Did you install Busybox? Download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.timos.busyboxonrails
Also, just an FYI: Questions go in the Q&A section, not the general section. Please post any future questions in there.

Which Busybox app did you use? Try the one I linked you to. You might have a bad download of Safestrap too. Try downloading it again. If worst comes to worst you may have to do a factory reset and try again.

Enter the SafeStrap recovery and delete your created ROM slot.
Restart and load your stock ROM.
Open the SafeStrap app and select uninstall recovery.
Problem solved.
I still don't think you'll be able to install the update but it's worth a shot.

Hi all. I've got two VZW LG G2s that are rooted, and the current KitKat update continues to download and fail. Is there any way to force the update?
VZW support suggests a factory reset and I dont' want to do that for sure.

Do you still have the stock recovery? You need it for this update to take.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess I'd have to do a factory reset, or is there a way to unroot?

If you need the stock recovery back, easiest thing to do is wipe the phone back to stock using the flashtool then let it take the OTA, you can re-root with ioroot25 afterwards and if you need TWRP, re-install it with AutoRec.

Most of it's listed in there. Use AutoRec to install TWRP, you can find it in the regular G2 Dev section.
A good friend asked me to root his note 3, he was on mj5 at the time, everything worked like a charm using vroot. Now he wants to update to kitkat so i downloaded the rom file and odin files from another thread thinking it would be easy,i looked at his build and fimware and its nb4 now but still android version 4.3 so i tried to install safestrap says it installs but wont boot into it so i backed everything up using titanium and factory wiped it from the actual recovery still no luck how can i update this thing

towel root. you have to get that first. once you do so and reboot, you can install safestrap recovery
Even though it's still rooted after a full wipe

I cannot find a clear answer. It is rooted by doing towelroot and flashing kernel to nd3, using towelroot, then flashing ng3 kernel again. Will I brick if I install safestrap recovery on ng3?

No that's the only custom recovery you can use. Why would it brick your phone? The method you've described using is the only way to use Safestrap
Ok the only posts I see are people using it with nd3.. ot one post have I seen someone say ng3... ven the safestrap post says nd3.. thanks for the help hh what happens if I do not disable xposed?

Fantastic glad everything is working for you:thumbup::thumbup:
Are any of the safestrap roms worth installing? I really enjoy all of the features of this phone surprisingly. I like stock so much that I would almost unroot it and restore complete stock if it wasnt for callrecorder, and titanium backup.
What apps/settings are you guys freezing with TB? I want to freeze update so I don't accidentally take whatever OTA's are available, but what else do you guys freeze?
How do you get TB work? It said that my s6 edge is not rooted and its rooted with pingpong root..
You have to switch from Kinguser to SuperSU.

I think there was instructions on how to manually switch in the OP of the pingpong root thread. I just rooted my phone last night, and it installed supersu instead of king
New version installs SuperSU instead.

It's a very difficult procedure for users with a little or no experience/knowledge but here you can find the instructions on how to do it. If you don't know or don't understand how to do the procedure, DON'T DO IT.
Instructions can be found in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-pingpongroot-s6-root-tool-t3103016

Thanks I just uninstall the older version and install the new one and replace the app.. Thanks!
That's what I was going to tell you. To un-root the phone and then re-root using the new pingpong version. Glad that you could make it.

So what apps need frozen to stop the update being pushed out? Took a quick look and the only one I see is the 'AT&T Software update' one, but I'm pretty sure there are more pieces you can freeze, just can't recall the names.

I just froze ATT software update in TB and I haven't DL'ed the newest update. May try to go back to stock to take the OTA then try rooting again. I'm scared though, haven't used Odin in years!

I ended up just freezing it and it hasn't come back trying to d/l anything, so I'm happy for now.
