5x4 Modded Stock Launcher - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

I modded the stock launcher to have another row, thought I would share with everyone. Works really well, no issues at all for me. I threw a couple screenshots in there. The APK is attached. You may be able to install over the old launcher, but I wanted to back it up, so here's how I did it.
Requirements:
0. ROOT
1. Highly recommended to have another launcher just in case something goes wrong (like Nova Launcher)
2. The TouchWizHome.apk attached below.
3. A file manager with root access (Root Browser, ES File Explorer)
HOW TO INSTALL
1. Use a file manager to navigate to system/priv-apps/
2. Rename the TouchWizHome.apk file to something else (like TouchWizHome.apk.BAK)
3. Copy modded apk to the system/priv-apps/ folder.
4. Set permissions on the new apk to rw-r-r (see attached).
5. Reboot.
Hope you guys enjoy! = )

Changing apps names?

Is it possible to change the name of the apps? Like I am having Merriam Webster Unabridged and Medical too.. But the two apps are shown as "Medical" n "Unabridged" which has moved the apps in the app drawer to different positions.. I want to add "Merriam Webster" in front of their names.. Is it possible?

You should create a folder and put those apps in there. They'll be right next to each other.
If you have apk of that app, you can unpack it using apktool (search on google) .. change it's name in xml file, pack it back, sign and install it to phone.

With FolderOrganizer you can customize the name. You go into the program, and rename the app you want. Then instead of adding the app directly to the desktop, you press and hold, and add a shortcut, a FolderOrganizer shortcut, then choose the app you just renamed.
You can also customize the icon this way.

Really, give FolderOrganizer a try. It is a very simple way to do it. You are trying to use a sledgehammer when a screwdriver would do.
I think FolderOrganizer will be perfect for what you need.

[MOD] Color icons (from Tayutama rom) for Cognition Beta 7 (screenshots included)

I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device.
This is just a modified framework-res.apk and it was created as an effort to kill some time because I'm unemployed right now.
I replaced some icons including:
Battery - circle battery icon
Data Icon - more colorful
Wifi Icon
SD card preparation
and more...
I also replaced the default wallpaper with the one included in BETA 6 (the one with the leafs).
This is for Cognition 2.2 Beta7.
Just replace the file using Root explorer or ADB and reboot your device.
Enjoy!
EDIT: added some screenshots.
Screenshot please. Sounds good but id like to see a pic before I apply it
Posted from my Captivate
im still on Beta5 - will this still work?
I honestly have no idea. Dont know why not. But again I used the framework-res.apk from BETA 7. You should jump to it, I think BETA 7 is the best build evah!

If you use Astro file manager or Root explorer, do a copy and paste of the original file to somewhere else (like your SD card). Then replace the original file with the new framework apk.
Slick! Nice job!

Sony Sketch Font for Sony Xperia Z

Hi guys..For those of you who wanted or would love to have the sony sketch font for the xperia z, here's a simple editing in the system.
Make a back up just in case or obtain a copy by having a screenshot if you want to revert back to the default font on your system.
Let's start..
Now using root browser/explorer, go to system/vendor/etc/sytem_fonts.xml and press.
Press RB Text Editor
Edit name soma to roboto, SomaRegular.ttf to Roboto-Regular.ttf and SomaBold.ttf to Roboto-Bold.ttf.
Save and exit and then reboot. Simple and easy.
There you go enjoy your new system font.

Is it a stupid question that there's no answer about it ? In Stock launcher there's no way to fine tune font size other than in display option with "normal" "small" "big" etc.
