Updates

Hi everybody, this is my first question here, hoping you can find the time to help me out.
I recently returned my M7 to stock, using htc1guru's guides and I am now back to stock sense, with stock recovery, locked, S-ON and no tampered flag.
I used this RUU file from the site
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.1_Radio_4A.13.3227.06_10.27.1127.01_release_308001_signed_2_4
So i'm now back to Sense 5.0 and Android Jellybean 4.1.2
But my problem is i'm not getting any OTA updates, not even the one for sense 5.5.
This is what my Bootloader screen looks like:
Locked
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.43.0000
RADIO-4A.13.3227.06
OpenDSP-v26.120.274.0202
eMMC-boot
I really can't think of a solution to the problem, so I was wondering if anybody in here has a solution or atleast a reason for the lack of OTA updates?
Any comments or help are appreciated :good::good:

Hey man, really sorry to keep bothering you, as I feel like it's getting a bit ridiculous.
But I got a bunch of updates after using the other RUU, many thanks for linking that btw, but now i'm not getting anymore updates past sense 5.5, and to my knowledge most HTC m7's got the sense 6 update May 2014.
So I was thinking if you know what the problem is this time around? Should I just wait a few days for the phone to catch up or have I done something wrong?
The bootloader looks like this:
Locked
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-4A.21.3263.04
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909

eMMC-boot 2048MB
the firmware number is:
3.62.401.1
Jellybean 4.3
Sense 5.5

not sure why the updates stopped. But if your goal was to return the phone for servicing it's safe to send it as it is now

Well one of two goals was to send it back for servicing, second goal was just to use with stock for a while until i get thirsty for more custom Roms again. But I guess i'll just send it in, and maybe see if they update it for me.
Either way thanks a lot for the help, it's greatly appreciated:good::good:

[Q] Install T-mobile RUU on Verizon HTC one M7

I have the Verizon version of the HTC Once M7 and would like to get it fully compatible with T-mobile. Here's what the last few hours of research and reading through these forums has led me to believe. Can anyone verify if my understanding is correct? Or am I missing something?
All HTC One M7 phones have the same hardware, so there's no hardware limitation causing network incompatibility, rather carrier incompatibility is due to firmware/sofware.
To be able install the T-mobile RUU (htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news) on a Verizon version of the HTC One M7, I need to s-off the phone using sunshine (theroot.ninja/index.html)
To install the T-mobile RUU, I should follow the instructions on htc's website (htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news)
To be thorough, here's the details of the phone I have:
HTC One M7:
M7_WLV PVT SHIP S-ON FR
HBOOT-1.57.000
RADIO-1.13.41.0702
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-5.28.605.2
eMMC-boot 2048MB
And the name of the RUU that I'd like to install:
RUU_M7_UL_K443_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_6.10.531.10_Radio_4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L_release_405711_signed_2
Thanks! Just want to make sure I have everything thought out before I begin.
