Make sure that you have right clicked and unblocked both odin 3.09 and do the same for the mk7 firmware.
Reboot your galaxy gear watch,
Flash the MK7 in Odin.

Thank you for your assistance helped
I have uploaded MK7 and watch works
I have one question that room from the list is Tizen? and if I can upload it on MK7?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463743

What do you mean by right clicking and unblocking Odin? I tried right clicking on my windows 8 pc and I don't see anything about unblocking. I tried running as admin and checked file permissions, which were all in check.

I believe when he said right click, he means to right click the odin icon, and select "run as administrator"
as for unblocking, I think he meant to make sure the "auto reboot" and "repartitioning" is unchecked.

Thank you. I think my issue is that I cannot get my pc to recognize the gear. I know that it has worked before, because I used this same pc to root and install roms on the same gear watch.
Edit: I got it figured out. I was trying to upgrade to Tizen. Wouldn't work. Flashed back to MK7.

I've tried so many Tizen firmware downloads, and haven't had any success.
I'm going to keep on trying though
Will keep you guys updated.

Similar issue, haven't found a solution.
My watch is stuck on a screen saying
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Can't get it into recovery or download mode.
If I hold the power button, it just flashes off quickly, then straight back into that screen.
If I try to flash something in Odin, the device does "connect" or show up in Odin, but gets stuck on the Setup Connection stage.
Any ideas??

Ok... Fixed my issue.
Just had to flash the MK7 firmware. That was the ONLY one that works.
Thanks all!

When your Gear displays "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again", it's already in download mode.
An emergency-recovery-sort-of, download mode.
Just flash matching version rom, depending on what you were trying to do.
If it was android or null_rom, reflash android.
if it was android and you wanted to upgrade it to Tizen, flash the very first version of tizen (NE9), not the newer NF1.
NE9 allow to upgrade Android to Tizen, NF1 just allow to update Tizen to newer Tizen, and bricks Gear if trying to upgrade from Android.

To update you can use Gear Manager on your smartphone, it will download the 2 or 3 MB update package, and send it to the Gear.

[Q] (Q) Galaxy tab P1000L wont turn on

O my problem is i was trying to flash OVERCOME Icarus and following the guide on the overcome site i downloaded the stock v5 file unziped and started the included odin in download mode selected the files as instructed set repartition and pressed start. After couple minutes odin gave me a green PASS and rebooted my phone but it wont turn on soft keys are on but screen is of. If i press the power button the keys turn of. Conecting it to power outlet (original included charger) turn on soft keys after a few secs but no battery icon displayed.
After about 30 mins in this state i tried plugging it to my pc (windows 7x64Ultimate) and windows made the sound that it detected something but i cud not check what hardware it detected and odin did not detect device.
Is this a SOFT-Brick or a HARD-Brick and how can i correct my problem if possible
Edit: ok when i plugg it in windows Device manager shows SAMSUNG Android USB Modem, and SAMSUNG Android composite adb interface. Also if i start kies it tries to connect but after a while gives me a device not responding to resolve this issue reboot the device. Odin still does not detect it
Edit2: Ok tried going tru command prompt adb with adb devices command and it gives me a device conected in recovery mode i guess the is still hope still if some1 can help ill apreciate it
i was gonna reply you now , if you wait 1 second with your pm , you could see me reply you

Check to see if the device is actually "Hard" bricked by leaving it plugged into charge for atleast 4 hours via a mains supply (NOT USB).
If above doesn't work you will need to send your Tab To Samsung To Fix it For you or visit this link. "

