Thanks for the link playful. Got a question though. I did the three wipe method (dalvik, cache, and system) like you said and flashed the cm11 both downloads I download numerous times ,I thought maybe I got a bad download. And both downloads every time I flash comes up "failed" I'm on 4.2.2 rooted with twrp installed. I reran your freedom apk to make sure the f340 aboot was installed. And still nothing. About 10 sec after the "updating partitions" line comes up it pops up in twrp "failed". Any suggestions? Hints?

Your instructions I see don't actually say to wipe system does that make a difference? And also your instructions describe the cwm recovery options. Should I be using cwm instead?

Twrp doesn't like 4.3 and higher. Don't have a clue why. Cwm Will do the trick. Which is a bummer for me because I really prefer twrp.

Nexus 4 Stock Recovery Flasher v0.6
Have you ever get into a situation where you have a custom recovery on a stock rom and then get a OTA update then you find out that you need to flash the stock recovery to flash?, well this Nexus 4 Stock Recovery Flasher will sort it all out.
DISCLAMER: I am not responsible for ANY damage to your device what so ever, if your device flies away then that is not my problem.
NOTICE: This will flash the Android 4.3 and above stock recovery so if you have issues with the recovery just by having anything that is suppose to be running on Android 4.2.2 or below then that is your problem, it is possible to get the Android 4.2.2 recovery but it is pointless really since Android 4.3 is the latest version.
Also, PLEASE make sure you flash the recovery which is intended for that Android version so for example 4.3 recovery for 4.3 and 4.4 recovery for 4.4.x.
Be sure to donate to me if I really helped you.
Starts from Android 4.3 Stock Recovery
Windows, Linux and CASUAL Version is available.

Minitools:
Version 0.1: Initial Release
Version 0.2: Fixed Echo commands and added a command that I forgot to add. [Last 4.3]
Version 0.3: 4.4 KitKat recovery added (Replaces 4.3 Recovery)
Flashable Zip:
Version 0.1: Initial Release
Version 0.2: Unknown, I forgot to add that "minor" incremental changelog ages ago. :S
Version 0.3: Now works in all recoveries thanks to Flintburg. [Last 4.3]
Version 0.4: 4.4 KitKat recovery added (replaces 4.3 Recovery)
CASUAL:
Version 0.2: Initial Release (based on the minitool).
Version 0.3: Added banner.
Version 0.4: Fixed commands, this will fix the execution issues so I would upgrade unless you want to have a broken version, turns out that the CASUAL I am currently using is missing Fastboot, I will look at this and try fixing it in a certain future version.
This will set a new requirement which is to have a custom recovery as it is the only way to replace the recovery that way (this uses the Flashable zip since there are no other methods), it will remain like this until CASUAL supports Fastboot.
Version 0.5: Added the latest Flashable Zip (as of this date which is v0.3), should work in all recoveries now.
Version 0.6: 4.4 KitKat recovery added
What features/files does the minitool contain?, well...:
The Stock Recovery Flasher (obviously), batch file updater to update the file itself so you don't need to waste your time downloading the file again as an update, ADB files, Fastboot, wget for Windows to download the file which is required for the updater and of course the stock Android recovery.
If you want I can give you the Android 4.2.2 recovery.img image for the tool.
The updater was introduced from the Soft-Brick Recovery Project for the LG GT540 which I created myself.
Anyway post your results below so I know if it works or anything like that.
By the way in case you where wondering why all the files are in one place its because that I cannot find out a CMD command to move a file back one directory for the updater, if I do my method then it has to be in a certain directory so unfortunately that's how it is going to be until I find out the command.

Hey andyanc keep up the good work. I have a suggestion though. I'm not sure if the recovery has changed since the initial 4.3 release for the Nexus 4 but if it has, I suggest you note in the OP which version of the recovery is included in your tools. Cheers!
Note: I've posted a flashable factory image and radio posted by Imparticus in the Stock Kitkat thread over the Nexus 4 development section.
Hey everyone, I've seen people post instructions on where to download the 4.4 update for the Nexus 4 but I haven't seen anyone post the .zip version of it yet.

Go for it. Seriously, flashing the images takes about three minutes or so and it's safer. Just remember to boot to recovery afterwards to do a factory reset and wipe cache to prevent a bootloop (this will wipe your storage so make a backup first).
For both zip files that have come up tonight I can't flash them, ended up just flashing back to my CM 10.2 nightly. Just gives the same error.

