Headset issues - Verizon LG G2

When I plug my headset in, my phone starts glitching out like crazy. Voice commands, headset in and out start going off... Anyone had headset issues?

Thanks guys. I knew you would be helpful

I had this happen. It was a hardware problem. I had to get the phone replaced. I did a lot of running and listening to music, so I don't know if the jiggling around in my pocket with the headset plugged in caused it. I use bluetooth headphones when I run now. I still use the physical connection in my car and haven't had any problems on the new phone.

headphones have loose connection

Hi,
my headphones have a loose connection. When I listen to music sometimes I only hear music on the left or right speaker, sometimes on both, and sometimes I don't hear anything. Maybe its caused by my docking station as I plug in my phone a lot? Do you have any idea how I can fix it? Or do I have to send my phone to htc?
THX for your answers.
thats good your not the only with that problem because i have it too
hope someone finds a solution xD
I still have not found a solution. When I plug in my headset I pull it back just a little. That seems to help bit but it does not solve the problem. My docking station and charging cable just work fine. It's only my headset...

3.5mm Jack Causing Music to Skip.

Hey,
I'm having the same problem as a lot of the people in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-625731.html
..where any movement of the plug (headphones, 3.5 jack to jack cable in the car, pc speakers - but not the stock 'phones) causes random skipping of any music that I'm playing. I literally can't use the headphone socket unless I use the the in-ears that came with the phone.
Did this ever get resolved? Anyone still having the same issue?
It's bugging me that I can't listen to the music on my phone in the car...

Wow, I thought I was the only one! It used to happen to me all the time on CM 5.0.8, and CM 6 RC1...It's a wierd bug, as I didn't even know what was causing it at first, then once I found the issue, I couldn't replicate it.
I haven't had this issue in a while, however...Try out one of the CyanogenMod nightlies or RC3, see if that solves your problem.
Try 'Headset Blocker' by Roadkill in the market. It intercepts the headphone control signals.
@wdfowty: I'm using CM 6RC3. Its done it on every rom I've used.
@-dlee: I'll try it, thanks.
Lame, sorry to hear that. I hope that app works for you, post back if it does!
Second the reply to Headset Blocker. Drove me nuts until I installed that.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Most probably it's your headset connector having bad contacts, resulting in it being sensitive and reacting to very small plug movements with connect/disconnect of the "control" connector (which is shorted to ground when you plug a regular headphone jack).
Yep, Headset Blocker worked perfectly.
Thanks -dlee..

[Q] Wired headset mic fix?

Ok, I started using the newest Axura, and I love basically everything about it, but I don't like how I have to unplug my headset to take a call, then plug it back in to listen to music. Is there a way to get the headset fix from other ROM's to work on this, or did I just do something wrong? I tried my best with searching, but couldn't find anything but other people having the same (similar?) issue. Thanks guys!

[Q] Music plays when headphones are unplugged even when no music is playing

Anyone have any ideas why this happens. I could be getting off a call and unplug my phone and all of a sudden winamp starts up and starts playing music over the speaker.

Do your headphones have an inline mic? I have a pair of old, crappy headphones that do this because the wires are semi-exposed and it triggers the signal for pressing the inline mic button when I pull them out. I haven't found a fix for it unfortunately. You may be able to make a Tasker profile that automatically stops media playback when headphones are unplugged as a workaround.
Sounds about right. My headphones are a bit messed up and I wrote something for tasker to take care of this for me. That's probably it.
I'll have to check with my other headphones.
Thanks

The worst is when I'm at work and someone comes into my office and I unplug and it's epic trance blasting at them.

[Q] Headphone Jack Not Working!

So I decided to use my headphones today for the first time and the sound is distorted and Google now would automatically start every ten seconds! Anyone else having this issue? I used my headphones on my laptop with no problems. This really blows.

I didn't have this exact problem. I did get the google now thing a lot. And only some times. Like some days it wouldn't happen at all and others it wouldn't stop. I also have been having a problem with if I kneel/bend my body to much it'll shut the music off.

Clear the dust of headphone jack and give it a try and also give it a look that if the headphone is plugged in properly or not. I mean if it's Completely inserted or not
I have a similar problem. When using the headphone jack i just receive sound on one channel, the other one is mute. The only way to receive sound on both channel is to force the headphone plug to the left