download mode
looks like the tab was booting but the screen wasnt turning on i replaced the kernel with one found in post #1 from this treadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14728425#post14728425 and instalation continued still no screen the followed instructions from post#4 of same thread and got screen to turn on but stuck at galaxy tab boot screen, got fed up and im restoring my original rotobackup using heimdall 1.1 frontend the bar at heimdall shows 100% but no other success or failure message been like that for bout 10mins device screen show download bar but i dont see any advance btw im at the phone-yellow triangle-pc download screen
that is cool , simply you are a Worrier
did you unplugged or not yet ?
sooner or later you gonna do
still nothing
damm this tab used odin to flash my roto backup of original rom and nothing normal boot goes past galaxy tab screen into operator(telcel:mexico) animation and then gets stuck in samsung logo.
Recovery mode shows following errore:cant mount /dev/bñock/mmcblk0p2 (invalid Argument)
E:install_aplication_for_customer: cant mount DATA:
Good news looks like a software brik bad news=a really bad software brik any help will b thanked and apreciated
i think you need to flash your firmware " http://www.samfirmware.com/apps/auth/login?why=pw&try=1&wp=1&next=WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm" download it from this link ans flash it with PIT FILE
Finally
Ok Im a very happy tab owner now dont really know what worked but i tried the rom from samfirmware and the same so i retraced my steps got overcome in there again managed to get the sexy voice withoout screen went back to samfirmware at this point the error changet to cant mount dev sdcard or something like that so i went back to my own rotobackup and was back on last error.
I was almost thinking of sending it for repair when (and i dont know why i did) in the factory recovery menu i pressed home on the wipe cache option i got android with sign so i get desperate and press home dunno how many times and sudenly the cache was wiped i did the same on factory reset and after that my tab booted into my operator rotobackup(rooted ofc).
Guess I will stick to froyo for now and thanks for the help
Telcel
I'm anothere desesperated user that tried to update the Galaxy Table P1000L toandroid Gingerbread, but screen is not working anymore, I hate my self for trying doing this, What should I do? I wasn't able to download rotohammer tools as http : // files. deodexed. com/ModADroid-Galaxy-Tablet/Rotohammer/JME/ is not working anymore, help!!!! please!!!!
So... same problem here.... My tab p1000l bricked and then when i finally got the answear the battery got drained... so... if i understand it correctly if it was not a hard brick i can charge already if i plug it for at least 4 hours to charge?

Tutorial: how to unbrick your phone

Bricked my phone after trying out CM7 and then flashing Stock ROM via KDZ_FW_UPD without wiping all data.
Found a way how to fix my problem. This should work for almost all bricked phones.
Remember, this will wipe ALL DATA from your phone. I'm not responsible if something happens with your P970. Do at your own risk.
You will need:
Drivers for P970;
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN
UpTestEX_mod2_marwin
WindowsEnablerv1.1
Download
Start from here if it's first time (no drivers installed, etc):
1) Install all drivers (from Drivers folder);
2) Disable LGE Virtual Modem (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager);
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Start from here if drivers already installed:
3) Run msxml.msi (in KDZ_FW_UPD folder);
4) Delete mfc42.dll (from KDZ_FW_UPD folder);
5) Run WindowsEnabler.exe and set it to ON;
6) Run UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe;
7) Set your phone to S/W Upgrade mode (take out battery, while pressing Volume Up, plug USB cable).
1) Select KDZ file (download from here);
2) Click "CSE web upgrade test", then "Upgrade Start".
Chose your language and wait till phone reboots. It will take some time and could look like nothing is going on. If you see something similar to this (on your phone) for a moment, everything went OK.
maaaaaaaaaaaaan em trying it right now.....let u know as soon as i see some results
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"YES" it really works!!!
Thanks a billion times man! You saved my life
(for everyone else who is trying to follow this TUT...when i was updating it was stuck at 4% and showed a lot of errors in the log below...but i guess that didnt matter and now it works...that screen at the end is really must...and i had to force close the update tool after my phone was working)
I think this is solution for ALL BRICKED P970s that can enter into S/W Upgrade mode!!!
Very important is that this method do HARD RESET after flashing firmware so it could UNBRICK ALL of our phones.
Can anyone with bricked phone (not CM7 brick) can test it?
I a little bit edited tutorial and, yeah, it could help for all bricked phones. We just need someone who could test it out.
I linked it at RC's G+ and RootzWiki, in response to those bricking their OB's in regards with CM7. Hope they could give us feedbacks.

cool, finally a method that can do "hard reset" without a running system or a recovery installed !!
LG would have implement the hard reset in his Recovery in the B2CAppSetup ! it would avoid lots of send back to LG customer service !!
Thanks

No, LG would have implement the recovery key combination... It would be remedy for almost all P970 bricks...
Does anybody knows another phone with Android without hardware key combination for recovery?
Is it even possible that hardware key combination (changing bootloader) will be possible to add-on by official LG firmware update? Maybe they should do this with official 2.3 upgrade, but it is probably only dream...
PS. I forgot to thanx, ziiljuks, you're the man!
yes, recovery combination key would be better ^^
ps: I think x8 doesn't have it either
quote from rootzwiki: "adb.exe reboot recovery saved my life!!!!"
i guess we can boot into recovery with this command. i didn't know that adb environment can run with bootloop or volume up screen... can anybody confirm this?

