Does anyone have any ideas what could cause the phone to start, then take another 2 minutes to start all the widgets. The clock, calendar, gsam battery, et al.....
I did disable a lot of the bloatware, I'm just curious as to what I could have froze that would cause the hangup while starting up the widgets.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the assistance!
Issue resolved by removing Xposed Modules, then Xposed.

This is something I've wanted 2 ask many times over but just keep forgeting to, has anyone else noticed that when u launch task-killer app it usually shows several other app running that either u know u didn't start or for the most part can't see them running or don't even know if one would be dependant on the other...ex, pushed taskiller to find gallery, alarm, browser, taskiller, messaging and contacts all running, now this is 20 minutes after initial boot but haven't started not one thing yet...any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, veritas

Most of those are system processes that even if you shut down they will restart. Taskkiller is mainly for like.. shutting down programs like SNESoid or Barcode Scanner.
Hey guys I have an issue with my Captivate that just started earlier today. I got my Captivate a few days ago and the first thing I did was root it then flash a rom (latest FireFly) on it, I also went through a few themes since then and everything was great. Today I decided to switch the battery with a third party battery I have for the samsung i9000. Once I started up the phone, it hung at the boot screen for a bit longer than normal. Once I made it onto the homescreen, it asked me to pick a launcher, I picked launcherpro and its settings was reset (my widgets, homescreens, and apps were not as I placed it). The Captivate also vibrates in bursts of 1, then 2 in a row, signaling a FC I'm assuming. ANd thats what happens, all my startup apps keep force closing (alarm clock, titanium backup, battery widget; which isn't even on the homescreen anymore, etc.) I went back to the OEM battery and still getting the same thing. I don't know what else to do at this point, the FCs at startup keeping coming, and its as if all the settings I set we rewrited (for example, no notification for weatherbug, yet it comes up at boot). TIA for any replies.

Try to clear everything in cwm, as well as dalvik and reboot your phone.

Do you have another launcher on the phone? If so, remove Launcher Pro and reinstall. See if that helps, that is if you have another launcher.
Anyone know what this is about? Is it basically the same as Carrier IQ? Do I need it or should I just uninstall it?
It's one of Samsung Apps updates, although you can still use them without it. I removed it since i don't like apps with the word "push" in them and my battery life got a lot better ( i removed a lot of other **** too so I can't be certain that was the issue ) Got approx 1%/h now in standby, in case we have different views on what good batt life is
How do you remove this?

Go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, it should appear in the downloaded list. Tap it and select "Uninstall".
It was also draining my battery as a wakelock, as detected by Better Battery Stats. Uninstalled with no issues.
At first I was paranoid it was going to affect push capabilities on my e-mail, but apparently it's just to push updates or announcements on Samsung apps.
Hope this helps.
You could also freeze it with titanium backup if you don't like the idea of uninstalling it

I freeze all the unnecessary samsung services and apps. push was the biggest wake drain
Hey guys, so What exactly is this? I keep getting a notification to install this but when I click it takes me to samsung apps to download and says this product does not exist. Any thoughts?
Hello, I have come across a problem with notifications for google keep. They do not work I wont get a notification when I should get one. I have this problem some time now and the only solution I have come across is reinstalling Google Keep and then notifications will work again. After a wile notification will not work and I need to reinstall Google Keep again.
I do not know if other people have this same problem? Or does somebody knows a solution for this strange problem.
Maybe it had been killed by the internal taskmanager

Dont know is possible, I dont use third party taskkillers so that shouldend be a problem. I only use greenify but Google Keep isnt checked in Greenify. Hopefully an update of Google Keep or an update from Sony to 4.3 will help.

You use the widget? using a widget makes sure Keep stays in memory I think

Yes I am using the widget thats the strange part. And rebooting phone or clearing cache or dalvik cache do not bring notifications back. Only reinstalling Google Keep works.

you have any other app installed that could hibernate keep or just disable the notification?
Not that I know of, I only use greenify for hibernating apps. Yeah I have ES task manager installed but I dont use that app for killing apps and it doesnt do it automatically. I do greenify google play services but when manually greenifed the notification still works.
I have a similar problem. Google keep has (stopped) giving fully formed reminder notifications ie the notification triggers (and will be visible in the notification area afterwards) but the sound/vibrate is truncated ie only plays a fraction of the sound, not all of the ringtone (or sometimes none of it).
I had a similar issue on a previous phone using Tasker to notify of events. What fixed that was explicitly waking the phone for a length of time longer than the ringtone lasts, then triggering the notification and ringtone, then releasing the wake lock again. Could it be that Keep reminders need the same fix?
I have solved my problem. By keeping keep as an app that starts at reboot and I do not greenify keep, that solved it for me. Because if keep doesn't start at boot and you use the app after boot, the notification still do not work. Just try to reinstall keep that worked for me before I figured this out.

I uninstall Greenily and reboot the phone. Google Keep start working with no problem.
Ive been using Xposed mods and recently followed a guide for freezing unneeded apps and a few days later my clock widget is always showing the wrong time, my calls and text shown up out of order and games randomly freeze my phone. I'm linking to pictures of my mods, maybe its an obvious error on my part.

Uninstalling Xposed doesn't work. I've also cleared cache and still same bugs.
