Hello All,
Very desperate here. I was continuosly flashing firmwares to my htc one, then when i flashed the last one, and did the fastboot reboot command, it shut down and never came on again. No charging light to blinking lights nothing. I tried the little tricks i found online like holding pwr btn along with VOL+ and - btn.
Is there a way for me to fix this phone. Really really important photos are on it.
HTC ONE M7 PN07120 CID CWS__001 ATT.
The story.
I flashed the first firmware, then i noticed the wifi is not turning on so i went to look for the stock firmware, did not found it. Tried other firmwares until it lead me to this situation.
I am calling on the experts of this forum.
I live in guyana so no ATT/ HTC repair center.
There are quite some reputed repiar guys here though but i dont want to take it to them just yet, i like to try first.
Also when i plug it in my pc it show installing driver, one amongst them was QHSUSB_DLOAD
Please, i really need help.
Thanks so much in advance.

hey guys i searched and havent really found anything that matched quite what i had going on so here we go... I was 95 percent through flashing the ICS rom it got through the hboot section and rebooted.. on the screen i saw two arrows in circular form above a phone .. and something was definitely being downloaded.. then the phone went black, doesnt go into hboot, doesnt a charging light when plugged in , but is picked up by the computer, ie. connection noise. Im in no way a noob at flashing roms , but something is definitely wrong with my phone.. Any ideas? It was charged full battery by the way.. it does glow in a dull light when i push volume down and power, or power alone...
Your phone indeed seems to be bricked. The identification noise from the computer may just mean that your USB is receiving power from the battery.
When my friend had a similar problem with his Amaze, he went to the HTC service center and they replaced his phone after keeping it for 4 days
So taking it to bestbuy to get it serviced is probably the only alternative, since its insured through them... lol just my luck
I brick mines as well. If you love your device stay away ics for now .

That's not fair to say. There's plenty of users that flashed without bricking their devices.
I followed the alternate directions here and had no issues.
Dxtra...I was able to do it no problems...saying to stay away is not at all accurate unless u cannot fully comprehend the instructions...never tell ppl to shy away from improvements because u urself did not succeed just offer warning...it is the linux way

I'm not the only one with a brick device, there's plenty more on here. Our phone is a pretty expensive device if you got the money and you want to take the risk go ahead. Why would I tell anyone to flash when is not safe to.

Not sure why you keep posting it's not safe. I think I've seen like 3 people who've screwed it up out of probably 100+ installs. PirateGhost has released an ICS RUU which is completely noob proof so even unrooted users can get some ICS love before the OTA update.
As far as im concerned each one of us is responsible for what happens to our phones, warnings are put for a reason.. ive jailbroken, rooted the hardest of phones .. it was just my time for the inevitable to happen. I get my phone back in three days and you can be sure ill be back here again doing crazy rooty stuff to my phone no rom or dev should be held responsible for what ive done ..

Saying something is noob proof will inevitably prove that some where some noob will sow its not noob proof. I'll admit there were a few moments of panic when I flashed the zip method pg released. When that happened I just breathed deep and took my time and everything worked great in the end. I personally feel that what the devs have put out there is fairly safe as long as the directions are followed exactly.

I don't have the money to buy tons of new devices....its about knowing ur own limitations...do not criticise a devs hard work when it is proven to work...no its defenitly not idiot proof but it is very easy...I've done it to 3 phones already with no problems...the devs are not responsible for bricked phones

yea i must say it was a hundreed percent my fault in bricking my device so im not mad at anyone..and as far as the money goes its not a super big deal..i always make more o and btw im gonna be getting my replacement today and im gonna try this all again aft6er reading everything again and again and agian o and again lol
So, the phone is bricked. I have the same problem as the OP. I Lost access to Hboot while flashing ICS. I accidently sent it to recovery after Hboot update...and it never recovered LOL. Anyone know a good de-bricking service or know how much it will cost if I send it back to HTC or AT&t to fix it? I bought mine at the AT&T store, so no protection plan. I'm gonna get another device anyway (from Best Buy this time), but it would be great to have the Vivid back as a backup.
I bricked my phone Sunday night, still not 100% sure what I did wrong but it did what yours is doing now. I simply called the AT&T exchange by mail and used the factory warranty. Granted I guess there is a slight chance they could find out it was rooted (if they can somehow get it to recover or even turn on) but it got me a replacement... Food for thought.
Btw I got the new one and used the RUU and it worked seamlessly.

