Hey all,
I installed Resurrection Remix last week and it ran beautifully, today I took it out to make a phone call and it had a random reboot. When it started up I noticed that it had black vertical lines on the right hand side. So I freaked out. Went into TWRP 2.7.0.0 and it still had the lines. Then I restored to my backup and now I'm stuck in a bootloop of the Verizon logo on the white background with the black lines still there.
Is there anyway to fix it?!?!
EDIT: I managed to reinstall the ROM again and it's running. But the black lines are still there.
EDIT2: Back into stock OTA rom that I backed up. Lines are still there.
The lines mean warranty time, I'm afraid. Hopefully it hasn't been over a year for you. If not, return to stock, contact lg, get new device...

Damn. :/
I'm reading this thread to bring it back to stock but still stuck on a confirmation of the state of TWRP after it's done.

But yea, I've had it for about 8 months. I'm in luck! If you can call it that.

Hey guys, I've got an odd problem and am hoping somebody out there can help me out.
I bought a nexus one a while ago and promptly rooted it and installed cyanogen's 5.0.6 mod. I followed the guide on XDA to the letter and had no problems at all. Cyanogen's mod was great and the trackball alert pro was amazing.
My brother saw my phone and after his jailbroken iPhone called it quits he bought one offline from www.google.com/phone. He asked me to unlock it and put cyanogen's mod on there.
I used the same files, that I did for my phone, and followed the same steps listed on the guide to the letter, just as I did for my own phone. I didn't change one thing in the process.
However, after booting past that lovely cyan colored x and getting into the phone, it would randomly reboot, and then get stuck at the solid X logo, forcing me to take out the battery. I would take it out, wait 30 seconds, put it back in, only to have it happen again.
I thought it was a wiping issue, so I redid everything to no avail. I even put everything back to stock, and tried once again doing everything I had done for my phone to no avail. I can't figure it out and it's frustrating me. All the files are the same that I used on my phone, nothing is different except the phone, yet whenever I install the Rom, it randomly reboots and gets stuck on the solid X logo.
So, as you can see I'm at a loss. I'm not sure why my phone works and his doesn't. FWIW his phone DOES NOT reboot when on stock everything, only when a custom ROM is on it. Also, I set my phone back to stock everything and re-rooted/flashed and have had no problem, yet when I do the same steps on his phone, random reboot/frozen.
Can anyone out there help?

Well I tried your suggestion with no luck. It rebotos and gets stuck at the X after about a minute inside the homescreen
Hey guys I was wondering what I can do to unroot my droid 3 and also revert it back to completely stock. I had frozen and removed some apps due to this being my first time using titanium back up and I'm wondering what I can do to do this. The reason I want to do this is so that I can go back to verizon and get a replacement phone because mine has just been messing up too much. I removed or froze all the apps that were safe to remove but it'll keep pressing space or backspace, it will stop with its service and not send calls or receive texts, it will have half a green screen when I push back and it's all just really annoying.
So please if anyone has any suggestions please tell me. I've tried to restore from titanium back up but it ends up just "clocking" when I try to restore sometimes. Also I dunno how to unroot.
here
i did the same thing... lol check out this link

good luck its easy
More power to you but from my experience I bought the d3 when it came out 2 days later I got the same problems green blobs when it redraws screen, space and backspace buttons sticking so I called verizon they sent me a new one, this was about 15 days ago guess what's back to affecting my phone?
I know that there have been reports of the green screen thing from people that use youtube a lot. But out of curiosity, have you flashed any of the ota's? Because I noticed the same thing until I went to 5.6.890

