I recently upgraded my Sprint Note 2 from stock 4.3 to stock 4.4.2. My battery life on my stock Gear used to be about a day. With 4.4.2 on the Note, my battery life has greatly diminished to just a few hours. Is this due to Kitkat 4.4.2? Can I downgrade if I want to Android 4.3?
Unistall and Reinstall

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the gear manager on the note 2 and the issue seems to have gone away. I have no idea why.

Hi,
I've noticed that after 4.3 upgrade, I have less wifi performance in range than 4.1.2 official ROM or KK OmniRom/CM based ROM.
Am I the only one with this problem?

Battery drain was because of a bug in Google play services.
But after the update of play services as on 27 June I have noiced a decent increase in battery life.
go ahead and update :good:
HI I am very new to all of this so here goes. I recently purchased a S5 and it is currently running Kit Kat 4.4.4 and I was going to root it using the towelroot method and then upgrade to Lollipop using a thread on here as a reference. But I have some concerns
1. I was reading that Lollipop is terrible and filled with bugs and battery drains problems and speed issues
2. I head that there is a lollipop version 5.1 if I installed lollipop 5.0 how to I install the 5.1 update.
3. Also is it really worth the upgrade over Kit Kat
My phone is a G900A and its from AT&T if that helps thanks

I'm quite certain the latest version the G900A has is 5.0.1. To get to it you need to downgrade to 4.4.2(nce) and run towelroot, then you can use flashfire to upgrade to the pre-rooted lollipop, either oc4 or of2. I don't have any issues with lollipop, it's all up to personal prefrence i think.

24 hours a day I'm wondering if installing KitKat (to have more battery) or Lollipop (lock screen).

The latest build of Google Play Services doesn't have the battery eating problems of the first 5 builds.
The smoothness and extra features of 5.1.1 make the phone completely different.
With some small tweaks you can easily get the same battery life of KitKat.
Slim 4.6 is a great stock rom that you don't need to unlock you bootloader for and is rock solid
Hello again just a quick question but do you get bad battery life after a rom flash through odin as my battery is draining pretty quick? I also factory reset and cleared cache after rom installed. I have flashed the uae 6.0.1 stock rom
maybe you have an old baseband?
Check for a newer one on this thread:

I'm on latest 6.0.1 stock rom no root but now I'm only getting 4 sot on lollipop before I updated to 6.0.1 I use to get just under 6 hours sot
