I use the app "NILS" to wake the phone on incoming notifications. but as soon as the phone is woken up, the display stays on and shows the lockscreen for at least 10 seconds.
I set NILS to keep the screen on for 1 sec, but it doesn't seem to be nils' decision.
So my question is: is there is a mod that controls how long your phone stays awake when woken up?
to clearify: I do NOT talk about the normal wake status when the phone is unlocked but not used.

Hi guys, what it could be if I snooze the reminder many many times, in the end it comes up actually even nor showing neither sounding in any way (but I know it is this particular reminder is going off) resulting in firing up the backlight which stays on forever. After it I can't turn the phone off, it just doesn't respond to the power button press. The only way out is reset. After reset that reminder is showing up with sound and all on-screen notifications as it supposed to, leaving <blank entry> in the notification queue.
Really no thoughts at all?
Hi! I'm back with kaiser and have a question. When you calling someone and listening to long tones waiting for answer screen is not locked. You can manually push power button to turn screen off, but it is not very handy. Is there an app to lock and turn off screen (=sleep) RIGHT after you pressed green button and dialer start dialing and connecting? I'm asking because fast sleep during call only activates after connection has been made...
you actually want a different dialer.. Check out the dialer used on the ROM I run, it had a slider function...
hi i recently got the samsung captivate and i really like this phone except for the "low battery" warning which when in SILENT mode vibrates for like 2 seconds and screen comes on. this is ridiculous as it wastes the battery of the phone even more for the screen + vibration. i had this happen on an older samsung phone i had SGH-E870. SILENT sound profile means SILENT!! does anyone know how i can stop this from happening?
thanks in advance for any help.

Is your vibrate set to only vibrate in silent mode?
It's under settings for Sound> Vibrate
Sent from my Captivate
ill check but im pretty sure i have only seletected SILENT. the phone hasnt made a peep or vibrate for 4 hours except for this low battery vibration with screen coming on. ill check tho.
thanks
i looked under sounds and display there is no options to adjust vibrate. i have it set to SILENT. but when low batt comes on it vibrates with message of low batt displayed on screen.
Looks like a job for tasker.
Have you had any luck with this issue??

Ever since Lollipop I have been frustrated with the lack of ability to turn off the phone's vibrate easily. I used to just set my phone to silent mode all the time (in fact, all day at work). Now my phone is probably louder than it would be otherwise simply because it's vibrating my whole freaking desk every time a notification comes across. I tried using tasker to just lower the volumes but you still can't turn off the vibrate. How in the world can I get this phone to simply show the notifications on the screen (or my Moto 360) without sound and without vibrating?
Also just to add, if I set my priority to None, it will be silent and still show the notifications on the screen, but then they won't show on my Moto 360. Ugh.
For 360-only notifications: Android Wear app -> Settings -> Mute phone alerts & calls
This way, your phone will be silent and your 360 will function as normal. However, this won't stop your 360 from vibrating.
I set my Note 8 to start the Do Not Disturb function from 12 midnight to 7am in the morning. I receive no notification sound on time but the problem is even after 7am, there is no sound whatsoever, even when I turn on TuneIn, etc.. I check the setting and the function is Off after the scheduled time. I need to restart the phone in order to have it back to normal. Does anyone has the same problem? Is it a bug?
