Hello,
so my phone was in boot loop and i did hard reset it was ok for few hours.
after that started again, so i went in TWRP and wiped everything, now i don't have os.
I tryd with ADB sideload but every rom i tryd i get error:
sideload mode e:error executing updater binary in zip '/data/
or
error flashing zip updating partition details
or
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
i tryd with different ROMs but i think my main problem is i don't know which ROM to download.
ALso i tryd to relock bootloader and flash RUU .zip
again i downloaded few RUUs but every time i got same message:
target reported max download size of 1526722560 bytes
sending 'zip' (1154791 KB)...
OKAY [ 39.480s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 158.984s
Also i have downloaded few .exe RUUs but still I'm getting some errors.
now I have unlocked bootloader again and install TWRP and I'm downloading 8th ROM. Im trying to solve this for 2days, and with my slow net I'm downloading ROM FOR 3-4h.
Can anyone help me to download correct ROM and tell me which one?
My device info:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.55.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.19.3263.13
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 3.17.502.3
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0712000
(bootloader) cidnum: CWS__001
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 4200mV
Can someone help to chose and download correct ROM which is going to work? Thanks

Sorry just couldn't help myself. HTC's are very hard to brick and fairly easy to recover so don't worry about that.
Ok so a couple of questions. You followed that guide so then your HBOOT bootloader says Re-locked correct?
Last do this in fastboot fastboot getvar all
Please post the results.
---------- Post added at 10:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:21 AM ----------
Also that guide that was posted is to install Android Revolution not a stock firmware if you are trying to go back to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874 This is what you need. What phone do you have? Europe model guessing from avatar?

Ok well let's get you back to stock. You have two options you can flash a nandroid back up via CWM clockworkmod or you can do a RUU. I recommend doing a the CWM way as it's easier and less prone to problems. So go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874 scroll down and find
Stock Nandroid Backups:
you want M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__001 / 1.28.401.7
We know this as your CID is cidnum: HTC__001 so you can only flash things for HTC__001. After you get that file flash clockworkmod recovery if you don't already. Then put that zip on SD card of your phone /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
go into restore and you are back to stock my friend.

Man this phone is not working with you
Have you tried to boot the phone up normally. I know you think at this point it wont boot but I would bet it still will. If so you have your answer if not we get to have some ADB fun OH JOY
adb push <local> <remote> - copy file/dir to device
so the command would look like this using ADB
adb push nameofbackup.zip /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
I am assuming you are familiar with ADB if not let me know

So close I can taste victory...
Ok so you need to put the file at sdcard/clockworkmod/backups/ or it will not be found. If you did that and still are not having sucess then go into CWM recovery again and create a new backup doesn't need to be everything just something. Now reboot the phone and connect it to your computer and start searching for where it put that backup you just made. Once you find it put the zip there. Then go back to CWM and restore and keep your fingers crossed maybe do a little good luck dance.

I don't sorry. I have an idea it will take me ten minutes I need to download the nandroid backup. I think that the zip is not the backup and that you need to decompress the backup to the sdcard of your phone. Gotta wait till it's done downloading to confirm and tell you if you need to put it somewhere special or if it will do it on it's own. Really should have looked into this first sorry Noob mistake on my part

So um yeah. Just go ahead and extract the 2013-03-30.16.15.27.zip to your phone /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ it will make a folder called 2013-03-30.16.15.27 or something then go into recovery and go to restore and you will find it and hit restore. If you have a bootloop after go into recovery and then wipe system cache data and then do restore again. First boot can take 3 mins

Dear XDA,
I wanted to update my HTC One to Revolution HD. But there where some requirements before i could install that. Like updating the firmware and installing TWRP recovery. I needed to RELOCK my phone in order to update my firmware. So i did that using a tutorial. After that i only had to push the RUU and i would be back @ stock. And then i could flash Revolution HD to get 4.4!
But!... it went horribly wrong. As of right now, i can only enter fastboot. I cannot enter recovery, and there is no Android installed, so basically i'm screwed.
I do have some flashing experience and I'm not a complete newb, but this is out of my league. Perhaps there are some nice persons here that could help me out. I will try to summarise my phone settings:
My current settings in Fastboot:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.44.0000
RADIO-4A.14.3250.13
OpenDSP-v26.120.274.0202
eMMC-boot
May 3 2013,17:22:59:-1
CID: HTC_E11
MID: PN0710000
I have a nandroidback, but i can't get into recovery. I tried using ADB but my device is not recognised.... I get the feeling that S-ON needs to change to S-OFF. But if i use a toolkit (from Squabbi) i can't get my device S-OFF (device not recognised..).
As of right now, I'm sitting with my hands in my hair thinking i bricked my phone.
If someone could help me, you would save my day.
Lennard Breevaart.
ps: I'm using windows xp

Unlocked my phone, and gonna flash the recovery aswell!
But to not make the same mistake twice. What is the best way to update my phone to 4.4?