I did the same thing, selected recovery right after successful HBoot update. Then afterwards, each and every restart shows searching sd card with a black background. After several attempts of pulling battery, reinsert and power button + vol down, I was able to get back into HBoot. From there I immediately flash recovery through fastboot and now am happily on ICS.
If you did the same and phone boots up with the searching sd screen, there is a shot of bring it back.

Fraid it doesn't search for anything. I posted in the threads and tried everything I could think of and everything that was suggested. Though there isn't much you can do besides keep removing the battery and trying vol dn + pwr. Just a black screen.
Just a few things I tried (removed battery each time)- vol down + power (no sd card in) = blank black screen
vol down + power (with sd card and PH39IMG file) = blank black screen
vol down + power > boots to blank black screen, wait few seconds > press power button (like I'm going to fastboot) > plug into computer > type fastboot command into command prompt = command prompt says waiting for device
I always read the directions and threads a bunch of times before doing anything. Did lots of reading, google-ing, and searching. Fraid it bit the dust. I appreciate the help though. This is the first device snafu I've had. I've never had to send a phone in for any kind of warrantee work before. Hence my question above about getting it fixed.
Just in case, if it were to boot to that screen, what would I want to do? Just the PH39IMG? Or is there some other procedure?

Who TOLD you to flash the phone??? When I got my first android phone, a Samsung Fascinate, I LOVED the phone but nervous AS HELL that I would brick the phone. And I read, and read, and REREAD, trying to make sure I understood everything so that when I went looking for help, I at least could say, "Yes, I already tried this, this, and this".
I think the key thing to all of this is in two-fold - one, as someone stated before, this is a developer's forum. If you work on your car, and forgot to put oil in it, are you going to blame your mechanic? If you change your brakes and did not do something correctly, causing an accident, are you going to blame the car manufacturer??? Two, it states in MANY places, before you post, READ, READ, READ. It was actually ADVISED to NOT FLASH this ROM...
From this point forward, it almost seems as if there needs to be a waiver release to download roms, stating you will not ridicule nor torment the developers. And though I had heard about it but never seen it before, as I am on my 4th Android phone, there definitely are a few VERY NOTICEABLE disrespectful and ungrateful individuals in this forum. If you were my kid, and acted like that to me for something I GAVE YOU, I would do the same as PG - TAKE IT WAY and forget you.
Hi guys, this is first time posting in the HTC Incredible S forum as I usually stay on my own X8. However, my dad is pissed off with htc and I offered to help.
Ok so here's what happened. My dad upgraded to the 4.0.X official ROM software. But somehow or another the games first started crashing, then one day he woke up with an error message saying that his applications used up more battery than his charging. Then his whole phone went dead.
So anw he sent it to HTC for repair but it costs $300+ and i'm quite poor so please can anyone help me?
BTW, it's not boot looping. It's totally screwed and can't be turned on.
Here's the weird part (i've never encountered this before). He didn't even root it or modify it in anyway (not even using a different launcher or wallpaper other than stock HTC ones).
So could somebody tell me what's wrong? Cos I'm a sony user and i've no idea what are you guys talking about S-ON thingy and whatever.
And could someone tell me how to fix his phone?
Please?

try taking the battery out and putting it back in. otherwise take out the battery and plug the usb cable in and see if the phone boots up. if it does then either the battery is either screwed or something is wrong with motherboard or something like that. if its completely stock run a RUU that you can get from the development page which will put the phone back to stock. EDIT- here is a ruu http://d-h.st/AYt
$300+ to repair an HTC, what is it made of solid gold? Another thing, why are you paying for your dads fone to be repaired???

Anw to the guy 2nd post thanks i'll try it
and i'm not paying but i'm just helping. And if i repair it I may get one step closer to having a new phone (current is LG cookie non-smartphone).