I haven't done anything more then remove / freeze some apps. I was thinking of trying to use the steel droid and I wasn't sure what the difference was from using 5.6.890. I'm still pretty new to all this so I was worried about what to do. Ill read up on how to do it today and possibly try upgrading to 5.6.890 and changing to steel droid.
I haven't yet installed the ota but my first glitches happened when I was unrooted completely stock and now their back and im rooted with bloat gone.................................................... < just spammed the period button damn phone
I have a Spint HTC one that was recently rooted. I am familiar with rooting samsungs and was very interested in the HTC ONE. Long story short, every bit of data was erased from my phone thanks to a "tech", I waited 2 weeks to get an OTG USB cable so I could get a ROM onto my phone that way, Well yesterday I got the OMJ rom to work just fine, but playing with it I felt I wanted more, so I went in and downloaded ViperRom. Went through the steps, choosing what I do and do not want on my phone. Well I finally made it to the lockscreen, once I unlocked phone it went to white screen with green HTC logo. I went back into twrp, cleared EVERYTHING so I could just start fresh like I did with OMJ. Still the same out come. I tried beanstalk, pacman, stock with goodies 5.5 v2. I have tried loading 6 or 7 different roms ALL with the same problem, lock screen, unlock, white screen with green htc logo. Then it just reboots itself. What am I doing wrong???
So now I have found viperboys stock deodex rom, I usb otg that rom onto phone, rebooted system. Unlocked the phone and the activation screen popped up! As I was putting in my password for my wifi, the keyboard dissapeared. Would not come back up. I contined through the set up and when I got to the main screen it was blank except for the drop down bar. I pulled that down, was able to get into settings, and when i exited settings to the main page, everything was there, stock. Then almost instantly I got a pop up saying "process system has stopped responding" Wait or Ok. I waited, 10 seconds later phone reboots itself. It turned back on, went through the whole set up again and boom, process system has stopped working. This time I clicked ok, instantly rebooted...am I screwed?

Did you make a back up of your successful OMJ ROM? You need to get back to a successful running point and then RUU back to stock.

PM away not a problem
Hi guys, I'm new here and I think I just messed somethin up.
I just rooted my G2 verizon last night but didn't install a custom recovery, just some apps and xposed.
Was tinkering around in xposed a bit and making a few changes to the statusbar etc while listening to some music. I realized the music was way too low and when i'm out in public i can barely hear it on my headphones, so i searched up an article that walks you through steps to boost the volume:
hxxp:// opensourcegangster .com/blog/2014/3/23/android-sound-mod-boost-speaker-and-headphone-volume
basically followed the steps in here, edited the XML and then powered down to reboot.
now the phone just gets stuck at the verizon screen forever. i get passed the LG logo. then verizon logo continues to animate and never freezes up, but i've left it on for 20+ minutes and the thing just wont get past the verizon logo. i'm thinking this can be resolved by clearing some sort of cache but i dont have a custom recovery installed. i even got lazy and decided to bite the bullet and just do a hard reset, but when i do, i see the little android logo, and then the lg logo, and then back to the verizon logo.
have no idea where to go from here
halp.
U will have to flash back to stock. Unfortunately u will loose all pics and files on your phone since this will wipe everything.

I am having a similar issue. Verizon G2, rooted months ago. I haven't done anything unusual lately.
Today, while using Chrome, the phone freezed and rebooted in a few seconds. Everything back to normal.
But then at night, after it is done charging, I noticed the phone freezed again. I picked up the phone and there were no response - black screen with green indicator light (I think it means charge complete). So I long pressed the power button. But then the boot ended at Verizon logo. I can see the Verizon logo animation but it remains there forever. Any way to recover?
Please help. I am hoping to recover some photos from my phone...
I've recently come across a new issue on my T-mobile Galaxy Note 4 that I haven't seen before. I've been searching online as well and can't seem to find anyone else posting about this problem either. I'm not the best but I have some experience. I've recently rooted and flashed tekxodus hybrid n4 5 1 1 rom on my note 4 through TWRP recovery. It took a few tries but everything worked. After using it for 3 days, I decided to turn it off and hard reboot it which I've done plenty of times before. But this time, upon rebooting it starts up and shows the tmobile logo screen and turns black. Vibrates twice as if you plugged it into the charger but remains black, and stays that way. If i plug it into the charger it shows the green battery screen and charges normally. I can enter twrp recovery and download mode as well. But it just can't get past the logo screen. I've also tried using a different note 4 battery from other videos, clearing the cache, delvik-cache, but nothing seems to work. As earlier mentioned, I can't seem to find any other post with this exact problem so I've come to reddit for help. Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Yeah, unfortunately that's what I had to do. I was trying to figure any other option other than having to reflash everything. Thanks for the tip though

Yeah, I knew since I could still get into TWRP Recovery and download mode I'd still be able to reflash stock roms. After I did, I did notice that the first "T-Mobile" logo screen lasted a bit longer than it did while it was messed up. I'm still not entirely sure what went wrong, but my only guess is that Tekxodus roms incorporate a app called synapse(possibly rom specific). I think I changed options in it which allowed me to overclock the cpu. I did reboot it a number of times after I set that up, but maybe something was stepped on through game editing apps which create/change app data. But it definitely pays to have back-ups to everything. Thanks for the reply too btw
Try flashing another kernel, sounds like that could be the culprit