No, it can't. You need to boot to OS and have enabled Debugging to get ADB working.
I was trying it many times when I bricked my phone. Look HERE.
It seems very good work! But i just bought my phone, i have not fllash my rom yet, since i am afraid that flashing will damage my warranty forever. Could shut body tell
Me whether there is ANY means to recover the warranty........

yes, by reflasing stock rom !
CSE means CS_EMERGENCY
I think this does the same if you select the CS_EMERGENCY mode on KDZU.

Nope. Tried that when I bricked my phone couple of weeks ago.
EDIT:
Tested it 5 mins. ago with CS_EMERGENCY in KDZU, and no. No hard resetting.
hmm I should test this tool again. I previously gave up that because it has never worked, until I know those kdz files must keep their name
i dont get the "CSE web upgrade test" button in the UpTestEX_mod2_marwin window.
any ideas?
tried normal upgrade but dosnt make the factory reset and keep geting boot loop.
yes another victim of CM/ > Stock
ok found it. in the type has to be in CDMA not 3GQCT
Hello,man.
There's some problems in using this method.
A guy does the upgrade,and the phone is stuck at 4% too. But unlike the situation u've met, there's not even a error in the log. Then , he has to switch off the USB(means disconnect the phone and the PC. sorry, my English is... - -#). I wanna know how much time does the upgrading process takes. Thanks.
Meanwhile ,there's another guy. He did the same thing .And the phone reboots finally. But what confuses me is that he didn't get the picture on the screen. Could you explain , thanks in my heart!
And thanks ziiljuks very much!
maybe a corrupted kdz file, try to re-download another.

Download THIS package. It has all the files in one folder. Unpack it to C:\ You should get C:\P970_unbrick\*files here*
Install msxml.msi, then run Windows Enabler.exe and click on its icon in the taskbar. Icon will change and will show "ON". Then run UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe and do the rest of the job.

When i followed this tut my update process was stuck at 4% and actually it "didn't" flash the stock rom...(although it was already flash before my the KDZU tool) this tool simply after giving alot of errors in the log file did a hard reset (that last screen---which actually does the magic by formatting the data partition). After that screen my phone restarted and BINGO i was at the setup wizard! then i closed the tool bcz it was stuck but my phone was working

[Q] N7000 bricked?

Hello, peeps!
So I was when starting an application, my phone doesn't respond. Tried the power button and it didn't work so I removed the battery and placed it back in.
Here's when my nightmare starts. My phone is stuck at the "GT-N7000" screen, and I cannot proceed further. I'm unable to start Recovery Mode (Vol Up + Power + Home), and only Download Mode works.
However, I tried flashing stock roms, Odin showed no progress even after almost 2 hours.
What seems to be the issue? Is it a hard brick?
Questions should be in the Q&A section.
Is odin able to detect the phone.. ( the port square in odin turns yellow/blue?).
check if there are any Kies processes running in the task manager.. kill them, restart odin and restart phone in download mode and try again.

stuck at the NAND Write part, and the progress bar shows no progress at all (the green bar thing). Could this mean hard brick?
do you have warranty? If yes, take it to Samsung and tell them to rectify it. If no warranty then, you will need to get into recovery may be by flashing a kernel using odin.

Wow...thank you for such quick replies!!
Nope, no longer in warranty..Can I have a link to the kernel file?
Thank you so much!
Before you go about this.. try a reboot PC, reboot download mode phone. try a original USB cable and main USB port of pc and flash again,
If above still stops at NAND
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
look for a tar.md5 file which is odin flashable. If you remember the build number of you phone, then pick that else get any JB kernel and flash using odin. check if odin gives a pass.

Sorry for double posting, here's the screenshot..
you dont need to select it everywhere... just the PDA ONLY.
1. download http://d-h.st/FVh.. this is a PIT file.. select it in the PIT partition. Check it and also repartition.
2. select the kernel file in the PDA..
3. press start... (you will need to reboot into download mode every time to start flashing. so remove the battery.. reboot into download mode.. (vol down+home+power)... after you get the screen volume up to continue.. once the screen shows DOWNLOADING, then connect to pc .. open odin
Thanks again!
How long does it normally take for the entire process to complete? The progress bar of "Set Partition" isn't moving at all
There seems to be some issue with the USB Port or Cable or PC.. you need to check ...a full flash of rom takes about 5-10 mins.
use only the back usb port, don't use the front or extension usb ports, they often throw up problems.. good luck
elprix and
I tried everything suggested, but the progress bar doesn't even move
What are the symptoms of hard brick btw?
EDIT : I tried with Odin3 V3.09, and it is stated Re-Partition failed.
EDIT2 : Tried multiple files, progress bar not moving at all.
It don't write to NAND. But it still is able to set partition. Have you tried a different pc? Uninstall Kies completely and then again install Samsung usb drivers.

