Good day all,
I have a HTC One M7_UL stuck in HBOOT and cannot enter fastboot or recovery. The vol down and power buttons are not responding so I cannot enter any other mode when it gets stuck in HBOOT. I can only move down by using the vol up button (strange), but cannot press power to enter any of those modes. When I try to reboot by pressing vol down and power, the back and home navigation buttons start to flash and the phone goes straight to HBOOT again. Can anyone offer some help with this? I appreciate.

I was flashing my One today with a custom kernel. All seemes to go okay. When i rebooted my phone, the screen would not turn on. I tried to enter Hboot by holding down the power button for a minute and then pressing the down volume button, but the lights would continue to flash. Ialso tried using the HTC One toolkit to enter the bootloader though my PC, but it says no device found
Please, please, please help!
which kernel did you install and what ROM are you using?
Try pressing and holding the vol down button before pressing the power button and keep holding vol down
So I was going to install the InsertCoin 3.0-3 ROM and decided to update to the 2.24 firmware first. I changed the CID (I have the AT&T version) to 11111111 and installed the update as follows
you can flash it from fastboot
adb reboot bootloader (or reboot to bootloader via APM)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware-2.24.401.1-custom.zip
after it finish YOU WILL NEED TO RUN IT AGAIN
fastboot flash zip firmware-2.24.401.1-custom.zip
You should see successful at the end. Now type:
fastboot reboot

Rebooted into recovery (TWRP 2.5) and the touchscreen doesn't work. Eventually, the TWRP lock screen comes up and of course, I can't unlock it because the touchscreen doesn't work. I know the phone isn't frozen because after 30 seconds or so, the screen will turn off. Pressing the power button will turn the screen back on and the time/battery changes.
Holding down the power button makes the back and home button flash, but does not restart the phone. Holding down power+vol down does the same thing.
What do I do now? Fastboot and adb don't work so I can't restart that way

REASON:- THE NEW FIRMWARE HAS MODIFIES TOUCH SCREEN DRIVERS(its a known problem with TWRP v2.5.0.0)
SOLUTION :- press and hold power+volume and keep it pressed for almost a minute(the back light flashes 11 or 12 times turns of and then you will reboot)
Do this again or even one more time!!(also try simply power button for long)
it does the trick

I am stuck on this as well (HTC One [M7] Sprint running TWRP 2.5.0.0) and the power button + volume (ive tried both) doesnt seem to reboot the phone. Is there another solution to reboot or do i have to wait for the battery to run out of juice?
Hello. I have a razr I and decided to unlock the bootloader. I tried the button combination power + volume down several times, but the phone just powers up normally (actually rhe screen flashes for a second, but doesn't go into fastboot mode. I trided using adb reboot fastboot but the device just reboots. What can I do about it?
NVM, just did it by fastboot reboot bootloader...
Ok, one more thing. It seems my device ignores the key combo, but I was still able to get into fastboot mode by using adb. However, I have tried to flash a custom recovery with no success.
I tred using the supplied installer and after rebooting I get to the open robot screen with the red exclamation mark. Then, after holding some keys (not sure if power or power + volume down I get into recovery, but it's still the stock android recovery. Then I tried flashing the recovery image from fastboot mode. It sait the recovery was flashed, but still cannot boot into recovery. What's wrong with my phone?

Just incase you need to do it in the future:
Hold volume down, then hold the power button. When it begins to vibrate release the power button and keep the volume down button pressed until you get into fastboot.

Alright. So how about the never appearing CWM recovery?
Hey,
the power button of my HTC one is working in my normal android but not I the hboot menu/fastboot menu. I can't unlock my device because I habe to confirm it using the power button.
Edit: I can use it to force the phone in the HBOOT menu to shutdown by pressing it for 20 seconds.
Thx
Hey everyone, any help will be apprecaite:
I have a Sprint Note 5 that goes into a boot loop, when I push the Vol. down and home button, it will goto a blue screen "installing system update" and then "no command" and eventually it will go into the Android Recovery screen. I can't do anything on this screen because the power button is broken.
If I push the vol down and home button during the "installing system update" it will go to the warning screen to install a custom OS. The options are Vol. up for Continue, Vol. down for Cancel and Home for Show Barcode. The Vol. up and home buttons do nothing. Pressing Vol. down will restart the phone and proceed to boot loop again. If I was able to continue I can probably reflash using Odin, but it won't.
Does anyone know a way to fix this? thanks!!
Why not replace the power button?