The Flash is probably screwed... Try reflashing to stock...
You need to relock your bootloader and flash a RUU.zip which is the stock 4.1.2.
The phone is fully stock and the bootloader is locked..

Unless you wanna go digging around and try to fix it, and risk HTC saying whatever you try to do to fix the bootloop is what caused it, I'd say call HTC.

Yeah I mean ive factory reset it and still no dice. I just wondrr is this a common problem with new ones ? Its kinda ironic that I would get sent a spanking new flagship to redundant a phone that broke 7 times and the new one dosent even boot out the box. Im actually quite sad and fed up. So speak to htc then ?
I feel your pain. I haven't heard of it happening before, but there has been many quality control issues with the one.
Yah I'd call them, the first step to trying to fix it would be either unlocking it, or s offing it, and you run the risk then of saying you're the reason it bootloops...
Sorry there's no easy fix.

Hello,
Maybe I'll buy a HTC Sensation XL with a problem.
The problem is that the screen goes black after 10 or so seconds.
I've searched the internet already but I've seen a lot of options.
Maybe one of you guys could help me to say if I need to buy it or not.

It goes black after what ? After you turn it on ? After the HTC logo ?
PLEASE I keep telling this on all support boards that I find, be _PRECISE_ when you describe your problem.

I finally got an answer!
The HTC goes black after the HTC logo.
It means that the ROM flashed is corrupted, it is easily repairable by updating the doing a factory reset/flashing a custom ROM.
Thank you for the confirmation.
I thought exactly the same
I'll buy the HTC Sensation XL.

Hi, good day
can you update on what happened to the xp? Where you able to buy it and reset or flash it?
Hi guys,
After a couple of weeks trying to solve my problem, I couldn't help but submit it to you all. What a shame!
I received an old HTC one m7 by a friend who is so rich he can afford to give away such a smartphone he gave up using it since he has a problem a few months since he bought it. The phone stopped working, so he asked a friend to repair it so he could use it again. Well, the guy who modded the phone (I don't know who he is) said the phone could not be reset, and he should have modded it with a cooked ROM.
And here we are. He flashed a ROM I still can't identify, with an improbable CWM recovery in Thai language. This ROM is jelly bean based, it's widely bugged and speakers don't work. Since my friend couldn't use the phone to make calls anymore, he switched to an iPhone (heart attack!) and abandoned this amazing phone.
Now I have the phone, and I'm going crazy trying to find a solution to bring the phone back to it's old glory. Since I'm a poor owner of Sony devices, I have no idea of how to mod an HTC, and unfortunately many guides on the internet expect that every single person on this planet knows what they're talking about.
Here are my troubles: I don't know how to check if the phone is S-off (and I have no idea of what it means) or what is its CID (what's that?!). I can't flash a twrp recovery, and I can't speak Thai, so I can't use the current recovery. I don't know if the phone is branded. Bootloader is different from the ones whom I find the screenshots on the internet.
Can anyone solve this enigma?
Here are some screenshots.

everyone on here is going to ask you this question, and so am I, we need your fastboot getvar all without the IEMI and serial number, but as you probably don't know how to use that, then do this for now:
hold down the power button and select restart, whilst the phone is shutting down, hold down the volume down button, don't let go until the phone comes back on, should come back on to what is known as the bootloader screen, please take a picture of this and post it.

Also tell us what your phone's original Model ID is. It will be written on the back end, at the lower side.
That way we will get the idea of your query from which region the phone was made to work and on which network.
Because seems like it's firmware was converted.
Here it is! Does anyone know Thai? Or Chinese? Or whatever the hell is this?

That's Chinese. And does not look like the HTC One M7 bootloader screen. The ROM also did not look like stock Sense 5 (bits of it did, but that might just be HTC apps installed from the Play Store). Get the fastboot getvar all results, but for now my suspicion is that it might be a very nice looking clone.

Damn, those Chinese guys take cloning pretty seriously!!

I'm wondering if there is any chance either to flash a ROM or to update it, because speakers and Bluetooth don't work.
It's an HDC clone.