Hi everyone!
I experience a similar problem as the original poster! Yesterday my phone was fine, but then it rebooted and got stuck. Now I can only get in to "Download mode". There it says:
Odin Mode
Product Name: GT-N7000
Custom binary download: No
Current binary: Samsung Official
I've had it running Paranoid Android successfully for months and then this happened! So where do I go from here,,,? I have Odin downloaded, drivers installed, so what should I try to flash and in what order?
I would be thankful for any help - feel a bit handicapped without a phone!

I have forced my gear into this mode issue before, no worries you can restore your gear.
Reboot your gear, Once it is on the " ( firmware upgrade encounter an issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again }"
connect it to your computer, the open odin and reflash your mk7 firmware.
This will get you back to stock firmware.
Note: Info was available here in my Tutorial.
(Note 2: Null_ roms are not flashed using odin)

Guys thanks for the replies no I'm not sure if it loaded the trw but I am
Sure that it took the mk7 update I was trying to load the trw when it got stuck
I am trying to flash it back but it is taking forever its been running since 9pm last night
Will this work even if its not in debug mode is there a way to force it into debug mode
might be time for the typical Odin troubleshooting:
try a new computer
try a new microUSB cable
guys i have tried flashing the mk7 back no good i hope its not dead i don't know what else to do it starts running and gets stuck on the system part

If anyone can help - I am totally new to rooting, and my Galaxy Gear is bricked. It won't boot past the "Samsung Galaxy Gear" logo - and It says "No OS Installed in recover mode. I can boot into Recovery, and Download.
Please assist me into installing an OS.
I had tried installing the custom ROM I tried before (but wanted to remove because it wasn't allowing data connections on the gear) but i need to allow USB debug - but Obviously I cannot access this.
Please help if anyone can!
Thanks in advance!

Just flash stock rom via odin
Garbled Screen When trying to get into recovery mode.
I've update my Gear to Tizen then tried to get back to stock state to install null_
I've followed this instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2776157
Did not work (process completed but unbootable).
Then tried installing TRWP
http://liliputing.com/2013/11/twrp-custom-recovery-samsung-galaxy-gear-smartwatch.html
Not I have it unbootable. ( it's stuck at Samsung logo, like the one from stock V1 android firmware )
When I tried to get into recovery I get a garbled screen like the one attached. Unresponsive device.
Ideas?

are you stuck in the firmware encountered an error message ? If yes, does Odin still identify your watch when you plug it in ?? I ended up with the firmware error screen when attempting to upgrade to Tizen without following the correct order of items to flash.
If Odin can read your watch, you can probably reset the watch. If you plug it in, and Odin does not show it as active - try another usb slot on your computer.
I had to "start" Odin three times before it finally started to flash my watch again.
read this - it is what helped me

@bill_in_mtl: OK. I'll try this out when I get home from work. Thanks for this in advance. =)
I faced that too. Then odin could not recognise the gear. So only way was to restart laptop and change USB port. Then flash NE9. Then flash OA2.
However after that you might face gear manager connect issues.

Samsung Note 8 N950F Boot Loop after latest update

Hey
After the latest update, every time I called with the Note 8, it would restart and every time I would switch it off, it would start back on. So the first thing I did was boot to recovery mode and wipe cache partition. When I restarted the phone, I would get a "No command" error and it would always boot to the recovery mode. Next, I tried flashing the latest firmware (I made sure to use the right carrier, VDH) from SamMobile using Odin which still didn't work. Then I tried NAND erase and re-partition and this didn't work either.
I am very new to this so any solutions would be greatly appreciated

When you tried to flash stock with Odin did it pass? Fail? Did it give an error code? Did you download the latest filmware? As you can't flash older filmware than what is already on the phone.

Hey, thanks for the reply
When I flashed with stock firmware, Odin said it passed. And I used the latest firmware for my carrier from SamMobile

I was hoping that it was an issue with Odin so I could possibly help you, even having a look on the internet doesn't being much help other than trying a factory reset. I've been on xda for years and never seen this issue before. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will see your post, I suggest bumping your thread every 24 hrs.
Having tried flashing stock with Odin which usually resolves most bugs I would guess that it is a hardware issue and if you're able to, take it to a service centre.
If you do find a solution please post it here on XDA for anyone who searches this in the future

Looks like the partition in your internal SSD has been corrupted and needs to be reformatted. If that doesn't work then you need to have the motherboard on your device replaced.