ARHD is great .. I also use ViperOne
just use the sideload feature in twrp being your phone is wiped
Quote:
Set the device into ADB sideload mode. In TWRP you do this by going to Advanced then ADB Sideload.
From the command line, type adb sideload name_of_rom.zip
or
adb push Rom.zip /data/media/0/

I will get s-off through the HTC One All in one toolkit. But on the ARHD topic, this was posted aswell:
You need:
HTC One unlocked with htcdev.com (S-ON) or S-OFF
Custom recovery
Firmware package from here (recommended but not needed for now)
Read this flashing guide - [GUIDE] Complete Flashing Guide | Rooting | Going Back To Stock
So i tried to get the latest firmware, and that's where the problems started. But shouldn't it be better to have the latest firmware? I mean it stands there for a reason, right? Or am I wrong?
Anyway, i will try ARHD for now, it looks nice
Thanks again!

not sure you have the same problem as the OP, your problem should be solved by a "fastboot erase cache"
(assuming the recovery you flashed isn't a bad download, did you check MD5?)

well is there an RUU i can use? i really dont know what to do, i have now got access to a recovery but i cant seem to install any roms through adb sideloading. i think it might be because there isnt a file system in place to install it to?

well you don't have an O2 branded phone, you may be with O2, but your phone is international unbranded.
you may want to consider S-Off before upgrading to 4.xx
but in either case: get TWRP from:
2.6.3.3: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
or 2.6.3.4: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
(make sure MD5 is correct, that site does not play nice with download managers)
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then you'll have custom recovery, and can install any ROM you like
Do not try to S-Off
considering that the device is currently "bricked" S-Off is the LAST thing you want to do, as it prevents you from ACTUALLY bricking your phone to the point of no return. However, as long as the OP can get into fastboot, since aparently only the bootloader is available, you should be able to flash a custom recovery, like TWRP or CWM. I very nearly bricked my One from a similar situation. Also, is your bootloader unlocked? I assume it is since you were trying to flash a non-stock ROM
Can now get into recovery, and am trying to install roms through adb. Ive tried many different roms, but they all come up with errors saying that it cannot mount ... Different partions (data, etc). I cannot adb push any roms into the sdcard either due to more errors. Cheers

can you be more specific which partition TWRP is unable to mount? because "unable to mount /cache...." is perfectly normal.
on the other hand "unable to mount /data" is not so good (could be a corrupt partition or a hardware problem), you'll have to select "Format data" in TWRP's wipe section.
not knowing what you flashed, it's hard to guess what's wrong.
you could try running "e2fsck -n -f -v /dev/block/mmcblk0p37" in an adb shell to see if you have a corrupt data partition. Here's an example of what a corrupt data partition could look like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512105

1- you're recovery is seriously outdated
2- try adb push instead:
adb push <name of rom>.zip /sdcard/ <- this will take about 5 to 6 minutes not showing any progress, until it finishes
3- are you sure the download isn't corrupt? have you checked MD5
Ok im starting agin.
Updated recovery, downloading a new rom (insertcoin) and making sure the md5s match.
Does adb sideload have a size limit??

i guess everything has a limit, but all the ROMs are being sideloaded just fine. I personally prefer adb push in these situations, as i can check md5 after it's on the phone, for example
Code:
C:\ADB3>[B][COLOR="Blue"]adb devices[/COLOR][/B]
List of devices attached
HT34xxxxxxxx recovery [I][SIZE="1"]<- you are now in recovery[/SIZE][/I]
C:\ADB3>[B][COLOR="Blue"]adb push Android_Revolution_HD-One_52.0.zip /sdcard/[/COLOR][/B]
2990 KB/s (1172224138 bytes in 382.835s)
[I][U][SIZE="1"]Just to double-check the file is not corrupt[/SIZE][/U][/I]
C:\ADB3>[B][COLOR="Blue"]adb shell md5sum /sdcard/Android_Revolution_HD-One_52.0.zip[/COLOR][/B]
2eff0d37fec5789b946c43f7da2c13bf /sdcard/Android_Revolution_HD-One_52.0.zip
[INDENT]from the OP:
Android Revolution HD 52.0 -- MD5 sum: 2EFF0D37FEC5789B946C43F7DA2C13BF --
==> so all is good :)[/INDENT]
C:\ADB3>
-> in recovery, select "install" and install the ROM

After flashing a RUU via Aurora Installer, I am unable to flash any ROM.
I have tried flashing Carbon ROM with both TWRP and CWM Touch, but it boots, loads initial set-up and then boot loops.
I have also previously tried flashing Cyanogen mod and Paranoid Android but to no avail
I need to go back to a custom ROM as I am unable to charge with the RUU if the phone is on.

