[Q] NFC Wont Working

Hello,
Recently i bought my Xperia Z C6603, the first impression made me very happy. I have imported my from Malayasia and the version of android it was 4.1 i think then i update with the official sony update software twice, now i have 4.4.2 installed. After that i started to test your functions and when i turn the NFC on, they dont work, the icon on status bar wont appear and when i come again to the connection settings NFC becomes unchecked again.searching for this i see many people with same problem after rooting (until then I had not rooted), and resolving by going to file manager> data> and rename a USF folder, but to that you need to root the device then i do that using the towel root. After that i navigate to data folder using the root Browser and dont see any USF folder.
Please help-me i dont want to change the official system ( i see other people with this problem resolving like this)
Sorry for bad english, it is my first thread here if have any issues pelase tell me and i edit.
Thanks

[Q] Cannot update Xperia Z1 to Android 5.0 Lollipop

Hello,
I cannot update my Xperia Z1 (C6902) from Andoid 4.4.2 to Android 5.0. The update was available for me since day before yesterday. I have downloaded the OTA 3 times. When I try to install it, the phone restarts and I can see the Android logo and a loading bar. However, after 15 seconds or so, the installation fails and the mobile phone restarts to the Android 4.4.2. On restarts, it says that the update failed and please download again. I also tried updating my phone via PC (I am using Windows 7 64-bit) using Sony Companion. Still, no luck. Sony companion detects the phone, tells me that there is an update available. I selected the option to update my phone. It asked me to disconnect the phone. I dissconnected the phone. It connects to the Internet and downloads something, probably Sony Update Engine. However, if I remember correctly, when it downloads the update package, it shows the size and time remaining. It did not show the time or the size. That means that it did not download the update package. After downloading the Sony Update Engine, it says that it is preparing my PC for the update (there is no more download going on). After preparing the PC, the Update Application is terminated. How do I solve this problem?

[SOLVED][D503][5.1.1] Wifi keeps dropping after 5.1.1 update

Hello,
After getting the latest 5.1.1 OTA (build 23.4.A.0.546), my Wifi connection keeps dropping irregularly: sometimes the connection is stable for one hour, most of the times it drops after a few seconds. This happens on any Wifi network (tried both home, work and public Wifi).
Sometimes after a reboot the WLAN mac address is "unknown" and then I can't get a connection at all (I have to reboot until my mac address "comes back")
The connection drop happens in Safe mode as well.
Steps I've tried to fix this:
-Repair phone with PC Companion => doesn't change anything, Wifi is even unavailable during the setup process after initial boot.
-Tried flashing with Flashtool to a previous Lollipop version (5.0.2 23.1.A.128 which worked fine with my phone before) =>
doesn't work: I can't flash the device, despite installing the latest (0.9.19.0) version of Flashtool and the drivers, I have the following error when preparing the firmware:
Code:
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Selected Bundle for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803). FW release : 23.1.A.1.28. Customization : Customized_FR
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - ERROR -
16/054/2015 18:54:07 - INFO - Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled
The firmware was downloaded through Mega, with a link provided in the Xda forum thread with the firmwares list.
For the sake of it, I tried with two different firmwares: another downloaded from the forum, and one from Xperifirm; unfortunately the same error happens in Flashtool when preparing the firmware.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
I'm using same version firmware and the Wifi works perfectly. have you tried deactivate "Auto IP support" and "Passpoint"? and try turn off Stamina mode.

Yes, both Auto IP support and Passpoint are deactivated.
The issue persists with or without Stamina mode activated as well.

I've downloaded two firmwares from that list and tried to flash my phone with Flashtool without success.
I already had installed the drivers while disabling the Driver Check Enforcement as specified on your link, and tried with the method described in http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/17/guide-to-installing-xperia-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/ as well but I'm having the same error message.
Any idea on how what I could have missed to make Flashtool work?
Thanks for your help.
Make sure you have the latest version of Flashtool and place it on root path C:/ or external HDD E:/ G:/ and so on. Firmware must be placed in C:/users/<your username>/.firmware (not sure if it is correct)

Thanks to you, I was able to find my mistake: I was foolishly trying to create the bundle from the downloaded firmware, but I just needed to paste the downloaded firmware in the folder: C:\Users\<UserName>\.flashTool\firmwares
I was able to flash my device with the 5.0.2 Lollipop version and the WiFi is working fine so far.
Still don't know why I had problems with 5.1.1 in the first place but I can work with the previous version while waiting for 6.x.x.
Thanks again for your help.

I'm having WiFi issue on 5.1.1 too, on my Z3 compact. Sometimes (seeming randomly) after waking the phone, the wifi icon in the status bar has a ' ! ' next to it for a while and I don't get an internet connection untill the ' ! ' is gone. Usually takes around 5 to 15 seconds.

Sony Xperia Z Bootloop At Optimizing App.. Android Is Starting

Haven't had any similar issue so far in two years. Just restarted today as I always do every other week to get into this mess. No new apps installed/updated within the past three days. Last thing I was doing was USB Tethering. No custom ROMs, running on the latest official updates, i.e. Android 5.1.1
What I have already tried is vol up&power, then vol down&power button, which did turn the phone off, but when turned on again, same thing started, and I can't get the Companion recognize it to be able to do a wipe/repair either.
Flash stock rom via flashtool
That's what I wanted to avoid.. Anyway not to lose the data? Also, where can I find version 0.9.13? I'm asking because there's this under the official Flashtool thread:
WARNING : Since Xperia Z, sony added a new set of files I called bootbundle. Those files can be bundled from 0.9.13 and can be flashed from 0.9.13 only. To all those flashing devices from Z edition to all after Z, it is highly advised to use 0.9.13 and to be sure FTF you flash contain the bootbundle set. I've been reported of hard bricks because of missing such set of files from bundles.

[Q] Went from CM12 to stock, bootloop while NFC firmware updating, can I disable it?

So I just flashed C6603_10.7.A.0.228_CE.ftf on my Xperia Z after getting tired of using CM12.
I'm not a noob, I built the FTF from an XperiFirm download and flashed successfully, and the phone starts up ok but after a few seconds of the "NFC Upgrading" overlay, the phone crashes and enters a bootloop following the exact same pattern.
I suspect I have a bad NFC chip, I've never used it anyway and I want to know if there's a way I can disable the firmware update for NFC so that I can escape the bootloop. Or else any fixes?
Any ideas guys?
