I've been trying to install the ota update for my T-mobile Z and it fails every time. Did a factory reset and still no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Have you modified the software on your phone in any way? For instance, changed fonts, removed system apps/bloat etc.

If you removed system apps, then a factory reset did not put them back.

They all seem to be there. Anyway if thats the case will a desktop update work? Or should i finally push for the bootloader unlock?
Yes, you will be able to update via the PC Companion.
Also, as you have a C6606, you cannot unlock your bootloader. ?

You spoke to someone that either didn't know what they were talking about, or just wanted you off the phone. Your carrier has no facility to do that, neither would they do it even if they could. It was them that requested non unlockable bootloaders for their branded variant to start with, so why would they help you to bypass it?

OTA updates have nothing to do with your phone being unlocked, as long as you're running the stock factory ROM. As long as your software is stock, you will receive the OTA whenever they roll it out in batches, irrespective of SIM lock/unlock.

Bin4ry's tool doesn't work for that firmware version.
Do this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405
Follow the instructions carefully. It definitely works as I rooted the same firmware version with it myself.
If you have never used Flashtool before, here is a guide to setup drivers etc and flash - How to flash stock roms with Flashtool
Also, somebody may come in here and recommend that you use something called Kingo to root your phone. Personally, I don't trust it as there is no information on how it works or what it pushes to your phone, so keep that in mind.

Doesnt matter because you usually wipe and flash a rom after root. Then you definally sure that there is no mallware left

Yep, you cannot see anything untoward, so it's completely fine!
I'm not saying that this Kingo app does anything bad, but do you think it would flash a notification toast up on screen saying "Please wait: Stealing your personal data" if it did?
I personally do not trust it and therefore will not recommend it to anybody over a method supplied by a trusted developer such as DooMLoRD, even if the process is one click and therefore foolproof.

Hello,
Is there a pre rooted UK generic unbranded rom to flash via flash tool on 10.4.b.0.569 (4.3)
Why a UK generic? There is no difference between UK, Italy,...
And if you flash an other pre rooted region you won't loose warranty

To actually answer the question, you won't find a prerooted stock rom in FTF format to flash with Flashtool.
Flashtool will only flash unmodified stock software in flashmode.
Here's a prerooted UK rom that can be flashed via recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590088

Thank you, so when I have finished this will I still be able to check for updates via pc companion, I don't mind if I can't actually install the updates but as long as I can check then I can flash back stock rom and update that way, can't I?
updates
To make myself clear lol can it still search for Software updates with recovery installed?
I once unlocked the bootloader with flashtool and noticed a software update on an internet page so I went on sony update service and it told me to connect in flashmode so I did then it said checking connected device then it said it can't update because the software has been modified, is this because of unlocked bootloader? I have relocked it and it could update I just wanted to know if it worked the same when recovery installed?
Yes, you should be able to check for software updates via the PC Companion. SUS gave that error because your bootloader was unlocked.
I cannot guarantee it though, as I rooted by unlocking my bootloader, therefore didn't use a prerooted rom.

You would have to downgrade to a FW which is rootable and then use the pre-rooted images to get back updated to 4.4.2.
Sadly this method implies wiping all your data on the phone.

Hey guys. I'm trying to unlock my booaloader of my Xperia Z C6603.
When I go to the service menu and check it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
The point is, that I haven't bought my phone from a carrier, it's unlocked from factory and I don't know why I can't unlocked it
If it says "No", then it's permanently locked.
Did you purchase it brand new, directly from a store or used from a third party?

Then it's possible that the seller flashed generic software on a carrier supplied phone that they network unlocked before selling it to you.
You should contact Sony support and they should be able to confirm this if you supply your IMEI number.

Did the seller advertise it as an unbranded phone? Perhaps you can contact eBay to see if something can be done, even if it's some time after purchase. It's worth a try.