Ok first off. An RUU is the program HTC uses to flash the OS to your device. It is not the OS. it sounds like you are not properly wiping the device before installing. Alos avoid any CWM recoveries. They are well known to be buggy and not the best option.
1. Use adb and fastboot to flash TWRP recovery
2. Format, system, data, cache and delvic cache
3. Flash the rom.
This will wipe all data on your device for apps and settings. So make sure you backup.

"This build is for dev...." etc is also showing, which i have never seen before
Edit: reply failed again :/
EDIT 2 : Looks like ive got it to work with fastboot oem rebootRUU

I recently acquired an htc one m7. i decided it would be cool to root it and put a custom rom ( i have had experience in this i have done it on my s3 my galaxy tab 2.0 and a galaxy express) so i unlocked my bootloader, flashed a custom rom and rooted my device and i decided (stupidly) to erase everything from the device (System, data, internal storage, cache, and dalvik cache) but then i realized i didnt have the file on my phone and couldnt do anything with it so i started researching. i tried to gain s-off but with every solution i need to be booted up but i dont have an os so i cannot. i tried adb sideloading the file and it just errors. i tried pushing the file and flashing it and it errors. i tried fastboot flashing it but it wont verify it. i read on a forum on this site that said to flash roms with s-on you need to flash the boot image after. i tried this and it didnt work either. i also tried flashing the factory RUU with hasoon2000's all-in-one toolkit. this did not work. ive tried different recovery (but not different versions of these recoveries) everytime i try flashing a rom it errors and says it couldnt detect filesystem for /dev/block/plat then it cuts off and after it says mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msn_ then it cuts off then it continues unmount of /system failed: no such volume (even tho in my file directory there defiantly is one) then it says patching system image unconditionally..... failed to open /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc. 1/b E: error executing epdater binary in zip ' /sdcard then cuts off. i have no idea how to fix this sorry for such a long post please help me.

This is the most common situation here, no worries, it can be fixed easily.
i tried to gain s-off

Why? you don't need s-off to recover from this situation, unless you want to downgrade using a RUU or convert your phone to another variant... Re-flashing another custom rom doesn't require s-off
but with every solution i need to be booted up but i dont have an os so i cannot.

Right, you need a working rom to achieve s-off. But you don't need S-OFF to flash a rom...
i tried adb sideloading the file and it just errors. i tried pushing the file and flashing it and it errors.

i tried fastboot flashing it but it wont verify it.

You can't flash custom roms from fastboot, it must be flashed from custom recovery. The only things that can be flashed from fastboot are recovery, firmware and ruu + flashing a firwmare or a ruu will require to be booted in RUU mode, not in bootloader mode.
i read on a forum on this site that said to flash roms with s-on you need to flash the boot image after. i tried this and it didnt work either.

This is true for most of HTC devices but not for the M7. The boot partition is not secured (not protected by s-on) and is flashed automatically when flashing a rom from custom recovery.
i also tried flashing the factory RUU with hasoon2000's all-in-one toolkit.

Which RUU exactly (link please) + post the output of "fastboot getvar all" and finally don't use any toolkits, work directly from the command prompt using fastboot and adb commands. Toolkits are not the best when in this situation.

This is the typical error of using an outdated recovery to flash a rom that require "block:by-name" support (e.g like trying to flash Cyanogenmod using twrp older than 2.7.x.x.) so again What is your recovery version and what rom and version is it?

TWRP 2.6.0.1 is really outdated. Latest official version is 2.8.6.0 or (2.8.6.4 unofficial) and since 2014-05-01 you need at least twrp 2.7.0.8 to flash Cyanogenmod

Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
but it won't help flashing roms, only for signed RUU and Signed firmware same or newer version that match your CID, MID and base version( x.xx.502.x) so 3.17.502.3 or above

If you want to flash CM12, update your recovery.
You might want to read this, this and this
TWRP can be downloaded from here and here
thank you very much @alray i flashed a more recent twrp and it worked so thank you for all of your help. it was the toolkit that flashed an old version, so yes the toolkit was not useful in this instance because the files used for the recovery were outdated. they should update them. lol thank you.

you're welcome, that's one example why we are not suggesting to use any toolkits.
can you edit your title to "[SOLVED] Can anyone help me fix my htc one m7?" (go to your first post, click "edit" then click "go advanced" change your title and click "save changes) thanks
