I have been looking, and while I have found lists for S4 and S5, I haven't found a Note 3 specific list of apps safe to freeze. I finally got tired of my phone having wakelock issues, and S Finder annoying me, so I finally rooted. First order of business is freezing all the bloat. If anyone knows of a good list, or if the S4 or S5 lists will work, I would much appreciate it

Check the development section. There is a debloat script that you can run to get rid of all the Samsung/AT&T bloatware. However, that requires you to have recovery. If you just want to freeze some apps that you don't need, you can use that debloat script as reference to manually freeze some apks.

Me, too! I just rooted mine and installed Titanium Backup Pro to freeze some of the applications that I KNOW are useless bloatware. My problem is; despite freezing them, when I reboot my phone, they come back like a bad case of the flu.
I need to stop the madness. My battery is dropping like a madman.
Uninstall them, that's what I did

I have a gear that is connected to a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, that is 3g connected (SM-P601, I think).
The gear and the note work together just fine. The only issue is that there seems to be only 8 apps that appears from the Samsung store (when I enter it from the Gear Manager app). It is not only extremely limited, but much less than most people seem to be saying that they see in the online store.
What would be the issue here? Even apps like Ebay, Vivino, Life360, Banjo, etc, are missing. Does anyone else experience the same phenomenon here? Does anyone know what might be the issue here?
So I would like to know how many apps people normally see in the Samsung app store.
Thanks in advance.
Seems to depend on location and/or device. Check the Samsung store via the internet to see all the apps
Most are posted in this forum too

Cool thanks for the tip.
I'm in the US, although the Note is an unlocked international version. Not sure if that makes a difference, or if the samsung online store decided to shortchange me.
Hi guys,
I have some experience with rioting Samsung devices and othet devices as well, however recently sported on the page claiming the one click root for Note 5.
Currently I own this device and wanted to uninstall lots of bloatware pre-installed in Note 5, therefore decided to root my device.
I need advice from you whether this one click root will work or is it just a virus or something like that?
Unfortunately I am unable to poste the link, bu if you google it, it will appear ons top
There is no "one click root" for any of the newer Samsung flagship devices. Also, uninstalling bloatware won't get you anything more than just disabling it.
I have used Disabler pro, which does not require rooting, but after disabling software, they still run in the background and use RAM.
That is why I need to uninstall them.
Is there any efficcient way to root Note 5, Without installing Custom kernel??
something is wrong if a disabled app can still be ran. usually, you can't even open a disabled app, your self.

So I got the virtual reality headset for my s6 the other day and it isn't working right with my s6. I'm wondering if anyone else bought it and got it working? I'm also on the firmware that we can root so I'm wondering if I need to update to the most recent firmware so it can work right.
I'm on 5.1.1, but I had to do a factory reset to get the facebook app manager to install correctly. I'm not super thrilled about having to use all the facebook apps. (yes I know Facebook owns oculus now) If you used any of the package disablers, make sure to unfreeze all the facebook apps before you start installing the oculus apps.
I figured out what the problem was. I needed to update to 5.1.1 . It was hard for me to do cause I didn't want to lose root. I did the upgrade and it works great. For 99$ the gear vr 2 is really cool. The only thing that sucks is that the apps are pretty expensive.
I have been trying all the advice I can find for two weeks. It's an obsession now, it's not healthy. Any help would be life changing. I have a lot of experience flashing roms and tinkering, I've been doing this for several years... like since CM7 with multiple phones. usually I can follow some instructions and make things work but this has been an epic fail.
I have a galaxy s3 and an s4 I've tried gear manager on both.... connects fine with a touchwiz ROM on the phone(s)., but I despise touchwiz and I'd rather get rid of the watch if I have to. I almost always use AOSP roms... currently CM13. gear will not work. I've tried editing build.prop changing samsung to htc. I've downloaded .apk's for gear plugin and samsung accessory service and install before and after gear manager. I've tried multiple older versions.
the latest stumbling block is an error message that says, "check if your phone is compatible and if the samsung gear app needs to be updated"
has anyone seen this message, I can't find any similar problems on this site or anywhere else?
am I missing something. did they update the gear app and now previous solutions are not working?
Thanks for your help. XDA usually saves me! I have never had to ask for help before.
I had the same issue with my Galaxy s5 kltedv with AICP Nougat custom rom. I got the Gear S3 and downloaded the gear manager app but it wouldn't open due to it "detecting and unauthorised OS." In the meantime I've had to return to the stock touchwiz (MM) rom to get it to work. Seems ridiculous that the app won't open with a custom rom yet it can be used on non Samsung phones. I'm still hunting around for an answer/solution so can't help you out just yet.
Found a work around answer for you at https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/samsung-devices-running-cm13-12-1-pair-t3290076
2Mecky: Try editing your build.prop and replace your make with "google" or "htc". I've been able to get as far as getting the manager to open on my S5, but I can't get it to detect my Gear 2. I just got the watch today, though so I haven't had a lot of time to mess around. I am kind of surprised that I was able to get this far, though.
Hello All,
I got my Note 8 the other day and want to get some apps disabled. I got Package Disabler working just fine, but want to know what people are freezing on their devices.
I know on my S8+ I froze a TON of apps and processes, but on the Note 8, I want to keep a few functions such as samsung pay/android paid, bixby and perhaps a few more, but just wanted to see who's doing what.
I started my own list of the apps on the Note8 using Package Disabler but then switched to BK Disabler since I couldn't get PK working after I downloaded their paid plugin.
I still have to load up the Bloatware and System apps listed and then will start removing stuff. But I know that I'll keep Samsung Pay, Air Command etc. Not sure about Bixby. I still haven't tried it out to fully decide if I want to keep using it or not.
Yeah this is my first carrier branded phone in years an my first Sammy so I would appreciate a list of things that can be disabled....
Well, part of the problem is different carriers have different bloat, so maybe include carrier in your list.
Go ing to try tthis o it.