This is like a three part question. But first never flash any ROM without backing up all your installed apps data. Unless you don't care about data loss. So basically the ota is a new ROM. Yes it will erase your data. However it won't touch the data on your sdcard. Only the ROM data. Such partitions of /data, /system, & /cache. You would need to reflash gapps as a
cm ota wont have gapps preinstalled. Also you would need to make sure you have the latest recovery. Some 4.4 ROMs don't flash properly without the correct recovery.

I wouldn't use any of the unofficial CM 11 builds if you need to use GPS. It was all over the place so I went back to 10.2 official. There isn't much to be excited about in 4.4 anyway. I didn't notice much of a difference.

Specifically, this is a port of the d800 version where I changed some things around just to get it to flash. The real heavy lifting is done by dr87's awesome vs980 patch from the also awesome mahdi ROM thread. So go thank him, savoca, (for furnace kernel) and ryuinferno (the mokee g2 maintainer) for all their work for our community. Also I'm no dev so I obviously can't provide support or what not, and don't crowd up the devs threads with support questions as they don't support our phone. so basically this is provided as is. Also if anyone wants a different ROM ported to the vs980 just pm me and I'll give it a shot. Anyways on to the deets.
Install instructions:
wipe everything. system, cache, dalvik and data 3x
Flash ROM.
Flash gapps (optional)
Flash vs980 patch
Flash vs980 kernel (I used furnace kernel. Also idk if this is necessary but I did it just to be safe.)edit: it is required for odex builds
Profit.
Bugs: for now it says d800, I may fix it next time but it doesn't hurt nothing. (fixed i think someone wanna confirm?)
Do not use the in ROM ota update.
It says tcdma 64
If you have rotation issues download the fix from my drive then boot to recovery and flash the fix then reflash your kernel of choice (credit tangjun269)
What ever bugs mokee has
Other?
Download link: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B0lbyXDReetfSVh5MFA2M3RyMGs/edit
Might be missing something, but I don't see the ROM? Unless its probam?

I used the pa modular mini zip although u can use any u like. but fyi this ROM doesn't have trds so slim gapps are kinda pointless
Oh if anyone has the bug where after your done w a call and pull it from your ear the screen won't turn back on this ROM has a setting in display that will turn the screen on when the phone hangs up. It actually works decently well, idk why every aosp ROM doesn't have that feature cuz so many of em have that bug on the g2

It was fine for me, did u come to mokee from one of the flex roms? I no i had issues w rotation after coming from rayglobe when i was on twrp. I think it may have something to do with twrp not wiping completely, u may wanna try phillz then if u still have it try flashing a different vs980 aosp rom then wipe n flash mokee again

All I did is to take a d802 build, unzip it, change out the boot IMG to your model, edit the updater script and build prop to include your model number then rezip so it'll flash correctly, then download your device specific patch from one of dr87's ROM threads, then flash the ROM, gapps, the patch, then your kernel of choice. The patch that dr87 made is really just a script that injects all the variant specific stuff into the ROM so u can fairly easily just include it yourself but the script works well so I didn't bother.
Landscape Hell
I installed this last night and I was really liking it BUT every app/new window I opened was in landscape mode .... the home screen was the only thing that remained in proper portrait mode ... even the MK set-upo screen is in landscape ... I could not find a way to stop this annoying feature so I bailed on it .... if the screen orientation would just behave properly, I would be much happier to try it as a DD but constant landscape mode sucks BIG TIME .... any one, any one ???

Hi all
Simple question. Can I do it directly by formating every partition and then install cm9 or I have to get into download mode.

first of all the roms from cyanogen mod is provided as installable zip
not a odin package
if you are on kitkat thats not a matter.
then you can use philz touch or twrp to make a full wipe
and install the cm9 downloaded package

Sorry for my misleading. By using oding I was just referring to the fact of going back to gingerbread original ROM and also doing a /512 partition.
I need to know of someone has done it successfuly. My home button is not working any more so it is not easy to get into download mod if I brick the i9000.
BTW... Best phone ever. I've changed 2 girlfriends but this phone is still with me

I've been back and fourth between 4.4 4.3 4.2 etc.. I do full wipes including system and flash an official cm package like cm9 reboot recovery flash cm again to be sure. Full wipes again then flash whatever ROM I want. I always flash official cm before flashing another another ROM to adjust partition table.

+1000!
I've just fixed the motherboard of my old S1 and started using it again after using a HTC One mini for 8 months. The phone was a piece of crap and so are HTC! They have me a HTC One M7 for my troubles but was too little to late. Samsung forever!
In time I may upgrade to the S2 for the extra ram, but I'll be sticking with my trusty S1 till then.
