Quick question,
I converted my ATT HTC One (bought with contract so locked) to the GPE version. Is my phone unlocked? Don't have an extra sim card from a different carrier to test.
Thanks
Unlocking bootloader and converting doesn't unlock your sim, so, the answer is no

Sim lock has nothing to do with bootloader lock.
You'll need a code from sprint to unlock your sim. Or buy one from somewhere online. You'll need to provide your IMEI #.
Afterwards you can use any sim, no need to flash any roms. However, the sprint variant is limited to band 4 LTE.
So I had some trouble with my carrier and decided to end my 24month agreement with them due to lack of support and bad reception...
Anyhows, now I am left here with a locked HTC One, how do I sim unlock it/carrier unlock it ? I have Root and S-off, so obviously also unlocked bootloader.
It is the international version, I am running viperone 4.2.2 I belive
I would be so grateful if you could help me
Thanks in advance!
I bought a used Sprint M8 Not HK version
And I successfully unlocked the simlock, because I have been to China and I can use the GSM and CDMA network there.
I want to change my carrier as AT&T or T-mobile even if Version Wireless, but it just tell me the SIM Card Is Invalid !
I visited a lot of website and tried any possible solution on the Internet, include but not limite in: Change ROM,Flash Radio,Format /cache /sytem /data,Retry simlock again and again,Set QPST,Set CDMAworkstation,Set DFS ...
Well,
I even want to buy the unlock code from xxxxxx.com,but they warn me do not buy the code if the phone didn't request.
Why the phone didn't request the unlock code?
I truly hope I can unlock this phone,
If you know how to deal with it,Please help me!
I am using Sprint (maybe)original ROM,Software version 3.31.654.2,OS vision Android 4.4.4,Baseband version 1.08.20.0916
Even if you SIM unlock the phone you can't use it on another domestic carrier. If you're international that's another story.

But it is designed can enter the unlock code to unlock domestic carrier and international carrier.
And the domestic unlock code is actually exist, just have no idea why this phone not ask.
Maybe the unlock program damage the part of domestic unlock function?
Hey guys,
I have an AT&T M7 that is off contract and obtained an unlock code directly from AT&T.
Now, how do I go and SIM unlock my device?
Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.
Thanks

If you already have your unlock code thats a good thing. Now to use it, you must shut your phone down, insert a foreign sim card (from a different carrier than AT&T, borrow a friend's sim card if necessary), boot it up and you should get prompted to enter the sim unlock code. Once done your phone is sim-unlocked and will accept any carrier sim card. Your phone must be running the stock rom btw (or a stock-ish rom, will not work on Cyanogenmod for example but should work on ARHD).
Hi all, I'm giving away my old m7 to a friend and when we put the sim card in, it reports it is network locked. I have purchased a code from unlock river, but it's saying it's wrong. I just wanted to check if anyone has had this problem when unlocking a modded phone? The phone is running viper one 9, s-off, unlocked bootloader etc. It did have super cid but I reverted that back to t mobile UK to see of that made a difference but it didn't. The new sim is gsm like the old one. It could still be the code, but I wonder if the mods aren't helping.
Thanks in advance!
